Ok, my question is neither a disrespect to any dev working on the device nor i decline all their hard work which they put in bringing us cm and twrp etc... This is simply a question...
After cm, will devs work on other roms, to port them to our phone e.g aokp or pacman....

Broken and Dirty Unicorns
Du and broken are both supposed to be coming to the 5x after we get official marshmallow. Those are about the only 2 I care about so IDK about any others. Broken already has lollipop for it but they aren't going to release it to the public until it's upgraded to mm.

Broken os and dirty unicorns... A quick Google Search will tell you all you need to know
I hope some custom roms some through fast, the stock really sucks a** and it's just not Android from UX or it's functions! Such crap OS, hell, can't even use basic root apps effectively (like TB) or install straight forward mods (v4A for ex)....all things either screw up the system or just don't work! The CM build by crpalmer seems to be working for most, but it lack fingerprint support something of a factor that made me buy this phone in the first place

Stock isn't too terrible if you use a different launcher. I have v4a and tibu both running great, Just took a little work. As far as dev names and stuff like that... Come on guys you have all the worlds knowledge at your fingertips use it! I won't spoon feed it to you

Without the correct sources and binaries i'm not seeing any sort of custom ROMs become stable enough for daily use. Even Lollipop ROMs are currently bug-ridden due to Honor releasing ****ty code.

Still not as bad as the source for the Kirin SoC in the Honor 4x, That was an "amazing" experience.

Yea, thanks for the hint though i love all the tinkering I do, I missed the alternative launcher option! I installed Nova and it's much better than the stock Huawei home launcher.
Also, on the V4A, somehow it refuses to work at times and having an "abnormal" status for the driver. Uninstalled it completely now and flashed the Dolby Atmos, seems like my phone has suddenly come alive when it comes to speaker quality and music on headphones.......way better than what I was getting with V4A.

I was having the same problem with the "abnormal driver", then I got the selinux mode changer app and set it to change it to permissive on every boot... Viola! And yes it is much better with a different launcher. I'm running Google Now launcher and now that we have xposed I'm using xposed gel settings to get it just the way I want

You guys want it pre rooted or not, Magisk or super Su and so one [emoji39]
As always we want to get it as close to your wishes as possible

As I stated before, we are working hard to make Oreo happen for our Axon7 community and bring it to our A7.
An official but half way leaked build was released but not bug free, and we are now working hard and trying to make it working for you guys.
We can relay on innoficial help of ZTE international if it comes to specific problems as we officially work closely together with ZTE, but we really need the community to make it custom and specific to your needs and requests.

But that Oreo project has nothing to do with this Vanilla Rom (the Vanillepudding project)

Unnecessary, oreo supports OMS out of the box, as long as ZTE did not purposefully remove it
An always on display mode (like on the pixel) would be pretty neat.

Okay, I didn't know this ROM was going to be based off the stock ZTE's one.
My request: Black interface on the menus, notification panels, etc like on Swift black substratum theme.
Just keep it clean with no bloatware. That is the most important. Ant a extended power menu will be fine.
hey @Sunn76 - already read about your announcement on the android-hilfe. great thing! as for me i have to second that already posted root-method thing: let the users decide which root method the want and simple leave it non-rooted. i think this keeps things more common and therefore more user-friendly. i also have to second that already mentioned OMS-request. OMS is simply great and fast. To add my few cents i'd suggest signature spoofing support as well as the option to change the selinux to permissive/enforced. Furthermore i think the more common and clean the ROM is the more people will enjoy it and beeing able to fit it to thier needs. Non-gApps would always be prefered

So Android P rolled out, and I was wondering, we've been blessed with devs work and got every great update and tons of rom for this device. And was wondering is there by any chance getting Android P based roms in future. Also I was specially wondering about RR, because I like that a rom alot.

Sorry, the devs need income and now the devs like @rocknegi have started p**n for ₹50/day or ₹200/month cause the users aren't donating enough money.
If they get enough income from p**n selling, they will develop Android P for you.

