I agree, my speculation is the update will probably roll out by the end of September or by the early weeks of August. I recently got the update for june patch that is released this early week of july which is dependent on the country. I don't really expect much update for this one because it falls on the budget lineup.

Can you check again if they changed the notice in your country? I checked samsung members again today and they have changed the notice. There is no mention of J7 2017 in the list. (I'm from India)

I didn't received this notice maybe because it is country dependent. I don't know why did they put juli on a5 2017 wherein it was already release in May which I could saw on the timeline release for the country I live in. Only hope this doesn't apply to all market across the globe which is the case based on the screenshots from different region

I'm not sure what's even happening a Samsung. They released a notice, then changed it, then pulled the notice. Now I got another notice stating the update will be released in 2019 Jan. Also, they've mentioned J7 2016 in the schedule, which wasn't listed to get oreo initially.
Edit: I guess I shouldn't take the notices seriously. Tab S3 9.7 is listed under 'Update Completed' section as having completed the update in September '18.

Android 4.4 KitKat now rolling out

LG has officially started rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat for G2 which was launched almost at the end of 2013 year with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean in it. So, what are you waiting for ? Keep checking for update and do let us know what's new in it
Official announcement
As LG didn't specified from which region the update will start rolling out but I think it's Global and everyone should receive their update in few moments. As usual, to update your device, navigate to Settings>About Phone>Software Updates>Check for Updates. However, LG didn't listed a changelog for the update about what is new in the device but for sure there will be something new in it and who knows if there will be "Knock Code feature" in it.

J3 Support and Possibly Getting Marshmallow

Samsung has had the J3 for One year only!!!
Now this device only has Lollipop and according to Samsung, Devices which are younger than 2 years are supported!
The only thing we get are Security Patches which literally do nothing to your device apart from wasting space!
Hopefully this year it receives Marshmallow!
What do you think?

Hey,
Are there any patterns of OTA updates? For example I can see that the update for J7 (2016) started from Russia. Is this the same for all new updates recently?
Thanks.

The J7 2016 Nougat update started from India, not Russia. There is no pattern of what country or telecom are getting it first.

The first update to Android 7 was through OTA. The Russia OTA update started from August 28 or 29, and the SamMobile India firmware is there from September 1st.

Saw that the J510FN is now updating to J510FNxxS2AQI4. This will be the last Android 6 then.
Since the J510F is already a month on QG4 I think Nougat will come to the J510F first.

Yeah huawei is always lazy when it comes to updates...
Guys I'm just curious. Is it Huawei or the telecom companies are not pushing the updates. Because I think that before telecom companies approve the update they need to test it first and make sure that it follows the company's rules.

In the USA there are NO telcom companies as the device is sold unlocked. Yet the USA version has one of the oldest firmwares and gets updates last/slowest. I'm on freaking .112 with April security patch.

Here it is

(Confirmed) Android 11? Is it real?

I'm sure we've all seen the post about the soak test version of android 11 for our device.
Here is the question- has ANYONE else seen this anywhere but here on XDA? As far as I can tell this is a unverified rumor that begins and ends here on XDA.
Please prove me wrong.

No, en.US just means US English is the default if I remember correctly.
Unless the bootloader is Unlocked, the bootloader says "flashing_unlocked", you need to use the software channel for your device.
