Unlock bootloader - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

Hey guys!
I'm new to MIUI. As u Can unlock bootloader in 3 days!! Can anyone help us how to unlock bootloader of POCO F1?
Thanks.

Sign into a Mi Account on the phone. This begins the "binding" time period. Once you've gone past 72 hours of having signed in, download the Mi Unlock Tool which can be found here (https://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html). Install it and install the USB driver that comes with it. Then enabled Developer Options and in that switch on the 'OEM Unlocking' and the 'USB Debugging' options.
Enter Fastboot mode on your phone. To do this, switch it off completely. Then keep the 'volume down' and 'power' button pressed at the exact same time. You will enter Fastboot mode and it will clearly say so with a huge image of the Android dude bang in the centre.
Connect your POCO F1 to your PC via USB and fire up the Mi Unlock Tool. Then just click on Unlock and watch the magic happen.

Dev roms will not help, only way out is flashing stable roms.
Hold and press the power button(30sec) without pulg in charger or pc it will reboot
I finally took it to service center and got the software flashed
same problem
hey friend, i also flashed stock rom using twrp and it got stuck into edl. no fastboot no booting. anything is not working. its under warranty. will the service centre do it for free or they charge something?
Hold power button and vol down for 10 secs (in 7-8 seconds, it reboots).
It will eventually go into fastboot mode.
Now you can use the trick to go into EDL mode from fastboot (google it or here)
From here use the MiFlash to flash global stable. Unlock your bootloader again by using MiUnlock and there you go!
EDIT:
Now only saw you fixed the problem, maybe this post will help others.

This wont work
Only EDL mode happens when some of the bootloader files gets corrupted
You will only see red light blinking n nothing else
Phone wont switch on [stuck at 900E mode], getting into fastboot is not possible
This can be fixed by using deep flash cable method

That 900E mode is the QH USB Diagnostics mode. This means it is in EDL mode itself, from there you could use MiFlash. But when I first flashed the MIUI fastboot ROM, power got cut and my battery-less laptop turned off in the middle of the flash process. When I connected it was in EDL mode but MiFlash didn't detect it. Then holded the power and vol down button together for 10 secs and I was able to get into EDL, Mi Flash detected the phone in COMXX and flashed it!
Even now, I used that method to unbrick my note 3 (i flashed 5.1 MIUI ROM from 6.0 MIUI ROM and got bricked).
This works (atleast for me).
Same Situation also I'm faced.. by flashing a Ported Fastboot ROM through MiFlash Tool.. the ROM was actually.. Ported from Kate MIUI 8 Special Edition ROM..
After Successful flashing I'm not getting Fastboot mode, no recovery mode & even no charging logo by put my Device in charge.. only Red Blinking led flashing.. then I'm gone mad & go Service Center in the morning.. that guy told me my Device mother board need to change.. so i asked how many it cost? they told me 90% of your Device Rate.. so i told it means around 7-8 thousand?
they told me yes.. then i told then no need.. then I'll buy new Phone again..
then that Service Center guy ask me for a offer, if i Sell my Device in that condition.. so i asked how much? i told 7 thousand?
they told me in that condition.. it goes with 1 to 1½ thousand.. I didn't accepted their offer.. then come back to home with my brick device..
then at night my mind get blank & I'm gone mad.. what to do..
then thinking, it's alrdy brick no more hope..
at last i can try if it fixed somehow..
then Open my Device back panel by my nail.. & Open up all the Screws again & connect that two pin again.. After spending many times..
magically I'm get Com port in my MiFlash Tool..
then quickly flashed full Fastboot ROM. & after flashing, All the Screws get back then Reboot my Device.. & finally my Device get it's life Back again...
& even with that Device I'm taking with you (Write)... ! ??
Such a Horrible Situation I had ever faced..

