Insctruction
Before proceed backup all you important data like pictures, files to another device.. !
Make sure you follow all steps carefully with caution .. !
You need to be on oreo stock firmware if you are not unlocked or don't have TWRP follow this guide.
Code:
1- Flash your Firmware [B][COLOR="Red"](VERY IMPORTANT)[/COLOR][/B]
2- Flash TWRP, We need a recovery with [I]AROMA[/I] support, [B][URL="https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Y9OCwwpeqlokLsCgxwmrGRgC7aeJcE7r"]get it here[/URL][/B]
[U]Method 1[/U] : It's a flash-able zip via recovery, after you finish reboot to TWRP again
[U]Method 2[/U] : You can also extract the twrp.img and flash it using fastboot
3- Enter TWRP and Flash ROM zip
4- Reboot to System
IMPORTANT Make sure to make the new phone & messages app as default from Settings> Default app settings

- Make sure to make the new phone app & messages app as default from Settings> Default app settings
TWRP freezed during ROM flashing
- Read the instructions from op you need to use TWRP with graphical flashing support you will find download link there
I am getting a bootloop
- If you can't boot your phone you're probably doing it wrong, follow op instructions exactly as listed above
- Wipe data (Factory Reset from TWRP: Wipe > Swipe to Factory Reset)

Xperia xZ1 have new update
Has anybody gotten this to work with TWRP on the XZ1? The only working TWRP that I know if for our phone is the one by Modpunk and that doesn't support Aroma files.
Can't believe it, I was waiting for a ROM like this for a year! Would be avaiable for XZ1 Dual? Thanks a lot!
I wish I could try this ROM but the problem is I intend to sell it soon and unless there's a way to relock or at least hide "boatloader unlocked warning", I won't be able to do so.

It's based on Janjan's kernel .205 so i suppose the answer is "yes"!
But if you test with another (older than .205) let us know!!
Maybe you should quote the dev to know more about!!
Feedback would be nice for this. I doubt it works unless someone knows how to make an aroma file work with Modpunk's TWRP...?

Wait for v4.4 I am bringing a couple of changes you can choose which apps to remove in the debloater
because apparently removing some apps is causing problem on XZs,XZ1,XZP
Any idea when 4.4 might happen to be dropping? Not asking for an ETA, just a ballpark idea.

Version 4.4 will be based on 12,235 or all on 12.205? The idea is that the phone goes into sep but after selecting the language, the wi-fi network, trying to log in with the google address it gets into the black screen ...
Can I go over the setup process, that is, I go into the system without connecting to google? is it possible in oreo?
I am not sure why on XZs/XZP/XZ1 you can't complete your setup wizard.
Has any one tried the ROM without the debloat part and see what happens ?
I don't own this device, I only test on XZ (kagura) so it's a bit hard to me to figure this out
For those having the issue try to include any logs that could be helpful, mainly AROMA installations logs. On all other devices Xperia X,X Compact and XZ everything is working smoothly with no such problem, either Sony has made restrictions to new xperia devices so you can't use device with missing apps/files ? DRM keys related ? I am not sure. I turned this ROM project status to WIP (WORK IN PROGRESS) until a solutions is found .. I am dropping another update V4.5 with a couple of changes
Update : I think I discovered what's causing the black screen issue on XZs/XZP/XZ1 expect a fix in next update 4.5 within a day or two
BAD!!!
I have flash v4.4 in 12-135, after installing i got bootloap, I boot.img fastboot from "janjan", got into the system, the problem is that the root was lost and my camera does not go, the rest of the applications and what you included in this rom are installed .. sony is playing users, not the repaired DRM..

Ow, right I have edited the camera files with the one from ray, but the problem is I can't test it myself..
Maybe you help me test it on Ray?

