I'm using SwiftKey keyboard. I didn't face any issues. Been using it from 3 days

Tried both swiftkey and fleksy both are kind of laggy :/
I have the same bug and are some many people with this issue.
To test, try typing some words on the keyboard on the extreme of screen, like "que", it shows uqe or something else, the keyboard can't recognize fastly typing words.
I tried all the fixes posibles, used gboard and switft. The same problem.

Exactly thats the issue
But iam able to type que fast?
same problem. if the speed is fast it is unable to recognise which alphabet was pressed first.

I had been writing about these issues but people have insulted me.
This is indeed a touch related problem, a lag in touch.
Since the touch digitizer responds to touches very late, fast typing confuses the device as to which letter was typed first. This is really funny that a device with SD845 is not even capable of recognizing what input came first.
This problem is also related to the multitouch issue.

I dont feel so that its a hardware problem cuz whenever unopen a touch tester app and use two or three fingers simultaneously very fast there are no such issues it just comes with the keyboard may be itll be fixed in the next ota xiaomi has always been buggy in the first few weeks lets give some more time

i was afraid my friend made fun of me to calm down and was telling me that i am overthinking the phone is fine. I thought i was the only one with this issue ?
and yes the right side of the keyboard is slower like words like "P" try to type PR it will show rp in high speeds.
Dont have this issue, currently running miui10 dev
No problem for me on gboard and "que" test. It's perfect. Also "pr" test is fine, passed!

I found a little way to make the keyboard better go to setting language and input gboard reduce the long press delay to 170ms. and I don't know how it gets better.

Did you guys enable full screen gestures?
Try switch back to buttons? And see if the problem persists?
Make sure you guys disable slide three fingers down screenshot too
I think this gestures are causing some issues...
If I'm correct then disable full screen gestures should solve Q&P bug...
If the problem still persists then sorry.... Let's wait for the fix update...???

It is a comparation between my honor 9 and my moto x 2014 regarding display sensitivity
In the first comparation it's shown how badly the sensitivity of the touch is calibrated when small movements are made. The red circle on the honor 9 doesn't move
In the second comparation it's shown a swipe issue. If you look with attention you will notice that the last millimeters of a swipe are executed with delay. Infact you will see the red circle moving even though the finger is stopped
I'm using Android nougat b180.

I have this issue and I always thought I was imagining the delay, thanks for demonstrating it in the video. This is one of the biggest problems for me as the phone is great in every other aspect

please try to disable glove mode in display settings, i had the issues when this feature was turned on.

I agree with you, that's terrible. But I have to admit, without your post and without using multi touch tester, I didn't know my phone had this problem.
Usually I'm careful with the touch screen (cause old bad experiences) but this time in the daily usage I didn't notice it.
I hope that honor fixes this problem because for such a phone it's embarrassing, but anyway I continue to use the phone without any very big problem.

It is still present in oreo. I know It is not a big problem for daily use but try to play some game like Shadow gun, then play in another smartphone. You will see an huge difference

I tried through hiCare app. They told me that there is no problem with touch and that the video is not attendible beacause it is used a third party app. Moreover they said that mine was the only report about it so they will not consider it

just sold my honor 9...
Just activated gloves mode on my brand new Honor 9 on B150 Firmware and it helped a lot with responsivenes.

Either the touch-driver is crappy or meanwhile i got hallucinations. :silly:
But there is also more strange touch-behaviour:
If i scroll large lists in google news with repearted short swipes, the device stops within the list and changes scrolling direction. Looks like hitting a rubberband . This could be an issue of the touch driver or maybe a problem of emui.
Is there anybody using the early lineageos or Resurrection Remix who has also touch problems?

nope really..i updated to b180..its working without any issue..
Now updated to B180. I my opinion the (latency) issue still exists.
My poco f1 is going to be delivered today but I am thinking to reject it at the time of delivery because I have seen a lot of threads and videos talking about this touch latency issue while using keyboard and playing games like pubg . I don't want to waste my time in Flipkart replacement policies. Kindly tell me how many of you are having the problem

My poco is perfect im in the uk I ordered from China, no worries
I'm in France and I've just noticed a bug : when I type "me" for example, quite quickly, it's going to register "em" whereas I'm 100% sure that I press on "m" first. And it's true with all the letters on the right. Luckily I still have 10 days to send it back so if there's no fix I might do it. It's quite frustrating when typing.

Just tried, no problem.
Mine is Pocophone, so global variant, didn't notice any problems with touch response or display bleeding.

Mine is Indian variant and no such bugs noticed. bought it in first sale
There is a minor touch screen issue. Its not noticable in normal usage except for some scrolling unevenness but if you are gaming then you are going to be affected big time.

