Custom binary blocked by FRP Lock (Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
I have a Samsung J7 on which I successfully ran a custom ROM (LineageOS).
Today I was playing around in Developer Settings and foolishly disabled OEM Unlocking. I had no idea what that would cause. After the next reboot my phone is now stuck in the dreaded FRP lock state. Of course, I now can’t get into recovery mode.
Having read up on this, my understanding is that flashing the phone with a stock firmware should get me up and running again.
So I found what I think is the correct firmware from updato.com
I’m running on a Linux environment and used heimdall to flash my device last time, when I installed my custom ROM. The command I used then was
Code:
sudo heimdall flash --RECOVERY twrp-xxx.img --no-reboot
However, what I downloaded from updato.com is a zip containing five files:
Code:
AP_J730FXWU1AQF6_CL11460356_QB13916694_REV00_user_low_ship_meta.tar.md5
BL_J730FXWU1AQF6_CL11460356_QB13916694_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
CP_J730FXXU1AQF1_CP6623266_CL11460356_QB13769558_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
CSC_OJK_J730FOJK1AQG1_CL11901644_QB14314170_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
HOME_CSC_OJK_J730FOJK1AQG1_CL11901644_QB14314170_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
I have no idea what to do next. Should I flash one of them or several/all of them? And which partition should I specify to flash into? Is it still RECOVERY or should it be another one? I don’t want to hard brick my device, so need you help please.
Device: Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro (SM-J730F)
Error message: Custom binary blocked by FRP Lock.

S925F manual update to XtreStoLite 5.1.1, stuck in DL mode

I have a German S6 Galaxy Edge G925F. I rooted it early on with Kingroot, which (I gather) blocked me from receiving OTA updates from my provider. So I was stuck at 5.0.2. I've flashed custom ROMs on all my previous android devices, so this morning I thought I'd try flashing XtreStoLite as a way of getting to 5.1.1, and a nicer 5.1.1 at that! I used the directions at http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-xtrestolite-pure-edition-1-0-beta-1-t3082467 . I made a stupid mistake though, and started the update before reading ALL the instructions ALL the way through.
Now I can get into Download mode, but otherwise I'm stuck at the initial "samsung galaxy s6 edge powered by android" boot screen, with red text at the top:
Code:
KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
SYSTEM REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 2, BINARY: 1
I'm on a Mac, and since JOdin can't seem to read PIT files anymore I'm using pure heimdall command line. So here's what I did:
1) Downloaded G925F-XXU2BOGG-BOOTLOADER.tar from the above thread, and flashed the contained 5.1.1 cm.bin and sboot.bin. (
Code:
heimdall flash --no-reboot --80 sboot.bin --90 cm.bin
)
2) Immediately found myself unable to boot. Worried I had already ****ed up, I did not flash the modem (since that's the part that REALLY can't go back AFAIK)
3) Flashed TWRP linked from http://zidroid.com/how-to-install-twrp-root-galaxy-s6-edge-on-android-5-1-1/ . (
Code:
heimdall flash --no-reboot --6 recovery.img
).
Still couldn't boot into recovery.
4) Flashed a 5.1.1 kernel to see if that would help me boot: S6_UniKernel_v8-0002-ODIN from http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...d-development/kernel-stockmod-kernel-t3100395 .
Now I'm stuck. I can't get into recovery mode to flash the actual rom, and my 5.0.2 OS doesn't match my 5.1.1 bootloader or kernel. If I could flash a 5.1.1 OS from heimdall that would be my next step, but I can't find one to use, and I'm not sure which partition(s) it would go to anyway.
On the download mode screen I see
Code:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-G925F
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
REACTIVATION LOCK: OFF
Secure Download: Enabled
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 1 (0x0304)
AP SWREV: B: 2 K:2 S:2
Please help! How I can get to recovery mode from here?
I dusted off an old Windows machine and fired it up, just to use ODIN. Found a vanilla 5.1.1 ROM for ODIN, and installed it from there... and it worked perfectly!
I don't understand why so many ROMs exist for odin, but no one packages for Heimdall. Heimdall seems much more reliable, and it's cross platform! Plus, we actually know what it's doing... /rant
Anyway, for whatever unlucky soul finds this... Flashing 5.1.1 via ODIN involved overwriting boot.img, cache.img, recovery.img, system.img, and modem.bin . Of course that's just one step for ODIN, you get a single .tar.md5 file, press the "AP" button to load it in, and it flashes those files to the right partitions in sequence.
So unless you have all of those files, I guess you can't do an update with Heimdall. You actually NEED a windows device.

