[MOD][OOS-Pie] WETAmod and modules [15th.Sept] - OnePlus 6 Themes, Apps, and Mods

WETAmod
Any issues need to be accompanied with relative info, I can't fix anything if I have no idea the module, firmware version, conflicting modules.. it'll drive me nuts if you just say something doesn't work and that's all you put
WETAmod is a control app that installs audio and ui mods over a stock system.
WETAmod, for the OnePlus 6, is now, the controller of WETA UI mods, such as 3Minit and NavBar etc. Audio mods are staying separate as independant Magisk Modules. It just makes more sense that way.
For my last 5-6 devices I've built roms based off stock firmware images, though I'm deciding this is kind of a pointless endeavor, for me anyway. Downloading and flashing a gb zip when most files are not modified is a waste of bandwidth. WETAmod is an evolution from my roms to something more compact. Existing files will be replaced and patched only where needed.
Included in the module folder..
3Minit battery - status bar + Home button
3Minit clock
Battery bar - navigation bar
Navigation bar height
Immersive modes
Audio (individual Magisk Modules)
- WETA selected audio modules
- V4a 2.3.4.0 + 2.5.0.5 + 2.6.*
- dual speaker mod
- some experimental things activated
See post #3 for operation notes

WETAmod instruction
1. Download and flash the appropriate installer zip for your firmware version.
2. Flash via TWRP (magisk modules can be flashed via magisk manager also)
3. Open WETAmod and Grant su permissions.
The app itself, is similar to rom control apps but the majority of mods are applied via shell scripts. If the page you are making selections on has an "execute" or "apply" bar on it, you need to press that for the mods to be applied. This may result in a sysui reboot, or in some rare cases a full reboot.
If you have more questions, then come visit the telegram thread. I am not the best at explanations via xda at times, and things are always evolving in my corner.
WETA Audio
Android audio. This can be a touchy subject with regards to driver and module ports from other devices. I'll be transparent here, and say this... drivers from other devices may prove useless. Though the drivers I use here, have been tested to be functional... Which is a good start I'd say, then using ears... have a perceived difference in the positive to stock audio. Use your own ears, be subjective, use or don't use this module.

WETAmod Magisk Modules
This is a simple thread sharing modules I am using personally on DP3. While I decide what direction I am going to take with this device, I needed to be on the latest firmware with my favorite mods.
I am currently still working on the note 8 rom WETA, and am deciding whether a rom is actually something I want to do on this device considering there are already a few great options in this forum.

It's a tag, it's a name, it's an identifier.
You can use them on any dp3 or upcoming Pie OOS based rom.
Though I'd imagine all the OOS roms once updated to pie will have these features. I'm just filling a gap.
I'm a Samsung and LG Dev mainly, that has become bored and annoyed with things surrounding those devices.

None of these will work with Oreo. Is 3minit not available anywhere? I only made these mods as I couldn't find anything for pie. Id be happy to make some Oreo versions as well.

I was sure but I wanted confirmation. I looked around but nothing for Oreo. thank you very much anyway

Is that a negative vibe I sense there?
I've had the op6 for just over a week, was on dp3 and made the modules for it. Because thats what I do. I didn't see any other dp3 modules out there so I thought I'd share... You know.. for the community.
What exactly are you getting at? And if you have "no point" then just move along.

Nope! No negative vibe, I just see all the things you listed available on the Magisk download already so I'm wondering if there is any difference between your bundle and those. If there isn't a difference shouldn't we keep things to one source and move this to a purely discussion forum?

good Rom for marshmallow

Hi everyone.
I am (like a few I assume) still on marshmallow for xposed. So I was curious, are there any active developments in custom MM roms? And if not, which Rom is good even with current issues/abondoned? I was hoping to using fluenceuhd but cannot he the patch or Rom zip and was curious about trying cyanogen. Any ideas or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone could recommend a Rom that could replace the xposed modules I use then I might consider updating to N. The key xposed modules are:
Rootclock
Amplify
Bootmanager
Lucky patcher
G4 toolbox
Gravitybox
Youtube adaway
Youtube background playback
Greenify
Enhanced and burnt toast
No overlay warning
Thanks

Id say Res rom best for nogut. Most customizable. But that situation is up in the air because developer no longer working on it. But there's others trying. I do miss xposed too, wish it was on nogut already. Youtube is so annoying with all the adds.

Cool thanks for the advice, ill check it out
I was in the same problem some time ago, but i finally went to nougat.
Fulmics rom works great, lucky patcher works in the same way that it does with Xposed.
I've replaced YouTube background play with yMusic(try OGYoutube, its also very good)
So, almost all the Xposed modules that you're using are can be replaced: almost but GravityBox.
Anyway, the rom have some mods that can do some of the things that GravityBox does...
To finish, i think you should move to nougat.
Hi Skrb, thanks for the reply, that is exactly the sort of review I needed.
I am not desperate to move to Nougat, just getting bored of not having much to do with MM; but I shall certainly consider the upgrade.
The only thing I am uncertain about is the possibility of downgrading from N to MM> I understand that to do so you need to also downgrade recovery/boot? Anyway, I'll look into it - just so I have a safe way of returning to my TWRP MM Nandroid
I dont know, but i think that for downgrade you will have to flash the boot.img from a PC... But i cannot guarantee that
You only have to flash mm boot.zip and mm modem.zip via twrp from autoprime
Then you can restore TwrpBackup
And also flash N boot.zip and N modem.zip before flashing Fulmics Rom
http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G5/H850
I've just switched back to MM from nougat purely for xposed! Also seem to be getting better battery life too even though it was great on nougat, seems to be even better on MM. Although it might be just me imagining it.

