Installation:
0. Make sure you have TWRP v3.1.1 installed or installation will fail at compatibility check!!
1. Download the ROM zip and push it to internal or external storage
2. Enter TWRP Recovery
3. Backup your current ROM in case something goes wrong
4. Do a Full Wipe (system, dalvik-cache, data, cache)
5. Install the ROM
6. Reboot to System
Note : First boot take 10-15 minutes, so don't interrupt it!

Q: How to root it?
A: Grab Magisk from here.
Q: Splash screen gets more and more greenish when I try to boot. Is that normal?
A: Of course not. This means you're not on Marshmallow/Nougat bootloader & Modem. Flash any MM/NN stock ROM first before you flash this ROM.
Q: ROM booted but there is no gallery, clock etc. Why did you removed it?
A: I didn't, YOU debloated them in aroma installer. Reflash the ROM again without wiping data and this time don't debloat them.
Q: There is no CSC folder in /system. How to add CSC features?
A: This ROM is featured with OMC, a new multi CSC solution. Locate to /system/omc and add your features to customcsc.xml.
Q: My GPS does not find my location. Any fix?
A: Download GPS Test app from Google play, run it, go outside and wait 10 minutes.
Q: Do I have to clean flash when there is a new update?
A: No, flash it over a previous version is ok.
Q: XYZ app does not work/force closes and I want create a log to help you. How can I create a logcat?

There won't be any modification options in aroma to keep ROM Lite.
If you want to change model no. to SM-J510FN, edit the following lines in build.prop from:

I won't add more features or I have to remove that "Lite" from the title. If you want more features, try SEP 8.5 (A8) ROM.
Great rom nice to have something different i.e from J2 2018.Performance super smooth and fast.Sound is great and plenty of features for a lite rom.Just perfect all round.Thanks for another great rom.

It's not possible to port Android (8.1.0) Go from J2 Core to J5 2016 as both devices have different SoC chip and Android versions

My procedures were: Flashed the original Samsung firmware through Odin, then flashed TWRP through Odin as well, on TWRP i did a full wipe (Dalvik, data, internal storage, cache, system and external_SD), then i moved the installation files to my SD Card and went to install it. Aroma reports "Compatibility check failed".

Did you let the original samsung firmware boot up first then in developer options enable OEM unlock then flash twrp preferably with 3.1.1.0 and no need whatsoever to delete ext sd card.Especially if you deleted it prior to flashing the rom.How is TWRP going to work if you deleted internal and external storage?The rom is on external storage.Don"t delete ext storage and you don't even need to delete internal all you need is 4 wipes dalvike data system and cache I got it installed on FN with that no problem.And have a look at that last line on your script december and 1969.You don't have the twrp set up properly because your rom is not set up properly i.e.the custom firmware you flashed through odin.I would advise to let the stock firmware boot up first and then you take twrp backup of stock rom in case you need to recover it.Then flash this rom with the right time and region settings which you can set in twrp first before flashing this rom

Stuck in bootloop and sometimes the phone turns itself off when booting. I got that dark-green say updating apps but then the phone turned off.
I have a J5 2016 510FN with twrp 3.1.1

Installing this Rom will void warranty. Installing TWRP will trip knox to 0x1! Secure folder and Samsung Pay will be unusable
Hey folks! I bet you know me from the S7/S7 Edge forums
I did/I'm still doing some work there with the SuperStock-Rom (which is quite similar to this rom here on the S8+ actually), or the probably most known Rom on the S7 edge: SuperMan-Rom. So, what's the aim of this rom? Trying to be as close to stock as possible with some nice modifications as: Always up to date, knox fake, auto updated bootloader/modem. You can check full feature list below!
And why the name "BatStock-Rom"? I will do a custom rom (which has similar features to my SuperMan-Rom) with the name "BatMan-Rom" that's why.

