I'm using a OP5T with rooted OOS.
I'm encountering a problem where tapping URLs in certain apps (Boost for Reddit, FB Messenger, Tapatalk, etc) won't open my Chrome browser, but will take me back to my launcher with the "Google Play Store has stopped"
I have quadruple-checked that Chrome is set as the default link handler, have denied Play Store from opening any URLs that arent play.google.com, cleared cache/data, rebooted etc, but the error still persists.
I've found people having a similar issue, but in their instances it was them being taken to a Play Store listing for shady software instead of the correct URL (due to malware). In my case, it seems like the phone is trying to go to PS instead of Chrome, then crashing PS when it can't complete the request.
Any ideas?

I have been facing a peculiar problem with the google play books app. Everytime i open a book, after the first few seconds or so, the text minimizes to an extent that multiple pages are shown at the same time on the screen. Obviously its unreadable. I have googled the problem, but no body else seems to have it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Also its the same for both my own epub books as well as books from the google play store. The funny thing is that this also happens with the scanned pages books(in the free section of google play).
Can please some one help me with this. Thank you
P.S: I use google play books on a rockchip rk3066 device
So I have an odd issue with the Play Store. I have 2 Google accounts. The main one I use does not show my apps in the market, in fact it shows nothing. When I try to download any apps, I get error code 927. The only way I can download an app through that account is using the web page to push the file to my phone. I added my other Google account to my phone and can download any and every file with no problems (except my purchased apps on my main account). Any ideas on how to fix this? I have tried numerous ROMs and Android versions but I don't know what else to try.
I also have a Nexus 7 at home and it is having the same issue (927) on my main account as well.
EDIT: fixed it. Download Manager was being buggy. Force stop/clear cache/clear data in the app did the trick on both devices.

Recently flashed CM14.1/Lineage14.1 and installed apps from play store. Upon reboot, I'm getting the following "Access request" from Chrome (Canary)... See pic
Does anyone no why its asking for access to my Google account? In previous versions of Android, I would normally use the browser without signing into Chrome. However, this "Access request" doesn't seem to affect that as Chrome still asks, "Would you like to sign into Chrome?" when I open the app.

Well, it's not like I want to use instant apps but this is frustrating me either way. When I open play store and go to settings and try to open "manage instat apps" play store just crashes and starts again with message, I'm on stock marshmallow, play services for instant apps version is 1.19

No users apps running in the background. Ram is free. Storage memories are abundant.
But I am getting Unfortunately xxxxx has stopped for specific apps only.
Phone Dialer. When I try to pull out number pad for dialing, it crashes. . I have to save the number through 'Contacts' first, then dial. The 'Contacts' app itself works. I can browse through saved contacts and dial them. But when I try to bring the Dialler it gives me the error message. 'Unfortunately the contact has stoped'.

Certain banking apps.
These crash when I try to run them. I have tried force stop, clear cache, clear Data, uninstall, reinstall. Nothing works.
They did not stop working all at once.
First the Phone Dialer started doing this. Other apps were working. Then after 3 months sms 'Messages' system app started crashing. Then slowly after 2 month one by one the others above mentioned apps started crashing.
Games, Audio, music, playstore, youtube, file browser, albums, camera, all these things are still working without errors.
I believe there is a specific reason for this, that you experts might know a solution to.
Please let me know.

Now the Gmail app, and create account window that appears when i want to add a google account also crashes. I mean vanishes within fraction of second.