Nope, sorry, if you read changelog you would have seen it I love the Xperia S stuff 2, but as long as sony hasn't made an ICS rom for the Xperia S it is very difficult, or maybe even impossible to port the Gingerbread apps to our ICs beta rom since we have no resources...
I themed the music app, and thing to xperia S style Like statusbarwidgets etc, Timescape is just the one from ICS beta rom

I included the patch in my rom normally, but it doesn't seem to work, just started over from the Ray ICS beta rom.
The download link is on the first post as test version 2

Where can I get Mike's kernel for my device ??

Where is Developer Options and Performance settings ??

I can't read anything in Messaging app ?!
- Don't be so afraid like that. Press menu button, select Settings, and you can personalize looks and feel of your Messaging app there

Some apps have bad layout ??
- Of course because they're made for HDPI+, fix: simply change your phone dpi to 140 OR change per-app density to 140 (just like PA)
Your ROM is fast !! But other 4.2.2 ROMs are faster ??
- Nah, don't ever try to compare this one's performance with it's 4.2.2 brothers.
Why ?? I think u already know, this rom is half CM10.1 and half SONY 4.2.2 fw.
All SONY 4.2.2 fw are made for it's HIGH END devices that basically not our device, so they're very hungry in resources.
I HAVE and I WILL do my best to handle the performance degradation of using SONY's fw.
So don't complain to me IF you found this rom has worse performance than other 4.2.2 roms, complain to SONY instead..

1. No MSC, only buggy MTP. I think in newest build by shufuking it is fixed.

I don't tested this rom yet, but since it's based on 4.2.2 you may do this(Settings>About phone>Build number click 7 times) to open developer options.

I think you may add "Settings>About phone>Build number click 7 times, to open developer options " to your Q&A in the first page, because many people ask for that. Just my opinion.
P.S: Great work as always, I'm thinking to give a try to this rom, since I don't use a vanilla rom since I bought my phone

I have found a solution for the battery drain
Follow these steps:
1. Switch off ur phone
2. plug in the charger and wait for 5 min
3. switch on the phone with the charger plugged in
4. the battery will now be charged to the fullest
Do you know if the Bluetooth headset will be fixed? I tend to talk a lot on the phone and so I use a Bluetooth device.

1. Flash CM10.1 LX 20131108 kernel for your device
2. Enter recovery
3. Wipe data (no need to do if you came from JV-EX 5.x)
4. Flash JellyVanilla EX 6.0

7. Boot your phone
8. If you get black screen after setting up phone, just press Home button
9. Let the ROM idle for a minute, and... Done !!

How to disable small apps ??
- Freeze/disable 'Small App Launcher' then restart phone (or just restart SystemUI)
Your ROM is faster than NOS !! But some other 4.2.2 ROMs are faster ??
- Nah, don't ever try to compare this one's performance with it's 4.2.2 brothers.
Why ?? I think u already know, this rom is half CM10.1 and half SONY 4.3 fw.
All SONY 4.3 fw are made for it's HIGH END devices that basically not our device, so they're very hungry in resources.
I HAVE and I WILL do my best to handle the performance degradation of using SONY's fw.
So don't complain to me IF you found this rom has worse performance than other 4.2.2 roms, complain to SONY instead..

Only with that kernel you can use your wifi..

Hello everyone.
Development of JellyVanilla EX 7.0 was started but due to certain unavoidable reasons iiandskater cannot continue the development of the ROM for now.
He unfortunately had to sell his modding device and cannot continue development at this time.
For resuming it as soon as possible he would firstly need a device, that he does not have at the moment.
So this is a request to everyone to please support him appropriately , via donations or any useful stuffs that could be used in furthur development, so that we see a mind-numbing JellyVanilla-Ex 7.0 sooner than ever.

Installed this rom on my urushi device and now I can't restore apps from titanium and even install for example timely or link2sd and some other apps, to my impress I installed adaway, gmail and other google apps. But I don't understand why I can't install apps listed above? It just says application not installed and no reason why... How to fix it?

Install Zip Signer from playstore and sign the apk with media keys.

Only Paid apps will need to be patched, every other apk will install normally.

Before proceed backup all you important data like pictures, files to another device.. !

