Stratos QR code after initial pairing - Amazfit

I had a bad experience where my phone prompted me to repair the stratos again for unknown reason. I tried and of course it wouldn't pair. So i thought i would just disconnect and pair it again. Big mistake!
The QR code in the watch was nowhere to be found. Then i realised it would only pop up on initial setup after booting from factory settings. So long story short, i had to factory reset it just to get QR code to pair back my phone and watch, lost a day's data. This setup is thoughtless, in my opinion.

I facing this issue when i get my phone today
just reboot the watch and my phone able to pair with it already

1. You can always show QR code, simply by enabling app list and starting a (hidden) builtin app called "BLE connect", search XDA for more info;
2. Your report is very weird, first I have never seen a "prompt to repair" anything on phone or watch (I have Pace), what exactly showed this message? Amazfit app? Secondly, if you logout from your account on Amazfit app and remove the watch from phone's Bluetooth settings it automatically pairs again next time you login (using the same account, of course).

I've just try and error here, and succeed.
Apparently, another way would be generate the QR code online using the Bluetooth address of the watch, then scan using the phone.

QR code picture
I have had this happen to me several times so the last time I needed to re-pair the watch, after defaulting the watch to bring up the QR code I just used my wifes phone to take a picture of the QR code. Now I can just scan the QR code jpeg off my laptop screen with the phone app to pair the watch and keep all of my settings, watchfaces etc withought a default reset on the watch.

Can you please provide more information on this - it doesn't seem simple or obvious to me. Thanks

Either install Amazmod and go to settings->QR code or go to watch settings->about click many times on serial number until Lab is unlocked, scroll down, a new selection "Lab" will be shown (inside about) click that and then click on App List. Get out of settings, your launcher will be restarting, go to apps and select the "BLE connect" app.

Hi,
I found how to enable "Lab", clicked on it, but don't have "App list"...

the simplest way is to generate a qr code with your devices bluetooth address (like "12:34:ab:cd:89:xy"). and just scan it in the app.

[APP] [FREE] QshareR - Copy text from pc to smartphone clipboard with a snapshot

Hi everybody!
We just released on the Play Store a free app called QshareR.
The main idea is to give an easy way to transfer text from pc to smartphone.
To do it, surf to our webpage qsharer.com [*need link here*], insert your text and create the QR code. Scanning it with QshareR you will have the text automatically copied on your smartphone clipboard, ready to be shared through any app installed on your phone.
It is also possible to encrypt the QR code that contains your text, with a 4 digits PIN. So you can share the QR publicly, but it can only be read by someone who knows the PIN. Scanning an encrypted QR with QshareR will automatically make appear a dialog, now insert the right PIN and you'll be able to read the content.
Play Store link: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ackorim.qsharer
We'll keep improving the app, so any comment, tip or review is more than welcome!
Let us know what you think, thanks!:good:

[Q] Need SIM to sign in to google account?

So, a few months ago, I tucked my Amaze 4G phone away b/c I got a new phone with a different carrier. I reset it too and so all my accounts were removed. I doubt I threw out my SIM card, but, it's not in my phone, I probably put it away somewhere.
I then read about how I can use my old phone as a GPS. I first had to root my phone.
So, I found this forum and I got to step 3 based on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1426377
I did get a successful message (I can't remember the message now, but, it seemed successful), but, what exactly does it do? Should I have an extra recovery file on my computer or phone? I don't see any new file created on my computer. So, I just want to make sure it worked properly before moving on.
At the same time, I tried logging into Google Play using the app, it doesn't work. It says username and password mismatch. I tried it using my browser and I can log in. Does it have to do with not having a sim card. Do I have to have a carrier to log into Google Play app. I tried adding the account in the the settings and it still says I can't log in. Any ideas. I tried countless times, it can't be a username / password mismatch. I tried it several times on the browser without a hitch. Why is that?
I'd like to install a gps app on my phone, but, I can't log into the Google Play app.

So you're connecting over wifi? The sign-in may not work from a phone until you've told the setup app to try again, then press settings before inputting username/password, and selecting browser log-in.
The browser will open on your phone, and you can sign-in that way. You most likely had 2-step authentication enabled, and the sign-in setup doesn't account for that, thus the browser. The second part of the verification will be whatever you've set up with google for the second step--be assured though that if it's a code texted to your phone, you can't receive it on an old gsm phone without a sim card--you'll have to receive it on the new phone, then input it into the field in the old phone.

I see, that worked. Thanks.
I guess I'll put my other question in a separate thread.