If it is 9008, then only you will be able to flash via Miflash tool
Or else, it wont detect com port
No, 900E is also supported by MiFlash.
Atleast it supports for my 32 bit MiFlash.
I will provide screenshot ASAP.
Guys whoever flashed using MI Flash Tool in EDL mode. Can you guys tell me if it will erase/wipe internal storage also or just system and data partitions only.
Please help ASAP. Thanks

Redmi 3s - stuck at boot screen and only fastboot is possible now.

hi y'all
i tried to flash my redmi 3s with a official dev rom today but unfortunatelly it seems that I messed things up.
My phone's bootloader wasn't unlocked so I tried the method for locked bootloaders using miflash and getting the phone into download mode. I got all the drivers installed (at least I think so) on Win 10 64 bit (driver signature verification is disabled).
While trying to flash using MiFlash I got at approx. 20% the error message "MiFlash Error "0x80070008 max buffer sector is 256". After that, my phone didn't boot anymore. All I'm seeing is the white Mi-icon.
I also noticed that It's not possible anymore to turn the device off. When I try, it turns on by itself and is stuck at the boot screen.
Download mode isn't working either. I tried the button-combination (Vol+ and -) and the "fastboot oem edl" command from Win command prompt when the phone is in fastboot mode - which does working.
When entering "fastboot oem edl" command I only get "waiting for any device" and nothing happens.
Is there any way to unbrick my phone or can I only use it as a paperweight from now on?
I hope yomebody can help.
Thanks & regards
Connect to your computer and try the power+volume(+)+volume(-)

Thanks for the fast response. I tried this while my phone was connected to my pc. Now I see this on my phone:
http://www.techgrapple.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Unlock-Redmi-Note-3-Bootloader.jpg
and at the bottom it says pcsuite.mi.com.
When I take a look in the Windows device manager it says "Android Phone / Android ADB Interface".
Am I really in download mode now?
regards
Hi, because of that error you got installing new ROM you cant boot your phone anymore. As that happened to me before i might help you.
First, make sure you hold long enought power+VOL- buttons. Hold them for good one minute, you should be able to go into fastboot mode. Fast Boot worked for me when my Redmi had softbrick, also something messed up installing ROM.
Let me know how it goes.

You should now download MI flash program, and try to flash your device trough it. You can find tutorials on youtube.( just make sure you have lastest drivers installed.

And also have you followed the steps? Like have you installed the unsigned drivers for mi flash? To flash using mi flash tool you will need to have your to disable driver signature enforcement, there is a way to disable it with cmd, I recommend you to use that method.
And your phone's screen should be totally black when its on download mode, if it's not helping then try going to the recovery mode at first, (volume(+)+power, then from the built in recovery miui go to the download mode, hope this helps, i use redmi 3 pro, same happened to me the first time

When I press Power and Vol+ the phone is simply rebooting. There isn't no Recovery screen.
I noticed, when installing a Version of miflash, a Tutorial said that there are three Popups which ask me if I really want to install an unsigned driver. I always only got 2 of these popups when installing miflash. Is there a way to install all drivers manually?
This got to be some kind of driver issue. I tried connecting the phone on another System (win7, 32bit) in fastboot mode. Here, when in enter fastboot OEM edl, the screen Gies black and the Windows device manager Shows COM3 Qualcomm...
It just ain't working on Win10
I got it now. I messed around in the windows device manager (unsinstalled the android / adb /...devices), reinstalled the drivers. Then, in fastboot mode, I executed the fastboot oem edl command and I got into download mode. From here I had to use the older version of MiFlash (2016.04.01.0 64bit). The newest version always gave me the error "specified cast is not valid" when I clicked the refresh button. Seems to be buggy as hell but the older version of Miflash worked as a charm.
Now, my bootloader is unlocked and I'm rockin the newest global version of official MIUI.

Fastboot automatically exits in 17 seconds in Redmi Note 4

Folks I've a Redmi Note 4 running on miui 8.2.10.0 , I've got the unlocking permissions 2 months ago and I've enabled oem unlocking and USB debugging but whenever I go in fastboot mode, it automatically exits it in 17 seconds, Please help me folks
Folks of anyone has any ideas, it would be great, cause I don't have any leads, please help me brothers
Sorry for late reply, your problem probably is usb driver. I recomend you downloading 15 sec adb installer. Maybe your unlock wasn't completed, you have driver.exe file in miunlock folder.
Okay I scoured the internet for answers but didn't find any so I'm telling how I stayed in fastboot mode, just install mi PC suite and connect you Xiaomi device and wait 5 minutes and disconnect and go to fastboot mode and connect again then it shall stay in fastboot mode.
Okay now I'm stuck at 99% , it says "current account is not bound to this device" I've done everything, I logged out and logged in again, in the status I clicked on add account and device, but still no luck.
Although I got permission 2 months ago, I don't know if it matters or not, but I had to mention, so guys help me out
Same identical problem with RN7, have you solved? Kinda late, I know
I fixed it with this https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachments/howto_driver-zip.2480396/

So does your PC have a Ryzen processor? And does it have only USB3 ports? If the answer to any of those questions is yes, that's your problem. Get a 4 port USB 2 hub and connect thru that. Use an Intel processor PC. Elle find an AMD PC that doesn't have a Ryzen processor.

