Poco F1 vs MI A2 - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

Hey,
i'm thinking of buying one of those two mentioned, but can't really decide. There are few things i would like to know from owners.
1) Poco F1 in hands feel. Some people say it's kinda cheap like feeling and other that it's elegant. Your personal feelings?
2) Audio quality (mostly headphones)
3) Is software buggy? and how much buggy it is
4) Is SD 845 truly worth it in comparison to SD 660?
If you have any other personal opinions, please leave them below!
Thanks a lot!

Looking for a phone for my girlfriend

Hello!
I'm looking for a new phone for my girlfriend. She wanted to buy a Xiaomi Mi5s since she liked the gold design and the photos of my Xiaomi Mi4c but, I would like to know your opinion about it to ensure that there is no better option on the market right now...
The most important important things from a phone for she are:
- Good frontal and rear camera
- 5" screen (more or less)
- Good disk room and cool design
Her budget is around 300€, but, since 11/11 and Black Friday are aproaching, maybe she can afford something that is a bit more expensive right now...
Could you help me, please?
Thank you so much!
Moto Z play is best deal as of now

Help me decide between this and OnePlus 6t

Hi poco users, recently I was using a Samsung S8 but selled it due to how frustrating I find the knox and troubles to rooting, since then I'm looking for my new device and was almost sure on getting the OnePlus 6T as they keep almost stock android and don't void your warranty due to rooting, then the poco F1 released and seems to be a tempting alternative but I had a lot of Xiaomi device and I sincerily hate MIUI, so my question is, does the modified MIUI that the poco have gets annoying or due weird thing like normal MIUI does?, also any extra things to have in mind that you could tell me that differenciates this from a true flagship?
Thanks to everyone and srry for my spelling and syntax

6t has no headphone jack and smaller battery and sd card support but has better screen and better build quality and better camera both will have custom roms so miui won't be an issue so i guess its a matter if you are willing to pay extra cash for the oneplus or not since poco is much cheaper

Poco f1 is a good device, best in its price. Performance and battery are on point. But if money is not the issue, go with 6t. Period.
Amoled and oxygen os are enough reasons to buy 6t, if not to mention the better cameras, warp charge, premium build, healthy custom rom development, faster oem updates, open betas and things can go on......

I don't really care about the jack as I can use an adapter and for the sd I dont need more than 128 or even 64gb, my principal doubt about the poco is I never liked MIUI UI and totally hate the way it manages the memory as I have loss messages not only from Whatsapp but work mails too, also I love the aesthetics of the stock android

Yeah, I had the nexus 5 and nexus 6 and really miss that much of community support, thats one of my top features for the 6t (I think is like the new nexus due to the price range)

[Poll] How long are we going to use our beloved POCO?

Hi friends,
Just looking at the sheer number of custom ROMs for this device people are going crazy over our POCO F1. I believe this thread will definitely help others in one way or the other to shed some more light while making a buying decision.
I'm poor so I'm gonna use it until it's unusable lol. But seriously I'd say about 3-4 years because I think it's a very future proof phone.
Honestly, I think I will be using my Poco F1 till Poco F3 Arrives (I won't buy Poco F2).
I can suggest another choice in the poll : as long as there is developers support!

When Mi 9 gets reasonable price. I can't stand this mediocre LCD
4 years
Come on frnds vote fast!
..and whts this, not evn a single like to the thread?
I will probably go for a year, i do like to chamge phones a lot but i like this one and amoled screens have much bigger defect probabilities and burn eyes. Poco covers many good points and support on xda is awesome so it will hardly get borring
as long as the next one has the basics i want in a phone
1. up-to-date SOC,, sd 855
2. SD CARD SLOT is a must (for that is where i save my media files to avoid repeated copying due to frequent flashing of phones)
3. 128gb internals
4. headphone jack
i dont care if its still IPS LCD or what... as long as those 4 are present.. particularly the number 2..
I just got mine this week... I'm planning to keep it for a very very long time.

