dttw / ok google to wake?
Hi @Jokerank-4PDA
Does this kernel allow me to wake my XA Ultra using double tap or ok google? Or is there another way to get this work? I'd really like to test these features even if it drains my batterie..
Best regards and thank you

Not possible for this device to use double tap i'll try port dt2w and sweep2wake, but it not work Idk about ok google didn't use this, if i'm not misstake this is not a kernel level

well, thank you
I found an app called "DoubleTap to lock" which makes it possible to wake my XA Ultra using double tap but it drains batterie fast in deed.. Like the screen is always on (which in fact is correct, there's no deep sleep with this app active).
But now I found an app called "WaveUp" which makes it possible to wake my device by touching the distance sensor - works fine and seems to not drain the batterie this fast.. I'll keep watching it
best regards

can someone help me flash this on my device ? F3212 build 36.1.A.0.182
i'm kinda new to all this stuff

Quick question. So the kernel runs at a default of 1512mhz right? And you'd have to manually set it to 1.9ghz if you'd want that speed? Was hoping someone could clarify.

Thanks for clarifying mate. I just flashed it and I'm going to leave it running the way you set it up, don't see a reason to stray away from stock settings. Everything is running smoothly, good job on the kernel man.
I also just noticed that all the default settings are highlighted in bold silly of me to not look properly

Testing this out now, love Franco kernel so this should be a nice kernel to use until he gets his hands on a flo
No issue with root loss for me running CM with superSU, battery is at 92% with 1hour 10min screen on so is looking pretty good, and has been a lot smoother than Faux kernel!

Can you please give r8 (download here) a try and report back. You will need to flash ROM first if your still on r7.
Have tested it myself, looks to work OK on cm10 and stock.
Thanks
Trying r8, everything seems fine so far, kept root too However I would suggest people try ondemand instead of interactive, it gives as good performance with fewer random CPU spikes and no insane ramping on touch, it's what the nexus 4 uses by default now and i think it's the best balance
with r8 root is working just fine

{Kernel} JekkosKrnl msm8960 - 23/01/2016

*Initial version: v0.1*
AOSP m7 cm-12.1
Based on AGK v1.71 (containing all the original wake gestures: sweep2wake, logo2menu, double tap to wake)
F2FS support from latest msm8960 repo on cm-12.1
GCC KBUILD_CFLAGS tweaks from SiliconValley kernel (oodles of optimizations)
Using SiliconValley initrd (ramdisk)
- cpu governors: plenty of them: intellidemand, ondemand, interactive, smartass, smartassV2, ...
- mpdecision, intelliplug, ecomode tweaks
- highest frequency at 2,1Ghz, lowest at 0,081Ghz, good for saving more battery
- gives more than 36 hours of battery life on a moderately used phone with steady mobile signal
install using fastboot: sudo fastboot flash boot jekkoskrnl.img
*21/12/2015: v0.1 Update*
Performance tweaks: disabled GPU underclock.
Min frequency is set to 128Mhz (was 64)
Max frequency is set to 487Mhz (was 450)
download link: bit.ly/1IjAEGw
*23/01/2016: v0.2 Update*
Dissable reboot on mdm start timeout (causing occasional kernel panics)
Improve GPU frequency upscaling to reduce lagging
Merge of upstream Cyanogenmod fixes
Disable htc one wire headset patch (causing occasional kernel panic with alternative earset)

Hey @jekk0s Thanks for that.
Just 1 Q
Is your Git source up to date? I just built your kernel and the version I built has a few less CPU governors then the .img you uploaded
Other then that Kernel works great! Compiled with UberTC-4.9
Thanks again.

Think the default governor might not be the best. I'm using intellidemand which makes the phone work smoothly in most situations.
Works great on CM12.1. Is there anyway that I could set the minimum GPU frequency on boot? Maybe using an init.d script?

will the kernel work with android m, please?
Very VEEEERY good work . Love the overclock 2.1 GHZ !!!!!! i can see the difference in games . work on Exodus 5.1.1 2016 but , lagging on music , unloking or keyboard use . higher GPU frequencies can be use ? Like 500mhz ,or like same sense kernel (587 MHz :0 )
Sorry for my english ^^
which software you guys using for tuning kernel.
I tried several, after restart its resetting some times even after exiting the app. I am encountering frequent restarts and higher temperature.
Tried clean, still issue persists. I can't live without double tap to wake and sweep to sleep.
Device being secondary, not interested in much performance , I just need basic features and stability. I tried under volt the cpu , it didn't boot then.
Was on ARHD and elementalx before. Was going good.
Recently jumped to cm.
Any suggestions?
I use Ex kernel manager for change my CPU and gpu frequencies , active fastcharge , ....
I hope that the next update propose more gpu frequencies , the currents , and more higher really more than 450
On exodus rom the phone seems stable , but lag on internet or music use (unpleasant) :/ I've try differents gorvernor but no real change ...

Ok the problem occurs because both andr68rus and I have named our camera shims differently.
Also lineage has their own name for it.
In this kernel I used the Lineageos naming as I thought that was the standard. (at least I'm 90% sure I did )
@andr68rus please can we standardise on the lineageos naming system and both change our sources to suit?
Once he has updates RR I'll upload the updated kernel and all should be good. Of course since I've wiped my phone to try this out I'll test it first with RR this time just to make sure.

