VIVO Y51L (PD1510F_EX_A_1.1) unlock bootloader - Vivo Y51L Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi Team,
I know that VIVO Y51L running on PD1510F_EX_C bootloader can be unlocked using "fastboot bbk unlock_vivo" which was worked for me.
But When I downgraded to PD1510F_EX_A using QFIL tool some bad things happened as below since I used "rawprogram_unsparse" rather than "rawprogram_unsparse_no_qcn"
1.Wifi/Mac Address gone
2.IMEI gone
3.Sim is not detecting
4. by Power off and Volume + & - button in QFIL PORT is not getting detected but enters into Fastboot mode.
So How to Flash Stock rom again to recover everything using QFIL (Port cannot detect) ?
Is there anyway to unlock bootloader in PD1510F_EX_A version (Android 5.0.2) ?
Thanks,
Ramesh Selvam

Hello, Thank you for this proposal.
For now I have no idea of how to save the bootloader or the recovery.
But i think it was blocked because i have a bootloader locked and no recovery.
The only way seems to be a full write of the memory with the meizu tools.
I have test with a android rom but they don't work "token sign failed".
If you can upload the bootloader.img and the recovery.img, i this, you can save my phone

I have the exact same problem. And that 16 there in the screenshot gets incremented on every subsequent call to
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
until it reaches 256 or something, at which point the device shuts down.
Initially in fastboot mode my device would say that the bootloader is unlocked, so it was not like that from the start. But I locked it by mistake (lets say ) while trying to figure out how to make ubuntu-device-flash work (by shooting in the dark, mostly, rather than reading). Had no idea it will not let me unlock it after that.
Also before that there were some
Code:
fastboot flash all
so basically there is no OS no recovery, no nothing. Just barely getting the fastboot mode - otherwise totally useless.
Really looking forward for ideas

OEM Unlock problem

Hello,
I cannot find OEM Unlock; I currently have the official Chinese developer ROM from the official MIUI pages "Fastboot".
Redmi Note 3 MTK Latest China Developer Version Fastboot File Download <--- This one
Redmi Note 3 MTK Latest China Stable Version Fastboot File Download
I have tried both versions, but not one seems to display the OEM Unlock option. I was thinking if I haven't installed a wrong ROM, as there were also
Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm Latest China Developer Version Fastboot File Download
Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm Latest China Stable Version Fastboot File Download
Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm Latest Global Developer Version Fastboot File Download
Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm Latest Global Stable Version Fastboot File Download.
I am looking to find OEM unlock so I could install TWRP and flash a custom rom (Basically MIUI 8 in my native language that supports google play etc.) Most likely, my phone is already unlocked, because I can access Fastboot and the web service does not offer me the "Apply for Unlock" option.
So: Should I have installed a different ROM for me to see OEM unlock?
I also saw another method of flashing, again on en miui com, where you first enter the EDL mode, but I cannot do so (I haven't found a guide that works), and using the ADB application during fastboot shows me that no devices are connected.
I am quite desperate about this, as my phone, using the Chinese ROM, cannot do many things it used to do. Please help!
My MIUI version is MIUI 8 6.9.8 Beta - the MTK developer rom.
Enable developer options first, then select that option in settings - additional settings!
Open Settings> About on your Android phone or tablet.
Now scroll to Build number and tap it 7 times.
After tapping the Build Number 7 times, you will see a message “You are now a developer!”

Hello corkiejp, I already have developer options enabled. I cannot post links, so I couldn't show what I see in the dev options menu. I have USB debugging there allright, but no OEM Unlock.

That is some pretty good info. Finally, I managed to move a bit. My device was MTK, so that is why I couldn't get EDL to work.
I tried flashing several Global MIUI 7/8 ROMs for MTK with SP Flash tool, 8.0, 7.5, 7.3 and 6.6, but they all gave me (preloader ticked/unticked) the error: BROM ERROR S_SECURITY_SECURE_USB_DL_IMAGE_SIGN_HEADER_NOT_FOUND (6045) MSP ERROR CODE.
Google revealed nothing. I tried several versions of SP Flash tool and ROMs, but to no avail...
Seriously at the end of my rope here. What do? Thanks.

Edl dead recovery Rn4 unofficial bootloader unlocking

Hello guys,it's been 3 days since I applied for unlocking my RN4 and even after getting permission I wasn't able to unlock it
Last night I got frustrated and started looking for any unofficial trick like RN3 has.... What they do is put their device in edl mode and flash a moded apps boot.mbn file and then on fastboot they execute the unlock boatloader command like fastboot OEM unlock and get a working unlocked bootloader for their device.....
I used to work as a professional DRS -digital repair specialist in reliance Jio so there we. Had a water 2 named mobile which can't be fixed after soft brick as it had the edl mode via any cable or any other process so when I opened the handset I saw those dot pinouts and tried to short them one by one and finally I got it to boot in edl mode and then flash it with qfil.....
Same as that phone... This RN4 also had those pin outs, so I opened the back and started shorting pin outs while battery was unplugged and hey yehh that let my phone in edl mode huhu ... I was happy and to test if it works or not... I got a global fastboot ROM and I wasn't able to flash it before edl via fastboot but now.... When I fired up mi flash... Set directory I was able to get it in working state (yes soft brick RN4 got life)
Than I got a twrp recovery and renamed it to recovery. IMG and put it inside of mido(RN4) flashing folder and flashed it .... But sadly even after it got flashed via mi flash I saw stock recovery...
So here I am asking for a file to get our bootloader unlocked which is emmc_appsboot.mbn
I'll upload the original file and it will be glad if some one will help me to modify that mbm file to make it unlock via fastboot.........
Let's see if people dev. Will help me or not..
Or even if some one will give me a already unlocked bootloader IMG or mbn file I'll proceed further... So plz do help me... We're soon close to get an unofficial bootloader for our beloved RN4..

Unlocking bootloader is nightmare on Mi phones. I was trying to upgrade to MIUI 9 Developer ROM from my current stable and I have to unlock the bootloader to do so. It's crazy ! I didn't have to do that on Redmi Note 3. It was easy to switch between stable and developer roms from updater app.
Anyone has any idea how can I flash the latest developer build on my Redmi Note 4 with out unlocking bootloader?

As far as using mobile data, MI account already recognized my device & successfully passed the "Add account and device"
During unlocking, I made sure to open a hotspot from the phone # which is registered with the MI account.
*edit: it's a Wifi only Pad.. so.. though I do have a choice of Wifi or hotspot during the unlocking process

I've got this.. pic with an unlock. Does it mean bootloader is unlocked?
if i choose the second option and enter WiFi information, then choose the first option, it boots as though factory reset has been done (goes through the initial setup) BUT all the data is there. and status shows it's STILL LOCKED.
Now the 2nd time, i let the locked icon stay and boot into fastboot and try installing TWRP, it failed :-(
this is the error i get:

Writing 'recovery' FAILED (remote: 'No support by lock control')
fastboot: error: Command failed

Glad it worked but if there is no recovery or rom for this model, why unlock the bootloader?
You can install a stock Global or other rom but without locking the bootloader and rooting to have a certified play store.
