Stratos Chinese rom vs English rom - Amazfit

Does anyone know what are the differences between these 2 roms (other than language ofc )? Is the Chinese one more advanced (for example someone said that Chinese rom has auto pause function and English don't have)?
I would be very grateful if some1 answer me!!
Thanks!

You can take a look at the Chinese forum (http://bbs.huami.com/forum-41-1.html), there are weekly updates with descriptions of the changes. For me it working good to translate the page with a translation plugin in chrome browser.
There are a lot of changes like virtual rabbits, routing an navigation back to start and many more
I'm owning the stratosphere for 2 weeks now, are there experiences regarding how frequent the update cycle of the official english rom is?

Thanks for answer and link.
I have Stratos for one month now and there was only initial update for it. It is shame that the updates are so slow.

Chinese rom get multilanguage
When will the stratos chinese ROM will have multilanguage feature, means capable to have english and also connect to strava. It will be a good feature..

[Q] input language

From what I understood back before ICS there was no way to add another input language dictionary to an already compiled version of android on a phone. So most keyboards with multilingual support have separate language packs which can be downloaded optionally. However, this means you had to choose to use a keyboard other than the built in Android keyboard.
Now that ICS is out I flashed it on my Nexus S and noticed there are add-on dictionaries in the Language & input setting in Android Keyboard under "Keyboard & Input Methods" (click the 3 sliders to your right) and then towards the bottom under "Text correction" clicking on add-on dictionaries brings up a page with all available. Some are installed and some can be installed. Unfortunately none with the language I want.
So My question is, how do I add another add-on dictionary and has this issue been fixed in the new Android ICS 4.0?
Here is some additional info I found over the months of FroYo and GB input language dictionary issue:

Here is the exact keyboard but with some additional language packs which, unlike Google's, can be added later:

Anyone? Bump...
Anyone? Bueller?

This is very interesting for me too. I don't see Norwegian in the list, but I'm hoping once the Galaxy Nexus is released in Norway, the add-on dictionary will pop up in that list
I have a UK Galaxy Nexus, but this would also be interesting for everyone on custom roms who would like to use the standard keyboard and who are not writing in english.
+1 for this message.
Portuguese appears on the list, but there's no dictionary available for download.
+1 for this. I have the same problem on my Galaxy Nexus. There is a refresh button on the dictionary list so maybe Google will eventually add it but nothing so far.
Wait. So Android 4.0, the newest bestest Android version ever...
Is just for English users. Seriously?
I just thought/assumed it was a shortcoming in the current experimental builds I was running. This makes me seriously reconsider putting money into the Galaxy Nexus.

NO.
Currently the system KEYBOARD have: english, Cestina, Nederlands, Francais, Deutsch, Italiano, Russian and Espanol.
and we're awaiting more to come as it checks online for more dictionaries downloads.
But is it going to be possible to set the phone language to English, but set the language for spelling correction to Dutch? I know you can set the keyboard language to Dutch and install the Dutch dictionary but that only show correction suggestions in the bar above the keys and not if you touch the word. So now every Dutch word I type gets underlined even though I've set the keyboard language to Dutch. It doesn't do that if I set the system language to Dutch.

+1 I'd really like to know how to do it too
4.0.3 is supposed to be the "baseline" release of ICS, according to JBQ from Google.
The source is now available and so is some unofficial builds.
Has anyone checked them out to see if they include anything new in this regard?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
Running aosp 41 which is great but nothing more other than what was already mentioned in add-on dictionaries. I assume it could be included in the ROM when compiling bu tthe developer has not answered my question on this yet. You could probably just compile the keyboard apk and replace the default. I know this was possible on GB because CyanogenMod 7 initially had about 100 dictionaries for the HeroC but sometime down the road it was cut out from the build to save space.
Is there any new news of how to add dictionary to Android ICS??
Bump.
Anyone solved this?
I've been trying to solve this weird problem since I started using android.. Not that i really miss the feature, but just because I can't stand it not being solved.
I use a USA (Verizon) droid 3 in the Netherlands. I used morelocale2 to set it to country: the Netherlands and language: English because by default I can only choose English and Spanish. With morelocale it works fine.
When I press the mic key in my homescreen, it uses dutch voice recognition (which works flawlessly btw). But when I want to use this voice recognition in any other app, it says "voice dictation does not support current language". When I change the input language under multi-touch keyboard settings to English, it will English voice.
I don't understand why it says it doesn't support it!! It DOES, as I can use it in the homescreen without any problems!
Thanks
This has not been fixed in Jelly Bean either.
Text correction is just available in a few, select languages. Availability of languages doesn't seem very improved since ICS, but the list has gotten a little longer.
It seems absurd though, that we should not be able to add our own dictionaries.

But other phones in my country that are "native" European phones can use voice dictation in all apps.
For me it doesn't work, even though it works in my home screen. There must be something I can change..
Can't load English UK dictionary
I have an excellent 5.7" MT6589 device known as STAR or BLUEBO B6000. I can set the system language to English UK and select the additional English UK dictionary and it says it's downloading but it never seems to load and the keyboard spell checker thinks that every word is wrong. This seems to be an issue with a few of the available ROMs, mostly based on 4.1.1. Any suggestions.