Eh until the s10+ drops in price maybe 2 to 3 years.
Until the custom rom development slows down
Of course its a long term phone.
i think, If the notch has already been implemented, instead of hiding it, it should b used to user's advantage. Hiding it isnt gonna save battery either coz its not amoled. Many users including me would love to hv double network signal icon of dual sims (stock implementation) on custom roms too. Everythng else is manageable.
Got a s10 but keeping the poco as back up phone
Holding onto this phone makes me realize I miss amoled so much the hdr on the pocophone makes me want to vomit it looks like melted crayons.
Waiting for Black shark's arrival in India
until 5g stable enought
Wow! So many users are looking to use poco for long term. However, I think with the launch if RMN 7 Pro, poco sales might suffer.

What phone to get after Poco F1?

I'm a Pocophone F1 user since launch, it was a so hyped phone and I don't regret the purchase. Poco as a concept was great at all, a "flagship killer" phone with a top processor such as the Snapdragon 845, outstanding battery and amazing performance for a small price. The only flaw IMO is the screen: a non AMOLED screen with a huge notch on it (and touch issues who can be fixed with a custom kernel), but nothing else.
But with Poco F1 meeting it's EOL, and my phone having battery and screen issues, I think it's time to think about getting a new phone. So, what options do you recommend? The only thing I want is performance and good audio (3,5 jack with a good DAC), and a good screen. I don't care much about cameras.
Thanks in advance, and sorry if this don't belong here.
Dude I'm in the same exact boat. I'm looking at a Poco X3. it's not really about what you can afford it's about why you should afford it and The Sweet spot money wise seems to be there for my needs. I'll trade you a question for a question though do you have any idea about how to get the Poco F1 to see things larger than 256 GB and it's micro SD card without forgetting the data cuz it has a tendency to do afterwards I learned that the hard way randomly small little files will continue to just not exist anymore... And I tried it with several different brands of 512 GB micro SD cards and I didn't just grab cheap ones off of the random mail order. And yes I did try to format them in different file systems however that wasn't as well liked by the phone
Hi guys, I've had the Poco F1 since it came on the market and I'm now thinking of buying something newer.
For me there are not many requirements, but they are still very difficult to find in a device.
1. a good camera
2. micro SD
I don't need an AMOLED display or the latest processor.
Good cameras are almost only found in the Higend devices.
But they usually don't have a micro SD and are much too expensive.
I've already read some reviews of the Poco X3, but I'm not sure how good the camera actually is compared to the Poco F1. I was always very satisfied with the camera of the Poco F1 and therefore my new device should definitely not have a worse camera.
Well in all honesty I would advise buying a Xiaomi 10T Lite if possible, it's in that price range kinda, the camera is good (from what I heard, haven't seen for myself). With it you also get a 120hz screen, so it is an upgrade in a way. Its your choice in the end so do as you wish.

Question Out of the loop: Considering Oneplus Nord 2 for my wife, thoughts?

So I am considering getting a Oneplus Nord 2 which I figured just came out this month, right?
I myself have a 7T 128Gb which I really love. Only thing is its head heavyness due to the camera.
My wife just wants a better cam than her Huawei P90 lite and more storage space. Other than that I think she is not such a nerd like me
Anyways: I have been shocked about the fact that there are som many new Oneplus phones out there these days! And reading through all the specs man, I gotta tell you it kills me. It just doesn't tell my anything.
So my question would be: Is the Nord 2 a great buy for 399 € if my wife needs a very nice cam and lots of space? She would also need a safe case, she drops her phones A LOT!
I read some beef here about Oneplus quality and all...
Thanks for your thoughts!
One plus nord 2 came out in july last year...
And if you consider buying it: just... just don't. It's full of bugs and stock camera sucks big time. You might get better results with gcam but still... unacceptable.
Performance and battery life is good though...

Unless you really consider the price aspect, then yes, the Nord 2 can be a nice choice, but you might have to work on it a little to install a custom ROM and fine tune a few things up before being able to get the best of it.
One the other hand, I might suggest getting a OnePlus 9 Pro (its price is decreasing quite often since the OnePlus 10 Pro release) if you want a really nice camera setup and overall specs.
And if you want to split the pear in half, maybe considering a OnePlus Nord 2T 5G in its 12Go RAM/256Go ROM configuration could be the best affordable choice (529€, else, the base storage/RAM capacity is at 429€, but you'll get a better camera setup than the Nord 2).
