Replacement Charger - Huawei MediaPad M5 Questions & Answers

I lost the quickCharge charger/cable already for my m5 10.8, and I'm looking to buy a replacement.
Which charger is the correct one? is it the 9V 2A one that some others use? or is it the 4.5V 5A one?
i cant find an official replacement anywhere. (I'm in the northeastern US).
thanks for any help you all can provide.

Original: 5V 2A or 9V 2A

Charger replacement

hi,
i lost my original charger and would like to buy replacement. which can be not htc.
what are technical characteristics of the original charger?
mA, V?
i need with european plug.
thanks!
43 ones read the post and no one replyed. Cmon?! don't you have a charger near you? what are mA and V of the htc original 3part charger?
You can't expect people to reply within 7 minutes of posting a thread Give eBay a go, it'll be your best shot. I've got loads of extra chargers, but they have a US plug (not that hard to get a converter btw, super cheap).
Hope this helps http://cgi.ebay.com/EURO-AC-mini-US...ries?hash=item3ca4fc9c2b&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
I've lost the orginal charger somewhere, and I was not able to find an original replacement. I successfully tried both following, but I use the second one:
1) Sony AC-U50A: Input Voltage 100 240 V 50/60 Hz, Rated Output Voltage: DC 5.0 V, Rated Output Current: 500 mA (http://www.sony.it/product/paa-ac-adaptors/ac-u50a)
2) Philips SCM2280/05: Voltage Required: AC 100-240 V, Voltage Provided: 5.6 V, Output Current: 500 mA (http://www.consumer.philips.com/c/power-solutions/universal-usb-charger-scm2280_05/prd/gb/)

Be careful with other chargers, they can actually hurt your device. If i'm correct, original HD chargers charge at 1000 mA, not 500. There've been several complaints with Motorla and Nokia chargers that end up messing the battery and the device so just a heads up.

Hi,
I know how to search the ebay or dealextreme.com. If you read my first post it asks for electrical characteristics:
what are technical characteristics of the original charger?
mA, V?
And not "where to find or how to use ebay search".
Thanks for your response.

Could you (or anybody else) confirm that original charger has a label 1000mA on the back?
Bulka..
Manau visi HTC pakrovejai yra 5V 1A. Turejau P3300 ten irgi buvo 5V/1A, dabar HD irgi tas pats...
I think all HTC chargers are rated 5V 1A. My previuos Artemis charger also was 5V/1A, same is for HD charger.

Ačiū. Ieškosiu reiškia 1A pakrovėjo. Maniškis atrodė taip pat kaip nuotraukoje.
Big thanks goes to golfietis!!!
500mA isnt the cause of the charge issue on other phones.
500mA is what PC USB sockets give, and will mearly take twice as long to charge your battery than a 1000mA (1A) charger.
voltage is the dangerous value here, but anything using USB-type connector should be 5v.
if you want OE stuff, try http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_phone.aspx?i=173502

Need the power specifications for the USB charger

Lost my USB charger and have to charge my N10 with my One X's charger. Since that is only 1A charger, charging is pretty slow.
Could anyone provide the input and output power specifications for the USB charger that ships with the tablet?
Thanks in advance.
I'm looking to get this charger, do you think it would work?

That one has the correct output as the OEM. The OEM's input is .35A instead of .5A but that shouldn't matter.
Standard charger is [email protected] but it's debatable how much of that 2A the Nexus is actually taking...

is this charger fake?

Pics attached. I have read on the site below that if its made in Vietnam that its fake, is this true?
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/blog/2016/05/how-to-spot-a-fake-samsung-fast-adaptive-charger/
When hooked up to ampere it charges at just over 1 amp, no where near its 2a rating.
I have three of them from 7dayshop.
Did you try enabling Fast Cable Charging? S7 uses 9V at 1.67a, at 5V only around 1a

Buy Huawei wireless charger. It comes with 40w wall charger and cable
Igree, buy the wireless charger that will come with a 40W charger and a cable.
I'm using the cable and 40W charger separately as one package and then I have connected the wireless charger to an ordinary USB-PD outlet which gives fast charging on the wireless charger and superfast charging over the cable.

