Is there a way or an app to get notification badges on the status bar? Also I cant get any Always on display apps to work. I am currently using a third party Launcher (Nova)

Is there any way to universally disable the status bar?
With several launchers you can disable it on the home screen, but I want it off for EVERY application.
Currently, I am using Viper 1.3.0 and the option to disable transparency on the status bar is now gone. The opaque option only changes the status bar to a single color. The status bar is normal when in apps but transparent on the home screen. Is there a way to disable the status bar's transparency (decompiling, etc)?

find a way to hide status bar completely either through your rom (i know aokp has that option) or find another app that does it. Then, get smart statusbar in the play store. free version does everything that you need but pro has some extra features such as the status bar reappearing when you get a notification.
