Hi from Ireland with a small question - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

Hi all, i live in Ireland and I have a S9+ SM G965F . I'm on the Vodafone network that has a csc VDI. The phone was bought from the UK and was a branded vodafone UK VOD . When I put my VDI sim in it automatically changed to VDI/VDI/VOD.
I JUST ordered a S9+ DUOS off eglobal and the phone is coming from Hong Kong, it's new unlocked and sim free and model is SM G965FD. At this point I will have no idea what csc will be on it. Will i have problems changing it to VDI? Or am I screwed as i need wifi calling.

There are quite a few posts in this forum involving changing CSC but there's not many who have successfully done it. Your best option may be a Combination ROM. Good luck!

If it detects your sim and displays the carrier/provider, then it should be unlocked.
If you bought it brand new, then the phone sim slot might be defective.
If you bought it used, then the previous owner might have messed up the efs.
Did you try to use it after you bought it in France? And did it work?
Be honest you bought it in the grey market HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
So is it kimstore or widget city? ))))))))))))))))))))))
You can flash any rom but obviously it would be better to flash a ph rom
I flashed an HK rom before

lol no and i didn't know that kimstore and widget city, by the way i'm not rooted how will i supposed to flash that firmware thank you.
Hehe sorry bro, its just that all the grey market phones here are either from france or uae, these come cheaper but without a warranty.
Just look for a guide on flashing a samsung rom using odin, its easy but you have to read the instructions clearly. You dont need to be rooted.
Which telecom do you use? Globe, smart or sun?
If you want the best signal, go for globe or smart
Best internet, smart unless you stick to CBD areas then Globe
LTE capable sims are different from regular sims but cost more
Try all 3 telecoms if I were you, prepaid sims cost peanuts here anyway. They go for p40 which is less than a euro
Oh, they could have sold you an expired sim card, try another sim card

[Q] Region Change

Hi,
I bought the phone MPai 809T shipped from China to UAE. I had set the region to United Arab Emirates during initial configuration. The phone was working till I was in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Used it for 2 months in UAE. Now I am in India and no India SIM working here. It is detecting the SIM, but not showing signal or tower. When I try to make a call, it says "Mobile Network Unavailable". Please let me know how to change the country to India??? I suspect the Region Setting is the one causing the issue. India SIM is working in different mobile.
Please let me know. My phone is useless now. Shall I install a new ROM which will support Indian mobile networks??? Or Should I change the CSC Number??? And how to do that???
Please help.
Thanks,
Joe

[Q] Travelling to Indonesia. About CSC Codes

Hi,
I'm travelling to Indonesia this summer and want to use an Indonesian SIM whilst I am out there. Using GalaxSim, I can tell that my phone is network unlocked, however it says that CSC Lock is 'locked'. I live in the UK and know the CSC on my phone is BTU, as I has previously flashed with a BTU firmware.
So two questions,
a) What does CSC Lock 'locked' actually mean?
b) Will I be able to put an Indonesian SIM in with no issues?
Thanks.

Can the Snapdragon S9+ (G9650) be used for VoLTE in the Netherlands?

I recently moved to the Netherlands and got a contract with Tele2, a 4G provider that offers VoLTE. However, my Latin American, Snapdragon-based S9+ (SM-G9650) didn't show the VoLTE option under Settings -> Connections -> Mobile Networks. That was with a ROM from Panama. In the meantime, my wife's S8 (SM-G950F) did show it.
I tried installing a G9650 ROM from Colombia since they have a mobile provider with VoLTE, but nothing changed. I then tried a Hong Kong ROM (where pretty much *all* providers offer VoLTE), and the button appeared in the notifications area. However, when I try to enable it I get "VoLTE is not supported by your current software version".
Any suggestions? Thanks
VoLTE is really a country specific feature. Hong Kong version won’t support China’s Volte, though China Mobile operates both in Hong Kong and mainland China

Ouch... Unfortunately the SM-G9650 isn't even sold by European carriers. Any ideas?
Thanks
If you're going to live on the Netherlands sell it and buy the European version or stick with the SD without VoLTE.

Is there no ROM I can install on my Snapdragon S9+ that will allow me to use VoLTE in the Netherlands? I see no reason for the phone to be incompatible if it supports all the bands, etc.
Thanks

Active CSC Code: TPA
CSC Country: Panama / PA
Mobile Operator: Tele2 NL / 20402
Remove your SIM Card, do a Hard Reset, boot the device, insert your SIM Card then it should factory reset again and start with another CSC.

It's supposed that it'll do.
Did this work for anyone? (Remove the sim, insert etc) I'm aiming to get VoLTE on tmobile and need to change the CSC code as well.

That wont work, the CSC is embedded into the firmware for that specific region. Unless you change the firmware to the region you're in you're out of luck. In some cases the CSC is also carrier specific even in the same region.

Changing CSC of an unlocked S9+ G965U

Hello everyone. I'm struggling to find a starting point on how to change the csc of my phone. I haven't changed a csc before and there are lots of conflicting info on the forum. I'm familiar with Odin and flashing ROMs in general.
I bought my phone from the US, and it has the AT&T G65USQU1ARBI (unlocked) software, however, I live outside the US and I want to change the CSC. I want Samsung Pay to show me offers from my region.
Where to start?
Should I flash a different ROM straight away? and would that change my CSC? Obviously, I don't want any of the AT&T features, so I don't mind changing the ROM.
Is there a ROM that I can flash that supports multi-CSC options? The Samsung variant in my region is Exynos, so can I still change the CSC to my region with my Snapdragon S9+ ?
Thanks guys.
EDIT: Just learned about the snapdragon root dilemma. So I guess the root option will be dismissed.
I bought a s9 + G965F with csc Singapore but I use in Brazil 4G network is ok but I can not use voLTE and Wi-Fi calling can someone help me? version of the OXM operator.