Original mi 9 mdy-10-el 27w wall charger

Were i can by the original MI 9 MDY-10-EL 27W wall charger? Not EH, it's USA, Chinese plug adapter, with EU plug connector (Web, online shop). I don't need the wireless charger 20W, i bought it already. Mi France sell both for 50€, it's expensive. I found another one at Aliexpress, 18 USD, but I don't trust the seller, he has only 3 buyers and there is no aftersale expressions. On the other side, other products from this seller are poorly rated.
Bought 2 of those, can confirm 100% original at https://www.gearbest.com/chargers---power-adapters/pp_009422733270.html?wid=1433363

I bought a charger from there too, I tried 2 adapters (US to EU) and 2 cables (original Xiaomi cable and Baseus 5A cable), but I never get over 3300 mA. So which cable do you use? and which plug adapter?
And do you see Charging Turbo while charging? Because I don't. I'm running Xiaomi.eu ROM as well.
I have screens posted on another thread in this subsection charging it at over 4800mah if you don't want to believe me. Use the search function.
EDIT: Yes, turbo charging is instant, also am using xiaomi.eu

Which app didi you use to measure it?
I get something around 3800 ma/h with the official one I bought at a Xiaomi store here in Shanghai.
I use ampere and accu battery for measuring.

Ampere Pro. By the way I use the official cable that came with the phone.
Also, keep in mind the charging amps will fluctuate during the whole process, as in ANY lithium battery in the world. To better have an idea, monitor the charging when the phone is around 30%~40% charged.
The guys asks for the EL version, specifically said he does not want the EH version, but what do you all do ? Recommend the EH version, of course.
Great help you are.
I can't find the EL version anywhere except bundled with the 20W charging pad. I don't understand why it is so hard to find
Thank you all. I didn't find it. I bought the original EH version from Gearbest, with gocomma EU plug adapter. It shows charge turbo.
I have a turbo showing adapter which has that distinctive "l" icon, but it never goes up around 2300-2400 amps. I'm assuming it's fake. So just getting turbo sign or a case without printing errors doesn't necessarily mean that the brick you got is genuine.

Well, I did not find it even like that. I only found some pictures of it on here, from a French guy who had it bundled with his Mi 9, and on some Russian forum.
I don't get it why Xiaomi does not sell it separately.
But it won't matter when the 40W version arrives for the Mi 9 Pro.
mdy-10-el is finally available on AliExpress and price is great 8-12 eur

I'm sorry but you are wrong.
Xiaomi "Turbo Charge" 27W only works with the Xiaomi 27W adapter which is NOT QC4 (still QC3, with proprietary solution for 27W delivery)

Turbo Charge 27W work also with Baseus Wall Charger http://https://sklep.telforceone.pl/en-gb/product/2223356/2237051/baseus-wall-charger-pps-qc-usb-pd-45w-white-with-display
or Baseus PPS car charger. Max power is 27W. When i use a original cable and conect to USB-A port in charger my phone display "Charge Turbo" so its QC 3.0 dual channel charging.
When i use USB-C to USB-C cable and PD socket (QC 4.0+) charging similar speed (usually 10V, 2,7A) phone display only fast charging. I test also POCOPHONE F1 and Charge Turbo displays only when i use PD socket.
Anyone know where I can get the UK variant from? I hate using those nasty adapter plugs...
Hi, it's me again. I found and bought MDY-10-EL 27W wall charger, from Aliexpress. The cable is thinner than the original one, but never mind. The charger shows charge turbo while charging and it's ok. But, I can't connect this charger with the original 20W wireless charger! I tried with the sellers cable and the original cable, nothing! When i put the Mi 9, even without transparent case, on the wireless charger, it can be seen nothing!? There is no signs of charging? Besides, with the other 27W fast charger US plug (MDY-10-EH), i have no problems. Wireless charging is working. What can i do with this charger MDY-10-EL, to make it working with 20W wireless charger?
Just one notice. The wireless 20W charger is functional with the original Mi 9 18W charger. The phone can be charged. It's not fast charging, but it's charging! On the contrary, the fast 27W charger is not working with the wireless charger!?