You need to be on oreo stock firmware if you are not unlocked or don't have TWRP follow this guide.

I am getting a bootloop
- If you can't boot your phone you're probably doing it wrong, follow op instructions exactly as listed above
- Wipe data (Factory Reset from TWRP: Wipe > Swipe to Factory Reset)
I made a phone call. There was nothing on my screen

Rom seems interesting but I'm getting a WAP Push and google play store stopped working message, cause instant black screen at the start after connecting wifi so can't do anything after that.
Any help to this? Really wanted to give it a try!

Wait for v4.4 I am bringing a couple of changes you can choose which apps to remove in the debloater
because apparently removing some apps is causing problem on XZs,XZ1,XZP

In this new update you will be asked to choose between two different levels of bloat removal
Level 1 - Mostly third party apps probably most stable option
Level 2 - More aggressive can cause problems on some devices

Version 4.4 when I set up the phone I still get the google sevice message has stopped, and can not set up the phone

You need to be on oreo stock firmware if you are not unlocked or don't have TWRP follow this guide

I am getting a bootloop
- If you can't boot your phone you're probably doing it wrong, follow op instructions exactly as listed above
- Wipe data (Factory Reset from TWRP: Wipe > Swipe to Factory Reset)
I made a phone call. There was nothing on my screen
- Make sure to make the new phone app & messages app as default from Settings> Default app settings

1- Flash your Firmware (VERY IMPORTANT) WHAT IS THIS? ISNT IT INCULDED - IN THE ROM
2- Flash TWRP via Fastboot (hold vol up + plug usb) ALLREADY HAD TWRP SO DONE
3- Enter TWRP and Flash ROM zip DONE IT
4- Reboot to System DONE BUT STUCK AT SONY LOGO
OR WHERE CAN I FIND THE FIRMWARE? PLS EXCUSE MY NOOBITUDE -_-.

You have to flash over an installed ROM. installation says that before flashing it over a ROM you have to perform factory reset but worked fine for me without it. Just keep a backup and then flash it over existing ROM

Skip the Script Tweaks in Aroma Installer! thats not for X

Followed instructions, did a clean install after flashing latest firmware, some of main the functions are crashing like phone dialer even if I am using stock xperia apps without any pixel add on, gone crazy while setting that tiny font to normal one and still don't know how to do it (maybe I am just silly), but that's just minor problem ... really appreciate what you did here for our device, but still need more stability and exclude things that are "not safe" for device... you know, that feeling when you install fresh rom and everything goes so smooth

It's my first post.. I'm going to share how I flashed this..
Just flash any Oreo Rom for your device from XDA, BEFORE flashing AROMA
Any Oreo Rom should work.. But I flashed the Stock Oreo Xgen Rom:

Then I turned on my phone, I let it get to the welcome screen.. Then I went back to TWRP, and THEN flashed this AROMA Rom.. I Clicked on what I liked, and I rebooted and turned the phone back on :good:
It Looked totally different now, like a mix of Sony and Google..

LTX Battery tweak listed in Extras is not for use with Xperia X?

I just flashed on my Xperia X Single Sim.
It looks like fully light as said. I will try this ROM for a couple days and feedback to you. Peace.
Feedbacks
- Google Keyboard stucked. So I disabled it and flashed Xperia Keyboard. Xperia Keyboard is working fine.
- Here is AnTuTu Score. If you cant see the photo, its 102331.

- Cant install Xposed Framework. Its little bit sadly.
- Dialer chooser doesn't work. I choosed XZ type but it installed Google Dialer anyway.
Does this rom has camera2 API enabled? I really wanna use the google camera on my xperia x. I've tried many ways to get the google cam but nothing worked.
One of the best custom ROMs out there for Xperia X, very stable and up-to-date (considering the fact that Sony no longer supports X).
However, it seems that mobile data (4G) can't be used. I tried to re-flash the ROM several times and it was still the same problem. Stock still works so it's not a hardware fault.