HOW-TO Install the rom:
0. Make sure you have ticked OEM Unlock in Developer settings and have a backup of your user apps!
1. Download latest bootloader and modem from here:
Bootloader/Modem (It's a must to be on AQGB or higher bootloader for V1.3.0 and higher!)
2. Download latest odin
3. Flash BL (bootloader) in BL tab and CP (modem) in CP tab of odin. Then follow the steps on this side until you get a working custom recovery: TWRP for S8/S8+ (to enter download mode, press power+bixby button+volume down) It's a must to be on TWRP 3.1.1-2 or higher since V1.3.0 release!
4. If you are done with bootloader, modem and recovery we can move on, boot into twrp holding power, bixby button and volume up while phone is powered off
5. This will delete all your personal data! In TWRP recovery: Click on wipe, format data and type "yes"
6. Wait until it is finished then click reboot, reboot to recovery
7. Now connect your phone to PC and copy the rom file inside your internal or external sd card
8. Flash the rom and wait until it is finished
9. Reboot your phone and wait till it finished booting
10. After you setup your phone, check if magisk/busybox got installed. If not install them from playstore

It's for both, you are in a cross device development thread so that's the definition, to support both. About the BatMan, BatStock rom:

You just need to upgrade to my most recent BatStock Kernel and the reboots are fixed !

Q: How to root it?
A: Grab Magisk from here.
Q: Splash screen gets more and more greenish when I try to boot. Is that normal?
A: Of course not. This means you're not on Marshmallow/Nougat bootloader & Modem. Flash any MM/NN stock ROM first before you flash this ROM.
Q: ROM booted but there is no gallery, clock etc. Why did you removed it?
A: I didn't, YOU debloated them in aroma installer. Reflash the ROM again without wiping data and this time don't debloat them.
Q: There is no CSC folder in /system. How to add CSC features?
A: This ROM is featured with OMC, a new multi CSC solution. Locate to /system/omc and add your features to customcsc.xml.
Q: My GPS does not find my location. Any fix?
A: Download GPS Test app from Google play, run it, go outside and wait 10 minutes.
Q: Do I have to clean flash when there is a new update?
A: No, flash it over a previous version is ok.
Q: I enabled screen recorder in aroma but I can't find it in settings. How to run screen recorder?
A: You can find it's settings in settings > advanced features > screen recorder. To start recording, pull down quick settings, search for Screen Capture tile, extend it and select screen recorder.
Q: XYZ app does not work/force closes and I want create a log to help you. How can I create a logcat?
A: I'm glad you'd like to help. Follow this xda tutorial or download any logcat app from Google Play.
Q: Why still no Oreo or Pie port?
A: Samsung won't update any MSM8916 device to Oreo/Pie anymore.
Q: Why I can't enable 4G in second SIM?
A: Galaxy MSM8916 modems don't support dual LTE.
Q: I've enabled navigation bar but I don't like it. How can I remove it?
A: Reflash the ROM select everything you did before except nav bar without wiping data.
Q: Do I have to flash Galaxy A8 2018 mods, recoveries etc. when I use this ROM?
A: NO! This ROM will not transform your Galaxy to an A8. Only flash mods, recoveries etc. meant for your device variant.

