Boosting Gaming Performance and Experience on karate/karatep (Lagging, Screen Flash) - Lenovo K6 / K6 Power / K6 Note Guides, News, & Dis

Yes, yes, you landed here because you could not put that last shot in the head while on the brink of health and got shot because of that... LAG!
(a generic PUBG Mobile Player on karate/karatep)
You have:
*the best 20Mbps connection (and look jealously at your friend's RedMi Note 4's smooth gaming, with better graphics)
*often exited the game by pressing back or home repeatedly (again you look at Samsung/Mi's gaming mode preventing keypress)
*that flash flash flash on the screen like an Indian television soap, even with the lowest settings (that's a frame rate issue)
And then you think...yeah the Lenovo advertisement said "Unleash Kickass Power & Performance" on K6 Power.
So now that the generic user has rooted, and running on a lightweight rom such as lineageOS 8.1, what has he or she or heshe got to do?:victory:
A slightly helpful article: https://www.xda-developers.com/improve-fps-pubg-android-games-gfxtool/ (but this mostly for pubg, might be applicable to other games) #SupportTheDeveloper

Buy Redmi note 4 :+)

don't make my phone cry. it already submitted to note 4
Rather suggest some tweaks apart from opengl msaa forcing and clearing ram

Xperia Ultra for gaming

Since a few people have got the phone already I was wondering what their gaming experience has been like.
With the screen and processor/GPU this may be not just the best gaming phone but perhaps the best portable gaming device out there.
Which games use the Ultra's hardware to the fullest? Are there any Android games with 1080p ?
SG deadzone, Asphalt 7, need for speed, minio rush ..................... Work great, smooth without lag. Visual so reality. Only the sound from the device not good. Better use headset.
Sent from my C6802 using xda premium
Dead Trigger works like a charm too though im not sure if it is 1080p not that i think anyone can tell
With graphics setting on high, everything is fluid but the 3000mah battery only lasted me about 3hrs of gameplay on low brightness (0%)
and the screen makes gaming awesome too
TDKR (Batman) looks great every time I play.
There are ZU gaming videos on YouTube.

Whatabout emulators? Does the software home/back icons interfere with the virtual buttons that sometimes get pretty close to the edge of the screen?

I have no idea. Search YouTube for something like "Nexus 4 emulator games". Why the Nexus 4? It has on-screen buttons. Either way, if they don't disappear while gaming and it bothers you, you can choose to wait (if you decide to get the ZU) until the ZU gets root. You'll then be able to quickly toggle the buttons on and off.
Hmm, if you toggle it off, how would you be able to "quit" your apps since the back button is missing? For my current note 2, if the app freezes or something goes funky, I can hit the hardware button and force the device back to the main screen, so I'm not sure how that works for onscreen buttons since I've never owned a device with no home button.
I confirm game performance are sick. There is no lag at all.
Do you remember that part on "Iron man" when on first startup there is lag (you know that moment). Here on Xperia Z Ultra there is no lag at all....I guess adreno 330 is good gpu.