I know but just use some sense? We are not devs, we are normal users like you. How do we all users know if a dev can develop Android P. Plus, do you think a dev will announce 'Hey Niggas, I'll develop Android P rom for you all niggas asking for it, wait for few hours:. No?
The dev need to look into the source, need time to see what all bugs needs to be fixed, else users like you will come here and say it's buggy, that doesn't work, this doesn't work right?
Another sensible answer: Android P sources are just released. It's not like magic to develop rom directly from the source. Needs a lot of hack, back port blobs and things we don't even understand.
Summary: it's a redundant question as of now. Please wait, if there's a Android P rom, you will see it here. Till than, enjoy other roms.

As one of the lineage 15.1 maker for Redmi Note 3, yep, we will do bringup after 9.0 source code release, and should be easier than Oreo, as Pie impacted a lot of backport comparable, please don't ask lots of annoying OTA, follow XDA rule, P will be coming to Kenzo/Kate after sometimes, but for Treble is more harder as blobs are old, we need to wait hydrogen and suzu devices etc updates for new blobs, for more Treble working, and even CAF for msm8952 board not impacted treble, unlike msm8953 board, so treble now is experimental and don't expect stable treble in a short time.

Yep. I've been using the Pixel Experience 9.0 from @thestrechh as my daily driver for a couple days now.
It's usable if you can get by without VoLTE and Bluetooth.
Gcam works, but can't change the settings and it crashes a lot. Front and back camera stills and video all working.
The rom feels pretty buggy and a bit sluggish to me. CPU operations seem to take an unusually long time. Maybe all the cores are not being utilized optimally. (Don't know. I haven't actually tested.)
I'm sure this rom will continue to get better and better in the coming days. I'm anxious to dirty flash the coming updates.

I've not noticed sluggish performance here, but I have noticed bugs here and there, which is par for the course, considering the infantile state of Android Pie development.
Still though, for an early release, it works almost excellently

Interesting. Since when? afaik all of Markus's roms work fine with dac. including all his pie roms

I really want a ROM that allows me to modify the power button functions to show a "reboot" and "reboot to recovery" along with "power off", removing all other options from the boot menu accessed via power button. Also saw the Google Now bar which was, for a while, known as a pain to remove on the Nexus 5 (or was that Android in general?). Hoping it's possible to remove that bar entirely.

Open source is open source. No one -- even ROM group -- has any control over "unofficial" builds somebody wants to make. They're unofficial.
Unofficial is actually better in many instances, because the device maintainer can make whatever changes they wish, and are not restricted by ROM group rules.

The DU guys dont want any releases on XDA, at all. There has been some dramain the past... lets say it that way.
And yes, they have a say in unofficial builds too. But im gonna respect their wishes anyway. The builds are in the V30 Telegram group, or in the V30 Discord server (the later is still WIP).
Unfortunately, the T-Mobile V30 is always the odd one out with these ROMs. So the only one I have been able to use is Lineage 16. But other than the dim Always On Display, I haven't had any issues with it and it works great. I don't feel the need to go back to Oreo now.

I'm very aware of the fact that AOSP loses features from stock. But audio recording thought the headphone jack sucks now! The default recorder was amazing, and every app I try blows out the mic... I've tried all of them even Field Recorder.
I'm aware my use case is very specific. I use a lavalier mic to record interviews and conversations for videos. Honestly every other app, other than the stock LG one has no dynamic range and turning down gain in settings does nothing.
I'm open to suggestions, it's just a huge bummer that my last 5 projects all suffer from a blown out mic.