I did the research read all the threads made. Xda Mi forums everything.
Tested Both of the Miui9 versions and now the Miui10 global beta.
For me
Pubg works fine. Although people are having issue with Pubg too. ( touch wise)
Now there are not one. but two touch issue with keyboard.
People tend to confuse in between both.
Scenario 1 - I am typing something the keyboard suddenly disappeares and phone take the multitouch as a swipe up hence takes to home. ( FULL SCREEN GESTURES ENABLED. )
So people giving temporary fix as disabling gestures this is what it is.
Scenario 2 - The order of the alphabets typed. If i type fast The order of the alphabets are not right .
Happened with all the 3 versions of the miui rom ( 2 of miui9 and 1 of miui10 )
Typing pr pr pr fastly shows up to be rp pr rp rp rp pr pr
and que que que que que que que ( this que issue is not here on miui10 but was uqe uqe que on miui9 )
So the order issue Exists to the right side of the display for alphabets like "p" and "l"
rp pr pr rp pr pr rp pr rp
rl lr lr lr lr rl lr lr lr lr
I tried scrolling instagram feed from the left side of the display
centre of the display and from the right side of the display
On Miui9 Centre one was faster and smoother while from left and right it was slower.
Now on Miui10
Left and Centre is fine
Right side is still slower.
So keyboard issues are basically these two
1- Multitouch
2- Touch Sensitivity on the right side of the display.
I request the poco team and the Miui Developers to kindly have a look and the people to confirm this bug..

My unit is from China, purchased in Italy. I maked all possible tries, no problem for me. Poco works amazing, touch is perfect.
I really hope its not a hardware issue.
I would be pissed if they dont fix it in software and i have to refund it

It's not hardware issue, just change long press duration to 170ms in keyboard setting, voila your problem will be solved.
P. S. Fixed this issue in both miui 9 & 10 by doing this.

The thing i find worrying is that it doesn't happen to everyone and also it depends on the area on the screen, so it sounds more like hardware imo. Maybe they can help it with software but it's not even sure...

Does anyone have this issue? This can affect in gaming... Like when I am using 4 finger claw in pubg. All most every time, i cant move my camera.
If anyone want to check this issue, download touch screen test app.. When u input 2 finger, the touch is solid...but when 3rd input comes... Its like fading away. Its like i am not touching it at all.
Anyone have any fix?? This is so problematic.

I have the same problem with my POCO. In my previous cell phone, I played PUBG with triggers, but in this cell I can not move, aim and shoot at the same time. I think it's because of the same problem as the toch.
I did the same test with the program and there if you recognize all the touches of the screen in the same way.

Yeah u can see after 2 inputs on same times, third or fourth are fading away. Its really so annoying. Dont know how to fix

It's either ROM/kernel issue, mine was working perfectly with triggers in AICP but broke in MSM-Xtended, didn't work in most of the custom kernel, but it's working on canting kernel (if you okay to test yourself)

Has anyone here noticed touch issues in certain sections like the google feed? The phone starts detecting touches while I am swiping up normally. This happens in Boost for Reddit too. This is becoming a massive nuisance for me. It does not happen everywhere.

Not sure if this can be considered a ghost touch issue. Let's say I am swiping up on google feed, the phone instead of scrolling through my feed will open an article instead. It will register a click instead of a swipe action. I have enabled the "Show touches" option in developer settings and I can see that the phone screen is detecting a swipe, but the software is registering it as a tap.
Another issue is that my phones randomly stops reading my fingerprints.
I may have received a lemon.

I am using a note 7 pro tempered glass for my g8x. I was wondering if that's causing this issue.
I called LG service center today, he asked me to factory reset but no luck after that too. He asked me to get software updated from LG service center if problem isn't solved through factory reset. But i guess even that wont solve problem considering this factory reset experience. Seems their latest software is buggy or its hardware issue. Donno what to do should i replace product
I mean seriously this was their last year flagship n this irritating issue they have
Cant understand if they cant deliver good software then why dont they simply provide bootloader unlocking so that users can have custom roms. :X

I am using a different one. So thats not the issue...
I too experience the same issue. I had this issue without tempered glass and also with tempered glass from panthershieldz applied. We better try to root the device and install a different cfw to check it.

I am just clicking on the Right side of a story and it sends me to the previous Story... And this is happening with much other applications too,... It's registering swipe instead of clicks
I have 2 devices, and I haven't encountered any such issues on either of them. Did you update the software on your devices OTA?

Can u tell software build number u have currently installed?
Hey guys. I think I figured it out. I am guessing most of us facing this issue are using gestures for navigation.
I put navigation buttons back and the issue stopped. Then I again activated gestures and reduced sensitivity. And issue is still not there. Again I increased sensitivity and still issue is not there. I am guessing it is a bug in gesture controls. Pls check and see guys.
If you guys still have the issue, then the other things I have done is a factory reset and a debloat of the OS.
I doubt these are the reason for fix though.
Phone now finally feels like a flagship after getting this resolved :good:

I am also noticing low FPS while using this phone. Is this why they sold it for so cheap? Because the phone is plagued with issues?

I suspected the gestures to be the problem and I tried disabling them, but it didn't help. I will factory reset it and check again.

Yes, they were. I bought them on the second sale day-at Rs. 22,000. Haven't had any issues in either of them.

I reset my phone and then removed all the bloatware as you did. The phone seemed to work well for a while but started acting up after a few hours. I did reduce the animation times to .5x though, not sure if that has anything to do with it, disabling them didn't fix it.

Try reducing the gesture sensitivity. I have animations at 1x.
Sometimes the issue does pop up. But very rarely.