Points to ponder to unlock bootloader of Poco F1
1) After taking permission from developer option>Mi unlcok status; wait for minimum 3 days.
2) Desable driver signature in windows 10 before installing any driver.
3) Check in the device manger that the android bootloader driver must be from Xiaomi inc.
4) Turn off any antivirus including Window defender if any in your PC
5) While in fastboot mode update the driver manually to save .inf file. This is must. If you fail to save .inf file for drivers then the drivers are not installed properly even if your phone shows in device manager. Remember that.
6) Now your are good to go.
Keeping MIUI account "signed in" ;MI cloud showing only one device i.e. Poco F1 and find device must be ON before trying to unlock bootloader.

Unlocking the bootloader on Xiaomi Poco C40

Greetings. I've had a very painful week trying to unlock the bootloader of my Poco C40, I waited a week for the wait to finish so I can unlock it and when it was done I thought it was going to be smooth sailing from now on.
However, for some reason whenever I try to unlock it, it goes up to 50% and gets an error saying it couldn't verify my device and get info, and that I should connect it again.
I didn't know what it meant by connect again, so I tried reconnecting the USB cable (different ports, cables, etc...), re-adding my account for unlocking. Yet, neither of those options seem to have fixed the problem.
If you have some advice that you could give and it would be greatly appreciated.
Hi MitsuhashiIcy, Soory to say but Mi unlock works only with Qualcomm and Mediatek socs. And you have CHIPSET JLQ JR510 which is worse than Mediatek.
But still you can give try. I think by following the above instruction you can unlock the Bootloader :-
DOWNLOAD Xiaomi Poco C40 USB Drivers.
DOWNLOAD Mi Unlock Tool.
DOWNLOAD Xiaomi Poco C40 fastboot drivers.
FIRST DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL AVOBE FILES FIRST.
Step 1: Enable The Developer Option and OEM UnlockStep 2: Time To Link Your Xiaomi Poco C40 with Mi AccountStep 3: Final Step: Unlocking Bootloader on Xiaomi Poco C40 # Boot Xiaomi Poco C40 into Fastboot mode.
# Grab the original cable of your smartphone and then connect it to your PC while in fastboot mode.
# If you have downloaded the Mi Unlock tool from the above pre-requisites section, then simply just extract the zip file and then run the miflash_unlock.exe file.
# Also, proceed with logging into your Mi Account on the unlock tool with the right credentials.
# When you get successfully logged in to your Mi Account, the tool will begin to verify whether your phone is eligible for unlocking bootloader.
# After your phone gets verified, you will see the status on the tool displaying "Phone Connected".
# Now, just click on the "Unlock" button available on the tool interface to start the unlocking bootloader process.
# Once, you click the button, It will prompt a warning message, where you just need to ignore and click on the "Unlock Anyway" button.
# When the process gets complete, you will be served with a message displaying "Unlocked Successfully".
# At last, click on the button, so that your phone boots up in the unlocked bootloader state.
That's it... YOU CAN GIVE A TRY.

Thank you for the reply, I'm sorry I couldn't reply earlier as it was already late for me.
I have tried installing the adb drivers first through the adb-setup exe file, however, when I try to install it, it says that access was denied.
I decided to ignore it for now and go to the Mi Unlock tool that you've linked, I noticed it was a really old version but nonetheless I went with it. The first thing I noticed was how slow the sign in page was, I had to log in via qr scanner through another device because I couldn't manually put in my credentials.
After that I managed to sign in, but instead of directly taking me to the screen where it tells me to boot my phone to fastboot mode and connect it to my pc and all that stuff, it took me to this screen showing my phone number and email (which I've censored). I haven't found a way around this screen to get me to where I want to be.
Suppose I'm on my own once again.
I seem to have managed to unlock the bootloader for my Poco C40 with the official Mi Unlock tool using version 7.6.602.42, so if anyone wants to know whether or not it is possible to unlock Poco C40's bootloader with Mi Unlock, now you know.