F.A.Q
Q: How to root it?
A: Grab Magisk from here.
Q: Splash screen gets more and more greenish when I try to boot. Is that normal?
A: Of course not. This means you're not on Marshmallow bootloader & Modem. Flash any MM stock ROM first before you flash this ROM.
Q: ROM booted but there is no gallery, clock etc. Why did you removed it?
A: I didn't, YOU debloated them in aroma installer. Reflash the ROM again without wiping data and this time don't debloat them.
Q: There is no CSC folder in /system. How to add CSC features?
A: This ROM is featured with OMC, a new multi CSC solution. Locate to /system/omc and add your features to customcsc.xml.
Q: My GPS does not find my location. Any fix?
A: Download GPS Test app from Google play, run it, go outside and wait 10 minutes.
Q: Do I have to clean flash when there is a new update?
A: No, flash it over a previous version is ok.
Q: I enabled screen recorder in aroma but I can't find it in settings. How to run screen recorder?
A: You can find it's settings in settings > advanced features > screen recorder. To start recording, pull down quick settings, search for Screen Capture tile, extend it and select screen recorder.
Q: XYZ app does not work/force closes and I want create a log to help you. How can I create a logcat?
A: I'm glad you'd like to help. Follow this xda tutorial or download any logcat app from Google Play.
Q: Why still no Oreo or Pie port?
A: Samsung won't update any MSM8916 device to Oreo/Pie anymore.
Q: Why I can't enable 4G in second SIM?
A: Galaxy MSM8916 modems don't support dual LTE.
Q: I've enabled navigation bar but I don't like it. How can I remove it?
A: Reflash the ROM select everything you did before except nav bar without wiping data.
Q: Do I have to flash Galaxy A8 2018 mods, recoveries etc. when I use this ROM?
A: NO! This ROM will not transform your Galaxy to an A8. Only flash mods, recoveries etc. meant for your device variant.

No no. In status bar. Near clock and battery. Its in odyssy serenity and wycked but in custom ui.

Model j500m not supported. I use twr 3.2.1, including installing other roms
mmm random reboots on my j500f, but after flash osqer kernel its fine. So the problem is updesh kernel

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
1) Make sure you got TWRP installed
2) Make sure OEM unlock is enabled in settings/dev. options if your coming from official stock
3) Copy rom.zip to internal/external SD (external recommended)
4) Boot into TWRP and wipe the following: cache, dalvik cache, data and system (also ''format data'' if coming from official stock)

Hi i flash Eclipsestick rom v1.1 after rom i flash pie firmware, my phone immediately reboot and stuck in custom binary lock, this time i flash only rom and boot with oreo firmware, everything goes smoothly ?

Latest Modem for Pie. As of this current momemt, Pie bootloader is not required.
MAKE SURE YOU FLASH THE CORRECT VARIANT !! Don't worry about the CSC as this can be changed then you install TGP.

INSTALL STEPS
Copy the ROM over to your device
Restart your phone into TWRP Recovery, and make a backup beforehand if desired.
Do a FULL Wipe (Optional, but recommended and especially recommended if you are having issues)
Install the ROM, and restart your phone.
After the setup wizard is complete, it's always a good idea to give your phone a restart afterwards as well.
Enjoy your new ROM.
VENDOR FIX ADDONS
This is required if you use any Samsung Gear Accessories.
Download the Vendor Fix zip which can be found in the same location as the ROM download.
Copy the zip to your device.
Restart your phone into TWRP Recovery, install the zip.

hi, do you think that spay on galaxy wearable is supposed to work? i know that in the past i was successful at adding a card on the watch. i do understand the difference between spay on the phone and the watch. On Dr. ketans rom i was able to do so. i would hide a few apps and would be good.
with the supplied magisk 18.1, the manager isint recent enough to detect the newer spay and wear plugins.
upgrading to newer magisk canary builds is possible but it seems it detects system and modded and safety net dosen't pass. not sure if its a kernel thing. and also spay gear also still dosen't pass and detects device as having unauthorized changes being made.
ill try to flash stock kernel and see if that helps.
anyways, apart from that, rom is really nice!
also, not sure how but this is the only rom that i can get carrier aggregation to work! not sure why but it is nice to have for sure! if you have any insights as to why, I'd be interested to hear about it.( i know it has nothing to do with odm/csc, I've narrowed down to efs partition. and more precisely nv_data.bin and .md5. not sure if its the version of ims or something else in the system but if i copy nvdata files or the whole efs part. over to an other rom, carrier aggregation starts to work!)

How can I tell if I need your modem and how would that go in the installation steps?

Possible to check the corner of Edge lighting for n9? Think there are wrong stats maybe from s9. Next question is possible to add volte icon for quick panel?
I noticed that the Hard press home button settings seem to be missing from the navigation settings menu, would it be possible to get that back?

Check your modem version whether its same with the dev modem provided