You can find some screenshots in "Screenshots" menu, as always at the top of a devdb thread.
Everyone has his hown preference about audio mods and in addition I'm not using any of them so I don't think I'll include one of those
The same is valid for substratum ( not everyone is using it, and I'm not ) and camera.
The camera quality is a little bit better than stock firmware thanks to defcomg and his modified libs.

Honestly I don't know, but since it's from retin firmware and I'm using it on a xt1685 device I would give it a try.
Make a nandroid backup before doing anything, in particular oem partition ( the installer touches /system /boot and /oem partitions, nothing more )

I already did a nandroid and have it up and running ?. Few questions, how do I disable the battery percentage mod and center clock mod? I already disabled 3MinitClock.
These are just features I don't use and disable the icons with ui tuner. Also, the LED support is for notifications when the screen is off only? Is there anyway to enable it while the screen is on?
I checked your thread for the mods to see if there was a way to remove them as well. Are they built into the system ui?
Thanks for this!
Does Moto Display work with this rom? I've been waiting very patiently for a debloated stock rom!

For the battery percentage mod I have to make at least a VRTheme, will do it tomorrow.
About the clock you can put a "space" in 3MinitClock app and it should be fine
Edit: I just noticed there's an option to hide clock inside 3MinitClock app, it's just a matter of fixing the bug described here below.

Hello and thanks for the stock rom! Looks like this is going to become my daily!
Only problem I've noticed so far is the 3minit clock mod.. After changing it to right align, it is fine until you pull down the status bar and snap it back, then you have two clocks! One in the middle, one on the right

You're definitely right [emoji15]
There are some problems with the clock positioned at the center, this evening I'll look at the code ( I'm using the centered clock, I just checked it was moving correctly and nothing more ).
In addition I have to admit there are some issues with magisk, I'm not even passing basic integrity.
It seems like magisk is mounted in ro mode, uninstalling a reinstalling did not fix the problem so I think we must wait a patched/custom kernel.
Thanks a lot for this rom its my daily driver, however I wanted to know whether its possible to remove the battery percentage besides the battery icon ? http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/59354a69e4f20/_20170605_174058.JPG

I gave this a try since I really like debloated stock ROMs. Couldn't get the status bar clock to stay how I'd set it, then tried hiding it but it would reappear anyway, and same after disabling it as though some part of it was burned-in to the set up. Also the fonts couldn't match the bolder font style of the status bar and it looked too dim/faint.
Magisk, as you're saying too now, was the real game-stopper because even though it said I'm rooted I was still getting ads despite using AdAway. Tried another fresh install (wiped, reinstalled ROM) this time not updating Magisk Manager (uninstalled it) then trying SU 2.82 which seemed to work much better rooting-wise, but then had the camera & wifi issues because the .67 kernel isn't modified yet.
So I had to go back to my .33 backup but hope you'll keep at this when we get a patched kernel for the upgraded versions. I love the boot animation which really fits the ROM name and perfectly matches the black Moto boot logo I'm using. Could you possibly please extract that so we can use it on our old set ups, or if available separately provide a link? Again, many thanks for your efforts on this.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if it needed other file(s) than just the bootanimation.zip, but it worked fine. I guess this new one is called 'PiTwistedGeometry'.
@eskamhl I've switched over to .35 temporarily. For Magisk, it isn't working properly for several features. This ROM is really sweet. I also noticed the clock issue, but since I'm removing it, the "space" feature did work. I also had double battery % on lockscreen.

[Mod][Xposed] Extended Power Menu

Sup guys! I was finally able to find time to convert my previous patch for EPM to an Xposed module! This was not as simple as I expected, as it required dynamic XML generation/integration, which can be cumbersome to say the least. I tried to keep the code as generic as possible to support other models of the A2017, but there are no guarantees beyond the US model. I did add a configurable option to add a bootloader button, but as of this posting (B32), ZTE has disabled this functionality.
FAQ:
1. Can you add support for my model?
- Possibly, but at the minimum you would need to post your framework-zte-res.apk. Specifically, the files layout/global_dialog.xml and layout-land/global_dialog.xml are needed.
2. Does this support MiFavor 5.x?
- I cannot say, it's only been tested on A2017U B32, which uses MiFavor 4.x.
Thanks to wanam for the simple settings popup and apsun for the RemotePreferences library.
Xposed page: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.none.epm_zte
very cool that you did a "port", have my thanks - even when I'm not running stock most of the time

Yes but the Xposed Installer app has a toggle switch to temporarily disable Xposed. So whenever you need to use an app such as Android Pay just disable Xposed and and then re-enable it when you're done.

