Hello, I need help, I own a Samsung galaxy s8 and I tried to root it, I failed and ****ed up hard :'(
I tried to flash it following multiple tuto and it failed, I had the issue :
sw rev check fail bootloader device 3 binary 2
but now, my phone has a blue screen with :
an error has occurred while updating the device software.
Use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch PC software
The smart switch pc software doesn't recognize my phone.
Please help me i'm out of option :'(
Hi , try to put your phone into Download mode , and use latest Odin version in order to re-flash the latest stock version of OS if you are note sure which one is , just send me 7 and 8 number from imei ...
Thank you for your answer, I managed to fix my phone by flashing the latest firmware. I was downloading it from a website and it turns out it wasn't the last one.
After I looked on different site, I went on sammobile and I downloaded the latest version, It took me one entire day, the download speed was slow AF and my internet connection crashed in the middle of it.
I had to ask a friend to download it at his place and then, bring it to me.
I'm really happy, I managed to fix it.

Hello everyone, I have a problem with Bell sgs2 and I'm from Ukraine,so please sorry for my English.
A little bit of history: my sister from Canada closed her contract with bell and sent me the phone. As it turned out, device was still locked, so I tried to download the latest firmware and make unlock. Firstly I tried to unlock the phone running Android 2.3.3 with custom kernel by using galaxy_S unlock app, it was succesful, but I wanted latest firmware and tried to flash different unofficial ROMs. Every time I did it nothing happened because of different errors.
Problem starts here:
Then installed rooted official ROM Android ICS with Odin and noticed that in Kies there was an update for my device. Tried to install it, but it failed when the phone was in download mode (because of damaged usb cable maybe). In Kies they wrote that I should disconnect device and take out battery. I did it.
Now when I turn it on it stops on Samsung logo. I still can open download mode or stock recovery, which is great. But the problem is that Odin doesn't recognize the phone anymore while it is in download mode. Tried to uninstall,install drivers - nothing happened. The good thing is that I can see my phone with adb when it is in recovery, tried to install some zips from sideload or external sd card - nothing happened ( Error, status 7). So basically I can't install official md5 ROM from sammobile because of Odin and can't find normal zips for recovery.

After a ODIN failed, my phone is bricked with this message : "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."

Before it, i had a problem, my tel boot again and again on Samsung screen. I couldn't switch on my phone. But download mode still worked.
Since this flash, i have this error message.

The flash failed again.
I tried emercengy recovery on Smart Switch but it doesn't recognize my phone.

My phone was bought in pre-order in march 2015 on samsung.fr (i'm french).

I flashed the CSC alone. I have now the download mode. And when i want to start my phone, he's in bootloop.
When i'm in the other mode (not download, the other), i can see a version of ROM : G920FXXU3DPBG

I bought a used Samsung tab a 9.7 and I can't use it, goes on and off in loop when I power on. I tried an hard reset and message is dm-verity verification failed. I don't know what to do with it, so I think that reinstalling the original firmware would be the solution. The no. of the model that appears on the screen is SM-T550nzaaxar. I would appreciate very much if somebody has a link of the firmware as I can download it. I don't even have the driver when I connect on my PC a link of firmware would be appreciated too.

so I was going to downgrade back to bra8 so I can update to the latest oreo build, but my pc rebooted to auto update while I was downgrading in odin!!!! afterwards it said "an error has occurred while updating the device software. use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch pc software" I tried that, the result was just as bad, it says its not supported, I didn't know the recovery code in smart switch, I tried an older version of smart switch and tried there, I had my serial and model typed in, but it said "SM-N950U does not support initializing, I reinstalled everything, rebooted, tried kies3, tried odin, tried everything, nothing works :'( if you have a solution please tell me, I'm in desperate need, thank u lots in regarddddddd,
btw I'm on crc1 oreo beta if it even matters, but I read on some forum that device firmware matters too!? then I'm really screwed???
I removed the sim and sd card from phone, used different usb ports, pretty much everything guys.
Same thing I did it bricked my phone. I can post up and use everything through Wi-Fi but I have no cellural connection. It doesn't recognize my SIM card, IMEI and any info regarding cellular connection. Help ??

Hi good people, this is my first post since I don't know where else to go.
My phone Vivo V7+ received an OTA update, so I downloaded and installed the updates, but after updating my phone now can't detect SIM card, I tried many different good SIM but still can't be detected.
I tried factory reset but failed, can't revert back to old firmware.
So I spent many hours of researching and watching YouTube tutorials and I tried to flash stockrom via QFIL. First I encountered problem going into EDL mode (which I spent hours of researching too) but solved it by shorting pinout at the back of the phone.
My laptops detect my phone qualcomm 9008 COM3, downloaded two V7+ stock rom and when I tried to flash via QFIL it will always give "Sahara Fail".
Some methods I tried;
1. Putting firmware at bin folder
2. Renaming folder into shorter name
3. Click download fast as soon as phone gets into EDL mode
4. Tried unlocking bootloader via adb but failed
5. Turn on airplane mode in laptops

Thanks @Teddy Lo for replying. All I did was followed the steps how to flash stock rom and I did downloaded the rom of the same model. But the steps that are floating around are not in great detail. And many YouTube tutorials are not in English almost 99% are in Hindi.
After my attempt of flashing I lost my IMEI and I don't have the box anymore (threw them away long time ago, lesson learned).
I guess I need to visit the nearest Vivo service centre for repair.

Why am I giving up? Maybe because I scouted forums and YouTubes for hours and day, and when I tried it on my Laptop it keeps giving the same error over and over.
The big problem now is that I lost my original IMEI (whis is stupid of me not talking note of it before doing anything else), and I threw my box long time ago.

Oh well guess I'll be visiting Vivo .

SOLVED.
I went to Vivo service center and told them to wipeout everything and downgrade firmware to the previous version and they did it in 20 minutes.
Now my phone is working normally and they got my IMEI back.