TWRP loop after Galaxy s6 root

Hello, I'm newbie at smartphones modifications, however I appriciate freedom that gives rooted Android. Hence, I have decided to root my phone Basically, I used Odin 3.10.6 plus SpaceX-Kernel_MM_RC2.1_G920F.tar.md5 plus TWRP-3.0_MM_S6_by_ManhIT.tar.md5 plus SuperSu
The problem is i got stucked at TWRP loop, I have managed to boot the phone with the help of: Minimal ADB and Fastboot with 2 commands: "adb reboot recovery" and "adb reboot bootloader". However, everytime now, when I reset to factory settings or when I try to enter to the TWRP Recovery it loops again and i have again use Minimal ADB and Fastboot. I use Samsung Galaxy s6 SM-G920F with Android 6.0.1.
Could you please help me solving this problem? I will be very gratefull.
You should use Odin to reinstall the original firmware and start over. You should be able to root by just using the appropriate TWRP and the newest SuperSu zip from Chainfire. Make sure to do a nandroid backup in TWRP before rooting so you have an easy way to restore the phone if something else goes wrong.
Thank you very much for the answer. Could you please describe the procedure step by step? I'm not fluent in computing, especially smartphones. I think it will help other users and guests as well, since google shows that many users have similar problems. I m keen to learn Android system.
These steps are all over the place, including the forum for your phone, which is why I didn't bother posting more concrete instructions.
You'll find more info here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/stock-firmwares-sm-g920f-k-l-p-s-t-t3317826
If your phone had a newer firmware than posted on that thread, then you might need to find a newer update.
There are plenty of YouTube guides as well. It's the same for any newer Samsung phone with the only differences being which version of Odin or which firmware you need.

Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 Keep Rebooting Non-Stop After Flashing A Wrong Firmware

Please, I seriously need help, I would be glad if you guys can help me out. I decided to root my Samsung galaxy s5 sm-g900v using a method from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...testers-required-easier-root-method-t3561529/ after I successfully downgraded the phone to 4.4.2 kk, I tried following the next steps to unlock the bootloader and flash my ROM which failed despite that I followed it accordingly.
After many fail to unlock the bootloader so I tried using Odin to restore to PB1 stock as mentioned in this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72152905&postcount=3 after I used Odin to flash S5_KLTE_USA_VZW.pit and G900V_Firmware_PB1.tar.md5 the phone restarted and keep rebooting, I can't enter recovery mode again
My download mode screen says:
Current binary: Samsung official
System Status: Custom
Reactivation lock: Off
Qualcomm secure boot: enable (csb)
Secure download: enable
Please if there's any way you guys can help me out, I will greatly appreciate, Thanks

Download this zip file: https://firmware.gem-flash.com/index.php?a=browse&b=file-info&id=21199
It will contain a BL
AP
CP
CSC
Just flash the AP file and forget about the other files hopefully it works
Or this one if you want to get back to 6.0.1

Galaxy S7 root issues - I've tried for 2 days!

Hey guys,
I've just recently brought a Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F) - I've tried rooting it with "CF-Auto-Root-herolte-heroltexx-smg930f" on a stock rom downloaded from sammobile.
Nothing has been working. It successfully loads with Odin, reboots and says "Recovery Is Not Seandroid Enforcing" then reboots again and will not startup.
I'm not sure what is wrong. I've followed about 10 different sets of instructions and I've had no success with having any of it work.
The serial number of the device is: R58H729E0GM
The baseband version is: G930FXXU1DQEF
The build number is: NRD90M.G930FXXS1DQG5
I've enabled developer mode and enabled OEM unlocking.
If anyone has any experience I would very much appreciate it. I have no idea why it will not work.
Thank You so much in advance. (I've been searching for 2 days for a solution!)
I believe u need TWRP for that model, then flash CF-Auto with TWRP
Hey i have the same device rooted with twrp and herolte.img - install twrp and load the Image for your device ! Then you have to use odin and flash the herolte.img (in odin AP-Slot) to your device.
Then Boot up the device to twrp and Flash cf-image !
Hope this helps ....
If you need more Information ask here again...
Greetz & happy flashing

Unlock bootloader.Lineage OS install

Hi,
My device is SM-G531F(SAMSUNG GALAXY GRAND PRIME)
Since this device is running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version,I wanted to upgrade it to atleast to Android Marshmallow.
For that,i wanted to install lineageos13 or above if available for my device.
Device is rooted, verified by root checker app.TWRP is installed.
But i couldnt figure out how to unlock bootloader for samsung.ADB command will not work.because when i type adb reboot bootloader, device will restart normally.I only know how to enter download mode or recovery mode.Is there any free working tool which can unlock bootloader?.If so,plz sent zip file here.i dont wish to be redirected to other websites because they look dangerous.
Is there any bootloader unlock file which i can flash on my phone(sm-g531f) by using Odin?
Otherwise let me know if i can flash similar device but different model firmware.for example, can i flash SM-G530H for SM-G531F device?so that i can unlock bootloader by flashing cf-autoroot file.
Or can i flash LineageOS13 without unlocking bootloader?
Or can I flash Android 6 0r or above firmware which is somewhat similar to SM-g531f.
Thanks in advance for all efforts made to answer the above questions.
@KhaledMAQ
Test whether phone's boot-loader can get unlocked
Code:
adb devices
adb shell "getprop ro.oem_unlock_supported"
If value returned is 1 then it's possible, otherwise not.
Guys!No need to unlock bootloader or root
I was fed up of unlocking bootloader. Therefore I went into download mode and installed TWRP.Then after moving the zip files (lineageos13 and GApps) to device storage,I went into Twrp recovery mode and wiped system, data, cache, dalvik and then installed LineageOS13 and Gapps file. Thanks to Nemirtingas. Link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/grand-prime/development/lineageos-13-0-grand-prime-velte-t3874411 . But the his Gapps file wasnt working so i downloaded it from official site.
Well,it worked on my Samsung device SM-G531F(GALAXY GRAND PRIME VE) .I was happy to get Android 6.1.1 version on my device which was actually 5.1.1 before.
Thanks for the files that were posted on xda forums.