Not worth it if i have to reboot my phone when I want to play games that require safetynet and use banking every time oh well, can't have all the pleasures in the world, but it would be nice to have this as a magisk module.
The thing is, I don't believe it's possible since you need to replace a small part of a file, not the whole file. I don't know how the Xposed module works (or Xposed itself) but I believe it somehow replaces that small part. If there was a Magisk module you wouldn't be able to further modify the framework and it would only work for one mifavor version.
I think this was already discussed but about a flashable zip version
Edit: Yeah, the dev talks about dynamic XML generation/integration

This is correct. I went with Xposed for better compatibility across multiple h/w & s/w versions. ROM authors can likely cook it into their framework using the tutorial from the other thread :good:
Ah bummer. I was hoping to use this module but I'm running v87 Xposed (PurifyOS). EPM requires v88.x. I'm only on unofficial Xposed because Unicon works with it.
If I decide I don't need Unicon I'll definitely update and use EPM.
At the moment I'm using one of the many reboot menu utilities to popup on double press of the back button (using Button Mapper).

I can confirm that this works on stock A2017G B09 with flashable Xposed. may also work with topjohnwu's Xposed but I couldn't manage to make the modded xposed installer find the xposed installation
The ROM is stock B09, from raystef66's flashable zips
Here's a screenshot where you can barely see the model below
So basically you can add that it's compatible with G-B09 somewhere

Works on MF5.0 too (either SuperSu or Magisk). Only if you use the flashable xposed framework v88.2 SDK25 + xposed installer + your apk.
Thnx ! (does not work through Magisk module installing the framework. Installer error framework not installed)
works on B35
Works on B09 Nougat on A2017G, although it does not play nice when messing with screen dpi. I am currently on 500 and icons are misaligned.

I don't believe it would work on an N because the firmware I used is specifically for an F/DS device. Has it even been released on the N yet?
The vendor needed for Android Pie *is* included, as is modem, kernel, etc.

Usually Fs and Ns are identical hardwarewise except system partition size is a tad smaller I believe.
I'll give it a shot and report back.

Yes I have objection.
You can not use my modified images. You want to make your own then there is one thread in geneneral section. Get pie beta on your device and then dump it yourself.
Its my request to remove my work and meanwhile you make your own, remove the link.

Description
I really love this new Android 9.0 beta from Samsung with the One UI. I also really love DevBase!
With that in mind - I've created PieBase which is simply a combination of:
- Latest DevBase release (from here - thanks _alexndr)
- Latest Magisk release (from here - thanks topjohnwu)
- Latest Samsung Pie firmware (from here - thanks drketan)
If anyone takes offence to this ROM for any reason - please let me know and I'll take it down immediately. As soon as official DevBase is released - I'll remove this post and direct any visitors to his thread. I'm not even remotely interested in stealing people away from DevBase - it's an awesome ROM - just looking to fill the void for now.
SafetyNet Pass
In order to get SafetyNet to pass with Magisk you will need to:
Download Busybox magisk module
Download MagiskHide Props Config magisk module
Reboot your device
Download and open a terminal app of your choice
Switch to root by entering the "su" command
Enter "props" then enter: 1, f, 13, 24, y, y
Once your device has done rebooting - you should now be passing SafetyNet. The reason this is needed is simply because beta versions of Samsung ROMs never pass SafetyNet so we're claiming to be an 8.0 running device to Google so they'll pass us as running a known Samsung ROM.
Warnings
App names and dependencies have changed around a lot in this release so your old configs likely wont work!
You are welcome to try to attempt to dirty flash this ROM but it's VERY likely you will need to clean flash (sorry!)
If you have a /sdcard/devbase directory - rename this before flashing.
If you have a /sdcard/options.prop file - rename this before flashing.
This ROM is for F/DS ONLY!!!

Dual status bar for all custom roms

This thread has been discontinued. The developer of the mod i.e. @Jaiii himself has registered on xda and has started his own thread on the DSB that he'll be maintaining. Here is the link below. (The project is not abandoned, it has just moved.)

Why hide the notch when we can use the entire screen real estate!. :victory:
DSB i.e. Dual Status Bar mod is available for all custom roms.
Both sides of the notch are well used.
Its constantly updating as we speak. @Jaiii is the owner of the work, so all the credit goes to him.
We hv also created a magisk modules (available only on telegram channel).
So far we have created twrp flashable files for below custom roms:
Evo x
PE Plus
CrDroid
PA - Paranoid Android (not by us but the credit goes to the respective owner)
Nusantara (only left side DSB)
Lineage OS official
In case you want to return to stock status bar just flash Disabler (see attachment) or you can also dirty flash your rom.
:highfive:

Let's hope our devs wont get offended with any blunt remarks or comments and stop development of the mod. Thats why we dont let our devs directly communicate with end users.

There are two options either u can use magisk module (requires root) or u can use twrp flashable file (attachment).
