Been using the Mi A2 (4gb/64gb) for 2 days now. 70% will give you about 4 hours+ screen on time. So i'm expecting to last comfortably till 5 hours. Battery drain is good, slept for 10 hours and lost 6%, screen did not turn on anytime during that period.
here are some images: https://imgur.com/a/rbOkMLT

Here my battery usage.
I'm impressed!!!

Here's mine .. battery is enough for my usual usage.

For the above screenshots, I fully charge it in the evening a day before. I bought the device 3 days ago. Can only measure the battery life after finished setting up to my likings. I think the battery will be better after few full cycles. Today is my 2nd full cycle to test after fully charge it last night.
Add:
4+ hrs SOT on 50% battery usage

I fully charged the device last night. I'm on 35% right now with 2:30 Screen on Time.
I have no idea how you guys manage 5h+

Without knowing what apps you are using the SOT value alone is not saying much

how do you guys get those insane screen on times? I get maybe a max of 3.5
I have gps always on, and mobile data but it alternates with my home wifi.
I really do not get it. Before i have a redmi note 3 and a redmi 5 plus and i never broke the 4.5 h mark. It's only because of the GPS and data?
Edit: I'm going to post a screenshot at the end of the day with my SOT

How is your cellular reception? Do you usually have good signal? Bad signal can cause a lot of battery drain

well, this has always been a problem, I even changed carriers this year.
it sucks that in oreo you can't see the reception signal chart anymore

Screen on time

The longest I've gotten was just under 6 and a half hours with 9% battery left when I plugged in
Sent from my KIW-L24 using XDA-Developers mobile app
8 hr screen on time with moderate use
Great battery life
If I use my honor 5x moderately, I get around 5.5-6 hrs SOT. under heavier use it's usually 3-4 hours.
also battery would last a full 24-hr day with normal use and recharging would take ~3hrs.
Wow, this 5x is a beast on SOT.
5.5hours of sot 4me on average usage
Giving me 1 day usage
just pulled 5hrs sot
dual sim mode,
4g active
hostsopt and vpn was active around 1hr
rest all goes to insragram and xda app and some gaming
That's fantastic
The battery has been extremely amazing, I got this phone and got rid of my Nexus 5x. It was an upgrade in this category.

I do understand
Best one so far, 7.5 hours. Location, 4G, lots of browsing. Running B350. I don't know if that amount of awake time is normal - like my phone isn't sleeping unless I turn wifi off...
Now With 4G ON 24 x 7, I'm getting a day exactly on normal usage.
With my stock 2A charger, it gets charged by 2hrs.
moving post to correct thread.
Quite good
With a lot of ROMs ( RR, crdoid,...) getting 4h30/5h SOT with still 30% left.
Of course i use forcedoze and frooze some system apps like devtools, inputdevices, timeservice and keychain.

Standby drain

When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the honor 5X's battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Gives me 2 days
I figure this will shake some things up. The attached screenshot speaks for itself, 100% legitimate. The SOT on this one wasn't much, it was 3 hours I believe, but I could be wrong. I'm an abnormal user, I turn my wifi/cell/gps off when not in use. I generally don't use my cell phone a whole lot.
There was one time were the phone had been on for two days and the SOT was 9 hours I believe. But again I could be slightly wrong, it was awhile ago.
Seems like a good battery life
With beanstalk ROM, i got 0% drain for 10-12 hours in flight mode.
Stand by is very good.

With the use of Amplify, I get 0% drain overnight.
even with stock, i can have drain of only a few digits.. max of 3 to 4
Near zero standby drain at night
Last night I got 0 drain overnight.
Since all my reviews are based on experience from EMUI, I noticed about 4-6% battery drain over night even when using Greenify to disable to most 3rd party apps. I don't know if I should complain about it because that phone is using dual SIMs. Rating for it is 6/10.

