Assuming you've tried the ROM since you're posting in its development thread, did "meh" mean it was only so-so, and what specifically did you like or not like about it?

The only very minor issue I've had is that in the "About phone" part, if i touch "System updates" then the settings app closes. There aren't any updates, so no real reason to touch that, but it's something I've noticed.

New build with July security: https://potterroms.me/Invictrix/Invictrix-potter-8.1.0-1.0-UNOFFICIAL-20180714-0333.zip

Official Invictrix is here!
Official OTA builds have begun as of this week. The first can be downloaded HERE.
I've updated the OP with new links to the Invictrix OTA page and recommended GApps packages from GZR (pico gapps) and Beans (nano gapps), as well as a link to NanoDroid's microG implementation by @Setialpha if you prefer to go without Google.
Happy flashing!

Check the kernel source link in the OP. Wireguard-related commits are in there. iirc, it pulls the latest version via http when the build is started, so it should always be up to date.

Has anyone tried dirty flashing this over Omni?

All your builds are AOSP?
Can be flashed at N or MM radios?
Which of them has/have omni switch for recents?
I'm on RRemix(14.08), which one I should try? @obsolete1

Omni is AOSP
AOKP is Lineage
Cosmic, Carbon, and AEX are CAF/AOSP
Haven't messed with N radios so I'm not sure.
OMNI for sure, Cosmic & Carbon probably not, AEX does not (or I can't find it anywhere), AOKP maybe but unsure.
Take your pick OMNI, Carbon, and AEX are the most up to date I just finish downloading sources for Cosmic again. Last build I had for Cosmic had serious audio issues so I never uploaded it. But I'll see if I can't figure it out.
Wow, new roms. A week ago i flashed RR but i'll try Carbon or AOSP Extended, one of my favs. Nice work man
iptables TTL target in kernel
Hi,
You kernel seems to be compiled with the netfilter TTL target for iptables.
Code:
android_kernel_motorola_msm8992/include/uapi/linux/netfilter_ipv4/Kbuild
...
header-y += ipt_TTL.h
...
If you run
Code:
cat /proc/net/ip_tables_targets
is TTL listed?
I'm having trouble finding a kernel with the TTL target for iptables.
Thanks
I forgot ask about wake gestures. @obsolete1
AEX hasn't wave, pick up to wake.
/Flashed AEX.zip, aromaGapps.zip/
Omni has gestures(works not bad), nice dark theme, google play services has stopped, the same aroma gapps for both roms.
/Omni.zip, aromaG.zip, magisk.zip/

Have you heard of CypherOS? It's literally AOSPA with a different logo. They have a build for Clark that boots and is almost perfect except the screen often times doesn't turn back on when you put it to sleep, requiring a hard reboot. If you were to take a look at that, you'd have something that's almost functionally identical to AOSPA.

I've tried, seems to be a problem with the ROM itself.
Is it safe to flash the kernel on LOS roms?
No, your phone will produce mustard gas.
Just being annoying with my TTL request here...
it seems that just adding:
Code:
CONFIG_IP_NF_TARGET_TTL=y
to
Code:
android_kernel_motorola_msm8992/android/configs/android-base.cfg
and compiling would get TTL target for iptables into the kernel.
Is that how it works? Can anyone point me to the easiest kernel compile guide?
Not looking forward to linux. I always mess it up.
thanks

Is your latest release for AEX using your latest kernel. And not asking for an ETA but how often will you be building AEX. Just want to know because I want change ROMs to AEX but don't want to flash now and then again in a day or two because I usually clean flash.

[ROM+KERNEL][7.1.2][OPTIMIZED][BLU][SLIM][UPSTREAMED] BlackX Revolution

BlackX ROM is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and smoothness over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.

*/
BlackX ROM is based on LineageOS which is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps).
Anywone who wishes to contribute to BlackX ROM is free to give their feedback in this thread.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

Kernel with optimizations, additional tweaks and updates (based on Blackscreen and Blu_spark kernel, also I suggest to use this one)
UBER-ified JustArchi's ArchiDroid Optimizations (O3, Graphite, Strict Aliasing, OpenMP, etc.)
SDCLANG LTO implemented and applied on several parts which have impact on performance

I never saw any difference with all the roms I've tried using my ATH-MSR7. The only difference is if you use dolby or not

If official LineageOS builds support it, then my rom too. I saw it in settings, but my country doesn't support Volte so I can't tell you for sure
Another rom for our device so we are lucky with our dev communauty:good:

Infrag's aicp have custom patch. Try. Is the only rom for the x2, in my opinion, that have a good sound without using any eq.
I use that for this
I've asked because i want to try other rom without losing quality sound

Last security patch from Xiaomi was 2017-1-1, that's why vendor patch is out of date (and will always be).
You have to enable root manually in Developer settings after installing the addonsu package.

Woow, everything works so well and tons of features, I love it already. The only feature I didn't see is SMART PIXELS which helps in battery life. Also LiveDisplay doesn't work because you can't set it to Day only or Night only. Pls will there be weekly updates?

yes iwill make build every week this is my first build so wait it will be more fixes and features
new build very soon now i changed the kernel so now is more stable and the selinux is enforcing
( you can suggest to me some features to add if i can )
To me one of the best Pie ROM, since yesterday everything is running so well with and tones of great features. Pls include SMART PIXELS because it really helps in squeezing battery life and check the LiveDisplay settings again because things don't add up. You can't set "only day" or "only night". But so far one of the best PIE ROM. Is going to be my daily driver. Thank you for this great ROM.
