Unable to get 21 july latest OTA update on Realme1 - 3gb Ram Variant...why ? - Oppo Realme 1 Questions & Answers

I am unable to get 21st July OTA update on my Oppo Realeme 1 - 3gb ram variant...as per some youtuber showing in there videos that they got ota update on 21 july...then why my system not showing any new update & even my realme1 has April month security patch but the new update has May month security patch...can any buddy help?
Or is it maybe because i turn off most of unnecessary permission...like Shell,Oppo Athena,User Experience Program .etc...so because of that i am not getting new update....or i doesn't matter with software updates & the issue is about something else?

Try to clear chache memory through recovery then try to check update manually

Miui completely ignores Data settings

so i just went back to Miui and i get no data connection. i have service so i know my baseband and all are fine. i made sure all my APN settings are correct but i get no data at all and everytime i reboot it turns my data off.
i've tried reflashing and same issue. any ideas?
Redownload it try a fresh flash...i have zero issues with miui.
When you reboot do you pull down your notification bar and turn data back on?? That is a known issue
no i turn it back on in the settings menu
---------- Post added at 10:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:58 PM ----------
o and now it forever joins a wifi network and never connects. even after downloading the other MIUI rom i still get this issue
I must ask... did you follow all instructions? i dont have and have not read of these problems anywhere within a miui thread
I'm currently having the same issue. I've been trying to figure it out for a couple of days now, without success. If you find a solution, please clue me in and I'll do the same.
I hope you all know that, that is a known issue with the latest MIUI rom.
Now, it doesn't seem to matter what rom I flash to, the data still fails to work.

Is my phone bricked? Urgent help needed

So basicly, I ****ed up by installing a 6.0.1 bootloader on my 5.0.2 system and now it won't even load up the recovery menu. The only menu I can get into is the download, from where I can press the down key so it actually shows the boot icon. It isn't running in a boot loop, just standing on the icon and I can't even turn it on from turned off, by holding the power on button. I can't transfer files from my pc to my phone either.
I'm running the SM-G925F
Any help or conclusion (whether it's dead or not) would be appreciated
Yes you are soft Bricked. Youll need to re download your stock firmware for G925F from sammobile and flash with odin.
I had and still kind of have the same problem, I even tried to downgrade it wouldn't work.
What happen to me!
5.0.2 Lollipop to Marshmallow.
I uninstalled root
I wiped the phone
I installed Marshmallow
I ended up getting a "DRK (Device Root Key)" error and wouldn't boot up and also got a "Seandroid is not enforcing" error
I ran CF Auto Root and it booted me into the Marshmallow, and all is good in the world except now my finger print scanner is saying it's dirty and won't work but was working previously with Lollipop.
The major issue is without the CF Auto Root I don't see a way of booting in the phone because of the "DRK" issue which means I will never be able to go back to official rom status until a solution is found.
I would seriously be willing to pay $50 for a fix. I opened my own thread about this too!

Samsung SmartSwitch detects my device and allows me to backup and restore but it doesn't work for resetting.
It says, "Unable to find the serial number, model name, or IMEI on the server"
When I do a manual lookup and when I connect device and try I think it says it can't initialize.
Smart Switch & Kies never worked even when I was on official.
My model is SM-925W8
Can I get the firmware without them?

Any screenshots?
Amazing, I'd prefer a custom ROM but any nougat is better than no nougat.
For those of us wanting to upgrade but also unlock bootloader, the best thing to do would be unlock then flash the Nougat ROM, correct?
Or will there be a Nougat bootloader unlock?
Updated today and already found few downsides:
- Fast charge is no longer triggered after this update (worked before. using stock cable and charged)
- Ram consumption has increased
- Security patch is only Dec 5, 2016, which is weird, cause ZE552KL got Jan 5, 2017 one.
- Can't roll back through recovery because it says that SKU's are different even though they're the same.