CM10.1 has a feature that's called "Expanded desktop" which hides the status and navbar. You can enable/disable this by pressing and holding the power button (like you do when you want to power off/reboot your phone), and you'll get the option there. This is available system wide, so it's always an option to enable them again no matter where you are (games etc.). That's a custom ROM though, and i'm sure there is a similar mod for the Xposed framework (100% speculation), so you don't have to flash a ROM, but being rooted will be enough.
Ah thanks for the clarification. I've always been weary of custom roms due to bugs (camera not working, GPS feature broke, can't make calls, etc) but that's for another discussion.
What are the best emulators to use?
Sent from my C6802 using Tapatalk 4
Depends which system you're emulating. Which ones you have in mind
most games are actually 1080p already smooth even for Adreno 320, you can tell by taking a screenshots and having a look at the pixels
- Shadowgun deadzone, 1080p + AA, 60fps on Adreno 320
- Modern Combat 4, 1080p, 60fps on Adreno 320
- Temple Run 2, 1080p, 60fps on Adreno 320
- Asphalt 7, 1080p, 60fps on Adreno 320
- Need for Speed Most wanted, 1080p, 60fps on Adreno 320
- FrontLine commando, D-Day, 1080p, very smooth on Adreno 320
- Fast and Furious 6, 1080p, very smooth on Adreno 320
- Ripetide GP 2, scalable from ingame options, variable smoothness on Adreno 320
- Beach buggy blitz, scalable from ingame options, variable smoothness on Adreno 320
- Iron Man 3 runs in sub 1080p, like 720p scaled up, variable smoothness on Adreno 320
- Real Reacing 3 sub 1080p as well, variable to average smoothness on Adreno 320
on Adreno 320 all the above games run liquid smooth already with the exception of Beach buggy blitz, Ripetidge GP2, IronMan 3 and Real Racing which seems to jump between 20fps and 60fps, these are the best games to test the new powers of Adreno 330

Important is not to see what about already existing games. Using a Nexus 7 with custom kernel and none of those games are lagy. The 330 is yet to have show it's power as there is no game using 100% of it now a day. Need to see upcoming games and upcoming custom kernels as well. This device is really promising, only lack as for any device is the time the battery last while playing. Almost time the only solution is to play while plug to the wall, but it kill the battery.
Are there any upcoming games which are likely to put the 330 to full use?

Actually no, and I am happy about it. Would feel really bad if just after put my hands on the latest phone with latest GPU, the GPU would already be at its limits. But with time everything come.
cytus
Anybody tried playing cytus on ZU while putting it on a table? Had a lot of misses when I have to press two notes together as though my finger wasn't detected.

Just wait until we get JB 4.3. The Snapdragon 800 supports OpenGL 3.0, which is one of the new features in 4.3. Games will look even better.

Coming from xiaomi redmi note 3 pro high edition

Now I have a nexus 6p, I love the vibration motor, display and reception, but really really disappointed for processor, very slow, too much thermal throttling, too much stutter and slugginess,I have still my xiaomi and it is better in everything except camera and display.
Hating nougat tho lol
yeah, I agree with you. I'd a htc one M8(32g version) before and let me tell you my M8 very smooth and battery life is good audio in speakers and headphones are great. and most things that important to me having various developers with many differences in their roms (specially: Viper(venom),Sky Dragon(sense&gp), InsertCoin, leedroid, eragon, renovate, revolution Hd,MIUI,sk-redbull,...,too many aosp& CM mode) plus too many batches include great audio batches like Harman/Kardon or Boom sound and Beats audio,..
likewise I have multirom with 3 base of android (kitkat/Lollipop/Marshmallow) in sense roms without any issues
Of course I know the camera or display in Nexuse 6p is great battery not bad and sound not too far from M8(in speakers mostly not in headphones sadly) but I expect more than this because it'd costs 200% more than M8 to me
however could be worse if I bought Note 5! ? ? ???
sorry for my bad english-noob words!! ?
Useless post. Return the phone.
Have none if those performance issues. Maybe u mistakenly have an iphonie instead of that badboy 6P!
Really thermal throttling starts at 45 degrees and phone on idle stays at 43-44 Lol , most of the time 1 or 2 cores are offline or frequence is cutted down, is It for real Google?
Return the phone and buy another. Stop complaining.
Yes, all the review sites and youtubers call it fastest phone, but probably you are right, its slow slugish and stuttering lol

You can edit thermal conf, make it throttle later. Is kind of the point of a nexus, one can root it and do pretty much what one wants.
Actually I'm using It without thermal engine, and now It is better, but very disappoint this processor

Getting FPS(Frames per second)drops in games.