Stuff like this is why I'm still on ROOTED stock firmware. I can flash/install mods to give me custom features.
The only thing that really bugs me right now I've not been able to change easily is the status bar icons --- and maybe I just haven't looked hard enough.
If the polling weren't already completed, I would have voted for a third option. It would be either stock or none. I have flirted with all of the pie roms, and they each suffer from similar and fatal flaws like the one you give. Others to add are a functional camera app, propper playback volume, need for se enforcing, and correct set up for mms on Verizon to name a few. I hope this isn't interpreted that the efforts of the devs are not valued. The dev's have made amazing progress in six months or so since wtf was announced. I'm aware my use case is very specific. I use a lavalier mic to record interviews and conversations for videos. Honestly every other app, other than the stock LG one has no dynamic range and turning down gain in settings does nothing.
I'm open to suggestions, it's just a huge bummer that my last 5 projects all suffer from a blown out mic.

Right. The devs are amazing.
@SGCMarkus singlehandedly brought the V30 a half dozen AOSP/Lineage custom ROMs.
It's just for me personally, I've made the decision to stay on stock rooted firmware for now.
As you know, on the Moto Quark I was a BIG proponent of first CM (which is now Lineage) and RR ROMs.
How about Potato Open Source Project? Anyone have test the rom yet?

Personally I have not being one of the newer contenders I believe it may need some time, but that is just my opinion as I like to allow roms time to bake

I know this is random considering but Matt have you tried theming status bar icons with substratum? Seems to work on stock for myself.

Why? FYI the s10 can run lineage already. simply install the Univeral system image build
The S10 is fully compatible with treble 2, literally just install any GSI Rom, including Google's official Android Q Beta for GSI
Be aware the camera is total crap though, its like taking pictures from messenger / whatsapp.

Even though it is Treble ready, I doubt it will be daily driver ready, some form of development is required.
Really looking forward to getting LOS, I am starting to get bored with my S10e

What magical GSI are you talking about? Have you even tried GSIs on S10? It doesn't work any good. Lots of major bugs. That won't magically fix itself. If Ivan can help if people donate device, and people want to donate, let this be.

The current state of gsis is not daily driver ready
Bugs: MTP, Proximity sensor, Signal bars, Bluetooth, NFC, HWC, deep sleep, Fingerprint, brightness range, auto brightness
Having a device specific rom is always better
Still no luck in booting Q gsi - any advices?

Swappa doesnt even work in EEA and those are used prices in most of eu, actually cheapest we've found
Hope something can be done with snapdragon as well

Those bugs were probably due to the specific rom you were using, as HWC in aosp gsi is literally mandatory for google to certify the device. Its on the list of treble requirements even

it doesn't work, it didn't work properly since pie on s9 either sure it will show up as working in logs (dumpsys SurfaceFlinger) but anyone who tried using it will notice graphical glitches in transition animations, due to samsungs messed up implementation of dealing with fences in hwc2 (they treat it same way as hwc1 fences) but i guess some people would rather be stubborn than do some research, furthermore he should know big oems get exempt from some tests sometimes, take for example a fact previously samsung had completely different fingerprint enrolling percentage calculation so fingerprint couldn't be enrolled by default you either had to use custom hal (like we did at lineage) or hack up system like phh did

I've tried 3 gsis till now and i can confirm its not a rom specific bug.
And Samsung doesn't fully follow the rules set by google
I would really suggest you to try a gsi yourself if you're thinking it's something usable in its current state.
Was there ever a stable build for the S8? Last I remember a lot was still broken. (It's been awhile)

Yeah s8 has stable lineage right now, Well next update will bring even more things to it, Previous maintainer didnt do much, Also i personaly dont have plans of working on qcom variants as stated previously as i enjoy working on exynos more and have a lot of experience with it so i would leave qcom to someone else as it should also be way easier

How could you be bored of oneui and the themeing and all the other things you have on stock... i think your just curious to have linage os running on your phone you mean because all youll find is poor battery and performance and a poor camera and over heating issues then youll be back to stock in no time....then ull get curious again when something else comes up and youll do it all over again then keep repeating lol...past experience for me haha thats y i dont even root now days...was talking about myself in that rant btw.