Amazfit Stratos English version received

Hello,
I just received my Stratos English Version and was trying to sync my activity with Strava. The Accounts are linked into the Amazfit Watch App, but no sync happen. I tried with Walk, Run, nothing happen.
I also tried to pair MiFit App with Amazfit Watch, but also, nothing happen, it simply opens Amazfit Watch app and no pairing is happening.
I wanted this pair to be able to sync Steps with Apple health. I read that on the pace, the firmware needed to be Chinese ?
Thanks in advance
So I solved one of the 2 problems ..... I saw that my 2 IDs were different in Mi fit and amazfit, so I created account again this time with google sign in. I have the same account ID on both apps.
The sync to Strava is working, but I still cannot pair with Mifit ....
You will not be able to pair International version with MiFit. Only Chinese version pairs with MiFit, but it does not have Strava.
is there a way to extract and sync steps with apple health on the international version ?
I have my Pace synced with both MiFit and Amazfit international versions, I've used a Google account as well. You may need to activate apps listing to fire up "BLE connect" to show the QR code to pair without reseting the watch (unpairing in Amazfit app will reset the watch). Or, if doesn't work, install the Chinese version to pair watch, then remove, then go to international version again (may be complicated on iOS, I did this on Android).
when I put the chinese version of amazfit, it cannot read the QR Code .... it put always scan failed

There are apps and tutorials about it elsewhere, but basically you push an empty text file named "launcher_config.ini" to /sdcard/ on watch. You can also use a third party launcher as QuickLauncher as well, or any other method to open the app, of course.

I think it is different on the stratos, because I cannot see a sd card folder on the watch

Even with a different account and/or after resetting the watch?
Yes, I log in the International version with Google, in the chinese version I have a xiaomi Account with a different User ID.
I tried to reset the watch, delete the bluetooth profile in the phone.does not matter, always a pair error.
May be they have disabled the ability to pair an international watch with the chinese amazfit ?

I don't know, I have a Pace, but it worked. Try creating a new account for the CN version, sometimes it lets it pair again.

Try set the region to China.
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Sorry I forgot to mention this, but I had set the region to China !
on IOS to switch to China version of the Amazfit software, you simply have to switch Region of the iPhone
Hi,
Can you tell me the diameter of the watch ? I can not see this specification nowhere ???
the overall diameter is about 47mm ... If you want one, I can sell you mine, the sport integration is not complete enough for me.... I'm living 80 kms from you
What a shame I ordered one just 4 days ago from AlliExpress
I have also a Fenix3, complete for sport but a little too big for daily use
To Scan the QR Code I had to dowload the Chineese version App on Store. QR code was not detected with the EN/EU version App.
Worked for me English version with English app.

Amazfit Bip Lite alternative app

Hi, I've never had other smartwatch. I got it as a gift. First of all I was surprised that it doesn't work standalone at all. You have to install MiFit app to just start watch to work (after quite long time of installing/updating watch's firmware or so). What is more, You have to create an account on a manufacturer server to use the watch. Than the data are synchronized between a watch and phone. I do not feel comfortable to use closed source apps due to fact I do not know what of my data (in fact) are collected. Even if a manufacturer says in terms and conditions that he collects just these and those data You never know it, You can not check it due to fact that software is closed source. So I did create an account, started the watch and than uninstalled MiFit app. I can use the watch only as regular watch (to check the time), check my pulse from time to time and how many steps I did during the day- that's all. Do all smartwatches work this way? Why do I have to have MiFit app working in background, be connected with manufacturer's server to transfer data between my phone and watch? Why bluetooth enabled is not enough once both devices has been paired? Is there any way to control the watch without MiFit app installed and working? Thanks in advance.
You definitely need a MiFit profile.
As alternative app you can use "Notify and Fitness" app, that can be used without the MiFit.

Regards,
Thanks for a reply Prompter. I know that I need a profile to activate a watch. My main problem with using This watch is that I do not want to be constantly connected to server with an app which is closed source. You told me about an alternative app which is also closed source :/. I know that I can use gadgetbridge open source app after created a profile with MiFit, but Than I need a rooted phone to obtain an individual special key for my device. I have no rooted phone. ..

Issue with notifications from one single app (N26)

Hello,
this thread is very specific because it's about a single app from a single bank that operates in Europe (N26).
I hope to find someone who has the same bank who can tell their experience.
So the issue is this: if I tap on any notification coming from this app, the notification disappears and the app does not open. For example if I have to confirm the desktop login through the app, I click on the notification and nothing happens, so I have to manually open the app in order to retrieve the popup message and take some action.
Needless to say, I tried to uninstall and reinstall the app on my S21 with no success, and I tried the same with three other phones in my family (Oppo, Huawei, Honor) and with these other phones there are no issues opening the notifications coming from this app, they correctly redirect to the app showing the required popup.
Anyone who can check if they have the same problem?
Or in general has anyone experienced the same problem with some other app? Any suggestions?
Thank you
Edit: I managed to find someone with that bank account and the same device. He tested for me and confirmed this behaviour. So it must be an S21 series problem
Try clearing the system cache... can't hurt.