Think twice before updating.
I read the news, but I do not find the firmware on the website. Someone found him? Because it is not detected via OTA on my phone.
They haven't uploaded the rom to the website yet. Your phone won't detect OTA from within settings -> system update? Is your bootloader unlocked?
*** ZenFone 3 Special Edition - Android 7.0 Update - WARNING!!!! ***
I have the ZenFone 3 Deluxe Special Edition that's maxed out with 256GB internal storage + 6 GB of RAM, and the 821 Snapdragon processor. I received the Android 7.0 update last night (turned my phone on and it was there waiting to be installed.) Post update, many of my Google-related apps aren't working (1) a completely blank screen or (2) a blank screen with a wait/loading symbol. In both cases, I eventually get the "this app is not responding...wait?" pop-up. Waiting does nothing. I have to kill the apps. I've tried clearing the data/cache for the apps, but that doesn't work.
So far, apps that don't work:
Gmail - Wait screen forever (Overnight)
Google Play - Wait screen (also forever/overnight)
Microsoft Outlook - Loads, but cannot see actual mail - just a blank area where it should be.
Looks like it's related to Google services oriented apps only. All other apps, aside from Speedtest.net, appear to be working correctly.
What I've tested that works:
Amazon - Whole suite of apps (photos, Kindle, store, underground, etc.)
Facebook
Flipboard
GoodReads
I'll post an update if/when I get the issues resolved.

I was able to fix the problem by resetting the cache/managed data in the Google Play Services app.
To do this, go to settings, then Apps. From the drop-down menu, select "Show System". Find the Google Play Services entry. Click on the "Storage" item, clear the cache, then, in "Manage Space", click the "Clear all data" button.
Once I did this, everything started working correctly.

How did you know the update is only for 820?
i'm going to stay away from this update for now, because even though 7.0 is much better, but it seems there is still problems to be looked at, once that has changed , then we can move on, however we need some custom roms on this... at least one or two that can make this much better.

Download the correct FW for your phone variant - 2.15 Ghz or 2.4 Ghz
Copy it to the root of your SD card
Turn off your phone
Enter recovery (hold power + volume down until phone vibrates. if you get no command screen, hold power + volume up and recovery will appear)
Select "Apply an update from SD card"
There, select FW file you downloaded (volume up/down to navigate, power to confirm)
After few minutes, you should be done
Select "reboot system now"

it doesn't say PRO on the CPU type.. it just says 8996... 821 is 8996 PRO
More people have the issue of the fast charging feature not working? I still didn't install it, and the QC is a pretty big deal for me...

Help! App isn't installed after B182 OTA

Guys, I'm strapped for ideas..
Almost every single app gives me the error message saying app isn't installed despite showing up on the home screen and working for the first few mins of booting up. I also get my notifications on social media but can't open the app.
Help!!!
Hello what's your story?
You were on C432B100 and with Huawei Firmware Finder you successfully updated to B182 or B183? Did you use "full-ota" file on FF ? The one with which timestamp
?
And now all system is buggy, maybe because it just partially update because update was unsuccessfully like you previously reported on another thread ?
What's your actual firmware version?
---------- Post added at 00:46 ---------- Previous post was at 00:44 ----------
Or maybe because coming from B100, you may have to step by B120 or B150 before upgrading to B180, B182 or B183.
Disable App Lock function
I've encountered the same problem after the B182 update. I found that the App Lock function with fingerprint was causing that issue (Only for locked apps with fingerprint). So i desactivate it. But after updating to B183, everything is ok even with App Lock function on.

No update since January 2019

I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S9+, and I'm stuck on the January 2019 update. They just released an October update. I've tried the Verizon Upgrade Assistant, but I get the following message: "Your device's current firmware version is not supported to update firmware," and it stops. I've tried Samsung Smart Switch, but it says my software is up-to-date (last three digits are SA7). I was on chat with Verizon for several hours yesterday, and they couldn't figure it out. They said to contact Samsung, which told me that I needed to contact Verizon. Very frustrating, especially after reading about some new malware that affects my phone. Plus, I'm hoping an update will help alleviate my battery drain issue. I have done a complete factory reset and even cleared the cache again, but no luck. I'd greatly appreciate answers from you guys!

have you ever flashed firmware in Odin before? or i guess i should ask if youve ever heard of Odin and what it can do.
also go to your phones settings, about phone, software information and post the screenshot of what that page shows so we can see your entire baseband