Buy another phone, not Huawei their Kirin processors are not good. They somehow perform well in benchmarks but they are a lot worse in real life than snapdragon or exynos (and of course apple)
I benchmarked many games... Maximum 10 min of gaming then there is thermal throttling because it gets too hot. Then fps drops 1/3 at least.
Just tested pubg on HDR setting and anti aliasing enabled. It starts with 40fps but after 5 min drops to 15-25fps and also lags, unplayable.
Even normal games with not so good graphics get fps drops after 10-15min like Sonic. Common Huawei, my sister is playing Sonic on a 250€ Samsung A5 2017
Look at the screenshots, it starts with 40fps but many lags and frame drops. After a couple minutes it drops to constant 20fps. The other shows CPU usage but that is not working obviously. Somehow it gets an average of 30fps but that's bs. It is not playable.
Yeah.. Same with me when i switch to HD settings of pubG it lags little bit.. But when i switch on HDR it become unplayable. I will upgrade to one plus soon.
Thanks
if you got root then disable the power genius app and restart. this app slows phone down to prevent overheat. i tested this with pubg and asphalt 8 at 60fps. constant 60 FPS even after 30 mins of gaming. with HDR i get constant 40-45.
PS: the phone will get warm because of 12 GPU cores so be in a cool room while playing.
same here. using m10p and lagging on PubG even on High settings. But it improved on the latest firmware (BLA-L29 C636 B138)
PUBG lagg on Mate 10 Pro not because of Kirin. It laggs because PUBG is not optimized game at all. Same for people that play PUBG throu their desktop computers. I watched my friend playing PUBG on his 2k PC and still gettin' FPS dropped and lagg. Although Mate gets hot after 10 till 20 minutes of gaming.
Interesting to read this, I have a Note 8 atm and I play a lot of PUBG, I'm about to trade my Note 8 in for a Mate 10 Pro (Don't judge) as I'm a little bored of my phone now and annoyed of the poor battery life and awful mono speaker. The Mate 10 Pro ticks more boxes for what I require, so I'm hoping a software update will fix the FPS.
I don't play PubG but I do however play the recently released Asphalt 9 which as far as I know is pretty intensive and get minimal heat and it runs smooth for well over a hour, I don't notice any FPS drop, I haven't checked statistically what it's running at while playing but if the drop was severe then I'd definitely notice it

Thanks for this info, sounds like I should expect similar to what I get at the moment then, maybe an improvement once the update comes out to boost the GPU.
I used to play Shadow Fight 3. Till the release of update 142 it worked flawlessly, even on longer playing sessions....then,dunno what brains of Huawei did,it became unplayable.

Sounds to me that they like bringing out these new features, meaning these new features are "let's break something that worked perfectly before"...that's the gist I've got off these forums.....I'm hoping I'm not going to regret my decision now I've ordered the Mate 10 Pro
Exactly. That was my thought too.
But I'm keeping it cuz of job and unrivaled battery life. As a business phone it's flawless.

One of the main reason I'm moving to the Mate 10 Pro is for battery life, it'll be nice to have a phone that can last a whole day with heavy use, my last phone that did that was iPhone 6s Plus.

Fps drop bcause of overheat. the cpu and gpu will reduce the speed when reach certain temp to prevent soc chip die....if u are gamer, use smartphone cooler or buy rog phone

Throttling Test on your Mi 9

I've tested my Mi 9 on many test from AnTuTu, Geekbench, passmark among others and it's test really well.
On geekbench I'm getting 11,300 on multi core
On AnTuTu 8.08 I'm getting 441,000
But I was curious to see how well it throttled as I know it cools well. I run it hard and it takes everything I throw at it and after watching test with the new ROG 2, Black shark pro 2 among others that are the best gaming phones with supposed to be better cooling for performance I wanted to see where the Mi 9 stacked up.
Watching other Mi 9's I would say mine is a top performer but I would love to know what others are getting.
Top gaming phones even with fan cooling are running 88-92% throttling. Which is a excellent indicator of gaming performance,
Well my Xiaomi Mi 9 ran for working on it to straight test 91% after 15 minute test then a reran it back for another 15 and it got 92%. That's extremely well and will run with any gaming phone out and passes the OnePlus 7pro!!
So I would love to know what others are throttling.