Also, regarding signal reception
at my desk the signal is weak
any idea if we could make signal reception better,
as per my experience LOS based roms or Mokee feel like does not have stock like signal reception feature,
feels bit unstable(always trying disconnecting/connecting)...
which causes the main battery drainage(dual sim, both weak signals)

Nice work, thanks I will use LOS naming system next build. I will repack kernel with my ramdisk and put link for < 05/09 RR-N.
PS. Where I can download kernel?
Hope this kernel gets fixed soon, you're doing great work on the Le Max 2, thanks for your contributions!
Also hopefully you and @andr68rus find the naming fix and that this kernel gets integrated into RR, AOKP, DU and the rest of the Nougat roms, I can see it being a great SoT fix for Nougat ROMs.
( for me this kernel is hopeless ((( my problem with camera on nougat roms seems unfixable for now (((

No it wont fix stock camera. I didnt imply that so...
As far as signal reception goes I dont have issues with reception.
I do see some stuff in the logs about disconnecting reconnecting and i'll probably have a look at it one of these days. Not sure IF I can do anything but I'll try.

There's a new kernel working on our P10, it was made for Honor 9, here's the link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/kernel-proto8-kernel-t3780551
I installed it yesterday and the only thing that is not working is the wifi and bluetooth.

Hey man, glad you liked it, but at least you could mention the Developers and at least give me a heads-up like "Hey, can i share the thread on the P10 forums?"
Kind of taken by surprise here
Thanks for the support.

I'm sorry bro., I was going to add the credits later, but it was a mistake not to ask you before, sorry. (I'll edit the thread now)
Your kernel is very fast :good:

Thank you. And it's not just me, @nutcasev1.5 is also Developer of the kernel.
kernel without wifi and bluetooth is kind of useless.

@JBolho Done, I added the credits bro.
I don't know if is possible to fix the wifi and bluetooth for our device, I know that it was made for Honor 9, so if it is not possible, don't worry bro, and thank you so much

It's possible that it's just a matter of drivers, I'll look into it when I have the chance, but no ETA of course.

Yes! :fingers-crossed:
Thank you so much, take your time, I never ask for ETA.
One question: You'll need the stock drivers? Because I was searching and their are placed into Vendor/lib/modules, so what if I backup my stock drivers, flash your kernel and restore my stock drivers... I'll see if it works
Update: It didn't worked

The proper stuff needs to be compiled in the kernel, don't brick your device in anticipation

As confirmed now by @sfoot13 this kernel is now fully compatible with the P10. Separate download link added on thread's OP because both devices require separate compiles.
Remeber this was originally designed for the Honor 9 but from now on it should continue to be 100% compatible with the P10 as all incompatibilities have been apparently solved.
All the thanks to @JBolho :good: he made it possible
Thank you all for giving us a Kernel
I hope you don't mind the question: So it uses another energy management, does that mean there is no 'scrollable widgets freeze' bug?
Yes I could unlock and try myself but it's my daily phone at the moment :-|

If there's such a bug, I've never experienced it, and it's more likely a rom thing, not the kernel fault...
My device is the only one I have and I need it everyday, so... This is not some "alpha ultra experimental thing" that may or may not explode on your pocket, so don't worry
Unlocking the bootloader does force a factory reset though. It's a pain, i know...
I also never had problem with widgets on this kernel and also on stock kernel.
To the actual users: how this is compared with hyperkernel from p10 plus?
Kernel has been updated to v1.2R, new and tuned I/O and updated CPU drivers and Sched Gov.

[PLEASE READ LAST POST] seshstation-v1 [Latest LOS/NOS][CPU/GPU/SCREEN OC]

WIP. Hello everyone. My main priority was to have OC in the latest LOS 16 build, or at least to have that on pie. While I know our hedgehog fan is busy making AICP, I told myself that I should make this happening. This kernel is forked from original LOS16, so it will work with (almost) all versions. Use this version IF you want to have stable official LOS kernel ONLY with overclocked added, or if you can't use Blackscreen. FOR NOW, I recommend using this kernel for pie builds, until BS PIE will get released.

That is a very high score, I agree
I'm also happy for this Pie Kernel!
But I pointed on your release date, its a bit outdated, dont you think?

Hi. It is good if you want OC on stable los kernel and you don't want to install BlackScreen. Nothing special.
thank you!
Anyone have try it with Nitrogen os?
EDIT: it's working with Nitroges OS last build (11-08-2018)
If there is a demand, i can update it regularly.

If you're using LOS than it's posibile to overheat, because los thermal engine isn't working. Not my fault, but at some restarts it's working actually.
Yesterday I tryied this kernel.
Today I come back to the original Nitrogen OS.
Why?
Because yesterday my wifi was broken (it show connected but without internet access). I've try in all my 3 net.
And in 4G it show an X over the signal icon.
After a reboot it fixes the problem.
You know that I love you
I'm waiting for your work to continue. @D1stRU3T0R
Thank you will try it for a few days.

Interesting, maybe n os is too modified and not based on lineageos.
Remember, lineageos =/= nitrogen os