[Q] AOSP Keyboard Dictionaries

Hello.
I am facing a great problem with AOSP keyboard dictionaries. I am hoping to use AOSP keyboard with my own language (malay) and therefore I also require the spell check to work with it.
With my current Cyanogenmod ROM, I cannot seems to be able to correct any of my spelled Malay words; presumably, there aren't any dictionary of it.
Concerned, I tried to use France as the language, shocked, the spell-checker works with France. So, this made my guess about the missing dictionary a possible-true thing. Add-on dictionaries is "empty" and also I cannot find a way to add any dictionaries.
As I am rooted, are there any ways I can force add the malay dictionary?
I am thinking of finding the English UK dictionary and translate it by-hand (working hard for it) and then put it back onto the system. Anyone who can guide me with this?
Ironically, changing CM's main language into "Bahasa Melayu" or Malay seems to work. I am not so sure why it doesn't on AOSP keyboard.
One thing to note, please don't recommend me installing another keyboard. No, I just want to stick with the mighty low resource fast and trustful stock keyboard.
Device Specs for someone who needs it:
- Xperia SP C5303
- Cyanogenmod 11 Kitkat (which is 4.4.4) nightly
- of-course prerooted (it's CM)
Thank you so much in advance if you are looking forward to help me Have a nice day.
Hello. I understand that one would not automatically gets reply on the forums, but doesn't there be anyone who at least know little about this matter?
Bumping this up
Last bump before I bump again a month later
Bump!! Abandoned for a month but I really still need a workaround for this.
one last sweet bump
It is most likely that the AOSP keyboard just doesn't have that language built in and as most aosp apps are left for dead by Google it would take someone to manually add the code into the AOSP keyboard on the source level. Just because the the main language changes doesn't mean the keyboard has the language.

Chinese MM roms, translation please?

Hey,
In Chinese MIUI forums i saw a few ROMs based on android 6.0. I tried using Google Translate to read their description, but translation is so lame that i dont understand anything.
Could anyone please try to give us here any description about those? I think the most important things are bugs, and other possible issues.
Please, i would be much grateful.
Yeah, that would be great.
I knew a bit Mandarin language and I think it does support Lunar calendar, so it may be heavily modified Cyanogenmod. I couldn't find any word with "bugs" meaning, so maybe there's no bug. CMIIW.

Some one instal? I wainting for my band
Look on github.it and on the Amazfit cor Italian page on Facebook, if you haven't already.
Please send me link.
I was really excited with this good looking new Amazfit band. But a big letdown is that you cannot initiate / start a training from the band. You have to get your phone, open the app and start it from there. This is not practical at all for anyone that tends to have a lot of small trainings / work outs within the day, or even within an hour (like dancing, etc). Even my Huawei Color Band A2 can do this from the band itself…
Does anyone know if this feature can be integrated in the future on the Amazfit Cor / Midong band via a firmware update ? Xiaomi is usually very supportive with it’s devices.
Let me share some info on the Midong / Cor / Smartband
- The latest firmware update has added a new icon that allows you to start an activity from the smart band. :good: As I have been informed: It only has only one activity called exercise, and it measures the pulse, calories and time so it can be useful for Spinning, CrossFit and any exercise in general. The Smartband stores all the activities, and when starting MiFit they are downloaded in MiFit. Amazfit Cor / Midong does not have GPS so it does not measure your speed, if you want to measure your speed and see the route on a map you should start the activity from MiFit instead of the smartband. If you start the activity from the app it will show you the steps, kilometers and more information because it is a combination of measures of the smartband and the smartphone.
- Good news is that they have started the promotion of the International Version (too expensive, though). This at least confirms that the English firmware is on the way. It' s just a matter of time ! (see attached screenshot)
- You can find the Chinese version much cheaper on Banggood, Gearbest and Geekbuying. Most probably (although I cannot confirm it) it's exactly the same hardware, and as it happened with the Amazfit Bip, the Chinese Midong will get updated with the english / international firmware in the near future.
p.s. This is the Telegram Midong group (Spanish mostly) chat: https://t.me/AmazfitMidong
I have mifit 3.1.9 and after instalation new frimware i dont have start the activity from band.
Firmware 1.0.6.22
edit:
I instal beta mifit and now i have this option.
If some one can help me how to make translation i will be grateful.

Question K50G - Chinese language appearing in main apps

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere but I couldn't find anything unfortunately. I was recently gifted a K50G (AMG Edition) which seems to be a nice upgrade from a Mi9T, however I've noticed despite changing the system language to English that certain bloatware apps from Xiaomi such as the main music app, browser etc are all in CHN language.
I'm aware that this is a Chinese phone rather than a global one so certain features maybe limited but I'm just wondering if there was a solution for this, or if any ROMs would be needed?
