If you tried King or Kingoroot without success then pc is necessary in my thinking.....
Just ignore that upgrade linke stuff...
If you want to know how to root your device with pc them post below...
A developer or near to developer can add security patches to you rom in my thinking....

Need help for root [solved]

Hey guys!
I have a empire electronics M805 , and i want to root it, but their aren't any tutorials / files, so i can root it.
It runs at android 4.1.1 (i think not the stock version, light edited, other kernel?) It is a tablet!
hi
if it is not on stock rom chances are your tablet is already rooted as most of custom roms come rooted but some of them dont come with a superuser app even though they are rooted in this case just donwload superuser app from play store and update the biaries (also check usb debuging to make root work ) , stock rom means the rom your tablet came with when you first bought it , if your tab is on stock rom chances are it is not rooted in deed even though some manufacturers sell their devices rooted , to root your tab i only see one last solution if there is no dedicated procedure for it , you will have to try general rooting sollutions like unlock root (it is normally safe but do at your own risk) : http://www.android.gs/root-any-android-based-device/
there is also kingo : http://www.kingoapp.com/
and one click root (works only for popular devices though) : http://www.oneclickroot.com/
there are others just google , if your device is a new comer to the market maybe a dedicated root method will come when it will gain more popularity , i hope i helped you .
Yeah you helped me !

Galaxy S4 5.0.1- "Root Strategy Unavailable" - KingRoot

Hey everyone,
So I'm pretty new to this whole rooting thing and I was following a tutorial on how to root on 5.0.1 (Verizon S4) with KingRoot.
When I try to run KingRoot, I am getting a message saying "Root Strategy Unavilable - no strategy found." I tried KingRoot 4.1 and 4.5
I tried to do some googling and have been unable to come up with an answer.
Any help is appreciated.
What bootloader do you have? If you're on the latest ota, i don't believe you can root (unless something has recently changed)

Re-rooting

Hello awesome developers,
I need some help from you about my Lenovo a6000 android device.
So it contains android v4.4.4 OS. Now just 2 days before I rooted my device by searching the xda developers forums, here is the link of that page= http://forum.xda-developers.com/chef-central/android/how-to-temporarily-boot-cwm-t3053394
I rooted it and It was working great. But on yesterday I got a notification saying the upgrade to android 5.0.2 is available for your mobile. So because of the new OS, I upgraded my mobile to 5.0.2 OS. Its successfully updated. After that I installed the root checker app and its said that there is no root access on your device. To confirm again, I installed Super user app. And it said= You just upgraded to Lolipop, you need to re-root your device.
Then I repeated the same rooting process but its now giving me error at the steps when you select the supersu.zip file in recovery mode.
Its giving 2 errors = 1 is something dmb error and the 2nd is certificate error. And installation failed.
So what I need to do in order to root my device again?
Thank You
Hello again,
I found one app named Kingroot 1.8.5 with the help of which I successfully rooted my lenovo a6000 android v.5.0.2 successfully. I see the king root app installed on the home screen. The app is easy to use just like the xda developers apps
Is there any app from xda developers which can root this device which is going through this type of case I mentioned above?
Than You for taking my question in to the consideration. If I mistaken somewhere, I apologize. As even though I am a Hardware Engineer, I am newbie in Software Development Industry.
I am looking forward to your valuable replay.
Thank You

PitPin found root! But he hasn't posted the code :(

So in an assist thread, PitPin talked about a vunerability in KitKat that could potentially give root, and in one of his posts he said that he reached userId:0. userId:0 is root privileges , however he hasn't been active in a long time . What I'm asking is that everyone contact him and anyone close to him so that he can post the code and/or app he used so that we can finally work on making some custom roms/recoveries.
just curious what is PitPin ? new root program ?
some other root method that didn't trip knox available on kitkat (for example) kingsroot than you can upgrade using flashfire to lollipop.

PitPin was a developer on the forums that was trying to figure out a way to access root privileges on the A variant of the Alpha. KingRoot wasn't able to root this variant, which is why most people steer clear of AT&T phones because of their restrictive nature

i have an SAMSUNG J5 2016 and i tried rooting it with varios root apps for mobile like king root and all that stuff(even tried with the pc version of king root) and it didnt work,i think there is some kind of a securtiy lock which doesnt allow the root process to complete.
