Custom kernels aren't supported on stock KitKat afaik. You may flash a latest custom ROM and then flash clarity kernel for double tap to wake

That's not possible AFAIK.
May be possible
Another tweak I found to wake your Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus simply by double tapping the screen.
To activate this:
1. You must have rooted phone.
2. File manager with root access.
Method:
1. Go to root/sys/ANDROID_TOUCH.
2. Open doubletap2wake with any text editor.
3. Change the value "0" to "2".
4. Save.
5. Restart your phone.
6. Done

Yes, it could work, only if you have custom kernel with wake options implemented.

what you know how to implement this? i asked this to many developers, but no one helped me.
i don't keep the phone without it, and custom kernels have problems.

do you enable dt2w on settings? If it doesn't work you can try download kernel adiutor on play Store. Open it and go to wake and enable it on boot. See if it works.

If settings and kernel adiutor isn't showing d2w then probably it isn't supported by your display.

maybe your stock kernel don't support DT2W . You can try custom kernel that support dt2w ie Franco kernel . But before that make a backup first before doing anything.

You have to go to security.
Activate a lock type.
Then go to Smart Lock and add a trust face (yours )
Then in the advanced settings, in trust agent, give autorisation to Smart Lock

OK, so that's an other question!
Before, some used "instant face unlock" (Xposed Module).
Maybe search for a Magisk module.

First root your phone and then download autoinput app from play store... In that app there is a option called auto keyguard unlock type something.
Or you can use RR pie rom.