Almost the same story here. I had to use my phone with so much precaution so that battery doesn't drains quickly. I hated every bit of EMUI.
TBH, I am not a 'fan' of every phone company. For that reason, I may open mine in about 6-7 years with my friends. They always add one thing and exclude 2 things from the phone.

Why is everyone getting such a high SOT? I'm only able to hit the 3.5hrs SOT mark, sometimes just barely 3hrs SOT. Are you all on XT1650-03?

Too each is their own. Coming from the Galaxy S7 to the V20 now the G6, the G6 hands down has the better battery life
Took some photos, browsed web, played a game for around 30mins, if not more, at 50% brightness, otherwise i have it on auto brightness. I usually get around 5 or 6 hrs of SOT so i think the battery life is pretty damn great.
Sot is the worst measurement for battery. I wish people would stop thinking it's the end all be all.. A lot of people use their phones listening to music or having navigation going with the screen off. A lot of things can be used with the screen off that will drain your battery. If the damn phone lasts as long as you need it to while doing the things you do, thats all that matters.

That's fair enough a statement but most people who measure SOT still use background stuff.
On my S8+ I get 8 hours SOT over 2 days, using Deezer, Netflix, Calls, whatsapp, facebook, camera. The G6 gets me up to 7 SOT. So it's still a valid measurement.

Yes it's the 3a. I think i could get more SOT without gaming.
From full charge to zero, I could get about 10hrs of screentime consecutively browsing, but that's not how I use my phone. In 48hrs of 'normal usage' I get about 5hrs of screentime.
I do about 3-6 hours of BT audio streaming daily which is why there is a larger than normal screen off usage. Still nice average SOT. I have so many sessions because I try to keep my battery between 50 and 80% for longevity.
I get 8 good hours.
What does Android 10 Battery say? Screen usage since full charge? Also Full charge lasts about???
Mine says 1 day 11 hours of typical usage. I always charge at night so it has rarely if ever run out.

the app usage of 66% is a clue. maybe you got some crazy app eating up battery. if you have bluetooth and/or wifi scanning on continuously that can drain a bit. gsam can be setup to show which app is using most by doing the adb command. just select apps for the details if you have not already.

Here we are after factory reset and flashing the latest OTA from
https://developers.google.com/android/images
Still can't hit 4 hrs SOT. Not once. I really don't know what to do at this point. Incredibly frustrating with everyone else on this thread having MUCH better results.
GSAM is showing some pretty beefy wakelocks on that "RemoteSoundTriggerDetection" and "*alarm*", ActivityManager-Sleep, etc.
I bought it from Best Buy. Should I go up there and see if they'll replace (highly doubt it) ? Maybe flash a custom kernel?
screen on time is a function of what a person normally does with a phone. one way to get high screen on time is you could set display intensity to 25% and timeout to 30 min. if you need that number to be higher. just let the screen be on as much as possible. when you first got it did you fully charge it then fully discharge it then fully charge again? screen on time is about the last metric i ever think about. i don't understand at all why it's so important. i'd be willing to bet some users set intensity to 20% and time out to 30 min or always on and do very little else then they get s.o.t. of 8-9 hrs or higher and think it's great when it's a joke. that's the way i look at it anyway.

Not sure if you're replying to me but I'll answer anyway. Yes I fully charged it then fully discharged it then fully charged again when I first got it.
It's not the SOT that is so worrisome but the constant Android system and kernel drain on my device.
I'm getting worse battery life on my 6 week old 3a than my 2.5 yo OnePlus 5 which wasn't good to begin with. This device was lauded for having excellent battery life and I'm not seeing it.

It isn't that at all. I found using it for anything where the phone needs to utilize the GPU a lot, like gaming, drains battery substantially. "Light" workloads, like web browsing, using social media apps, streaming video, etc give you really good battery life. Once I start up a game, I see about 5-6 hrs compared to 9.5 hrs if I just stream YouTube, check the XDA app, email, Reddit, etc.