General [CLOSED] (Under construction, WAIT!) Kernel profile: - LAG_TERMINATOR™ III - IMPROVE PERFORMANCE N' BATTERY LIKE NEVER BE4

MOD EDIT: No placeholder allowed and the major content of this post saying "S7"?
OP, please take some time to edit your forwarded post in a proper format. Thanks.
The T800 travels from the FUTURE to bring YOU the POWER AND BATTERY of a Galaxy S10+ to your beloved S7, while fighting obsolescence...
Version III features:
° 14 hours of battery life sustained with OneUI 5.1 (STOCK kernel)
+ 14 hours of SOT
° About twice or more the speed with no Lag por shutter
° Vídeo about how to apply UV properly and recommended ROM and kernel and many extras (Such as GPU Turbo and FPS screen uncap) ( In s23U don't needed! All of that in only 14 hours! And for free!!
This revolutionary CREATION of mine will give you the SAME (not shame) optimization as Apple do with it's phones (Tremendous battery life and smoothness) But with two or three times the amount of ram, better screens twice the cores, battery ,etc. So:
HERE IS THE AWESOME SPEED YOU CAN SPECT Before/After:
AND HERE IS A BENCHMARK WHERE YOU CAN SEE TEMPERATURES OF 20 OR MORE DEGREES LESS THAN STOCK ROM, WHILE SAVING BATTERY Classic s7 results.
"65% of charge in 30 minutes full charge achieved in less than a hour..." With Aosp only
Q: Why does the manufactures do this bad on stock on purpose?
Two things, MARKETING and PROGRAMMED OBSOLESCENCE which lead them to even put 10 core when a Apple device with two high power cores (Iphone 7 plus) eats it (Mediatek 10 core setup)
Q: What kind of results will i experiment?
With LATEST LINEAGE 16 + Morokernel + this AWESOME PROFILE and with a non-degraded battery you will experience the performance of a Samsung Galaxy S10 with the battery life (and also charging speed, if you have a QC 3.0 charger... of the Latest huawei/honor phones (8 hours SOT, 65% in 30 min) feeling the ui completely lag free, the apps opens right at the moment, and scrolling is like butter. Also runs very very well like a SD 855
IN S23U and, from that, ALL S23 LINE YOU CAN SPECT MUCH BETTER RESULTS!
So i upload you the profile, you will need the following: *Updated S23*
1: Root and follow the guide as close as the video on S7, disable two cores (7/8) and put the freqs as close as the video, you can even CUSTOMIZE it If you want. B throut the best results, following the Guide. You can use Mtweaks or Kernel auditor.
And If you want throw some benchmarks for cpu/gpu temp and SOT feel free to TEST.

Hi! touching my phone and having common sense let me know that the Exynos GPU and the low power cores/high power cores have a little nonsense regarding to STOCK thermal and CPU/GPU freq/usage, so, i change between low power cores to high power cores at 50% it's minimum frequences and let the system to use ONLY the high power cores, heavy underclocked, since our phone have thermal copper plate to avoid high temperatures there should be no problem.
But the MORE INTERESTING part of it, it's that this Exynos allows to underclock a LOT among other things, except the GPU which doesn't go really well with underclocking so, when i do this mod, i was able to boost the overall system performance (daily use) like our S7 Exynos is like two or three generations after it regarding to performance! While turning on only hardcore CPU's and not the EIGHT OF THEM the phone not only runs wayyy better, but also runs VERY stable and cold, even better than stock.
Regarding battery life, the overall pack which you only have to import through "Morotweaks" you not only have a lot more benefits regarding low power consumption, but, when you use the powerfull cores ONLY at higher frequency, the Exynos is able to deep sleep more often than before... Regarding additional benefits into the battery life/heat area.
This looks amazing, but where are the download links? Also, will I void my warranty if I use this kernel?
Uhm this look sus
does anyone know how to install? I don't quite understand how to do it
