Main goal of this kernel is simplicity, I don't have any plans to add anything extra.

The lineage-15.1 branch of my kernel works well enough for lineage-based ROMs at the moment but further development is currently on hold. (lineage-16.0 branch currently has broken wifi).
We're working on bringing up lineage 16.0 at the moment which takes up the free time I get to work on this. After we've completed that, I also need to address outstanding issues with PowerHAL usage.

Whoaa new kernel for our beloved U11
It's great to see devs around this forgotten and very underrated phone
Edit : Wifi is not working on latest stock oreo, installed kernel + modules (tried magisk 17.1 and 17.3)

I'm sure you're aware of it, but kernel breaks wifi on RR.
I know it's not for AOSP based roms, just thought I'd mention it. Everything else seems fine.

Awesome bro can we install on aosp 9 ?? Or only Oreo for now

Hope u can continue ur kernel. Beacause it very stable.... I try all custom rom. Custom kernel... Have the problem set value config cpu (AKT,...) not working-when touching to display min and big core run at 9xx mhz and higher. Only your kernel resolve this problem. ...
.
And bug with resolve ur kernel : break wifi- module not working.
For those who use module fix but not fix wifi (like me) do step by step.
- Replace all file from system/etc/lib of module to ur system device.
Copy file "qca_cld3_wlan.ko" to system/vendor/lib . then reboot. Hope it working on ur device.

I use this kernel source for my recent slim builds already (with a few changes to the defconfig for wifi/exfat)

SD card won't mount. Even formatting the SD card still won't work for me. This seems to be an issue alot for me. Going back to stock kernel SDcard works.

Negative, all formats do not work. Like I said, works fine with the stock kernel. Re formatted in TWRP with any format and it will not mount. Stock kernel it works just fine. I have issues with some other AOSP ROM's where it will not mount either.

@tomascus Hey there
Just wondering if this project is already dead ? I really hope that you manage to solve broken WI-FI issue. I can help with testing if you need.
Keep being amazing and thanks for this awesome work

Well as far as I know drivers & magisk modules don't go hand to hand very well and this confirms what I thought. I just made a simple flashable zip with system installation of kernel modules and I got my wifi working, so maybe consider adding that option next time :fingers-crossed: I will attach the zip below maybe this can help someone.
And have a great day

Thank you so much for the hard work and answering my previous questions. I'll definitely be flashing this and reporting back tomorrow. Question: if I'm on the latest cm12 build currently, can i just flash the new TWRP through Odin over the CWM recovery for the Sport? Or is it required to flash back to the stock firmware?

OK. Thank you very much for the quick replies. I'll flash tomorrow when I get back from school.
Been working great all day. Haven't hit any bugs and doze is really helping battery life! Thanks again @1991mustang50 for this and TWRP. Will say that TWRP is slow to take a stock backup (not as slow as the CWM we had prior), but it may be because TouchWiz is so heavy. Either way, thanks again. I know the guys that still use this phone daily really appreciate it and so do us that just use it as a toy now!
Good job @1991mustang50, it's a shame I had already given up on the phone and sold it

I sold it for $100 to a cousin. It was in a rough condition around the edges and had call quality issues
Having issues getting data or cell service - I can see sprint under network operators, but haven't been able to get the phone connected. Is anyone else having the same issue and/or found a workaround?
I've flashed TWRP and the ROM and I have to say that so far there have been very few issues. TWRP makes backups very quickly compared to the previous CWM. The ROM has calls, data, SMS, and MMS working perfectly. One minor issue is that if you go into settings and click on carrier settings it will not recognize the SIM card and it will continuously crash the phone application until you reboot. It's a minor issue with an easy fix so dont worry too much about it. I tested Bluetooth which isn't in very good shape. Listening to music from my phone on a wireless headset was constantly cutting out. However I understand it's a beta build and Bluetooth shouldn't be a very big problem for me as I can just use the headphone jack. This next problem I don't think is specifically tied to the ROM however I would like if anyone can give me any ideas for. Basically write access on the external SD is not working as usual but all of the previous fixes you could use aren't working anymore. Any ideas or fix for marshmallow? Overall, the ROM is in great condition for such a new release. Doze works beautifully and battery life is even better than the previous CM12.1 build. I'll be using the ROM more to see if I can tell you about any other issues I may encounter. Thanks so much for the great ROM and TWRP. I'll be looking forward to future builds.

[Kernel] [UBER6.3] [GRAPHITE optimizations] Custom kernel for Haruhirom

PS: The anime character "Haruhi Suzumiya" is copyright of its owner
PS: arise fix
Open up a file manager and go to the root folder. You need to have SuperSU installed for this
You'll see a folder called su, go to /su/su.d
In this folder create a text file, label it as "permissive.sh" and put the following code in
Code:
supolicy --live "permissive *"
Then save the file and go to recovery and flash arise and Dolby Atmos addons again and then reboot
It should now work
Stop reading my bs! Here's the download link
https://srv1.botstack.host:8000/oneplus/op2/custom-kernel-for-haruhios-v3.8-STABLE.zip
Or
http://srv1.botstack.host:9000/oneplus/op2/custom-kernel-for-haruhios-v3.8-STABLE.zip
This is a project that started as a kernel for my ROM and that is what it's going to be
It can be flashed on other ROMs too and I will gladly provide support however I can't guarantee results
Do note that this is a "secure" kernel. It has many of the security patches merged from CAF and selinux enforcing is forced with no way to go to permissive
What about v4a?
Get SuperSU and input these lines in a terminal
Code:
supolicy --live "allow mediaserver mediaserver_tmpfs:file { read write execute };
allow audioserver audioserver_tmpfs:file { read write execute };"
Wait for a few seconds, swipe away v4a from the recent apps list and launch it again. It should now work
Why isn't a thermal throttling tweak included inside this kernel?
Well in my usage the kernel is so fast that thermal throttling modifications are not needed. You can apply if you want
Currently known bugs?
Nothing
OMG you're copying boeffla!
Relax. I used boeffla's anykernel base as I was in a hurry and didn't have time to make my own zip. Also, boeffla's anykernel zip is one of the best around trust me
What are the features?
Too lazy to write, check back here in a few days but there are quite a lot of features you're gonna like
I'm a nerd, I support the GPL, I'm gonna take you down because you didn't release the source code and neither did you tell me whose toolchain you used!
Bro you need to take it easy
Toolchain: https://bitbucket.org/mdalexca/aarch64-linux-android-6.x

Seems cool but an enforcing only kernel has its downside for me. I'm not sure if arise works with an enforcing kernel, would love to see a permissive version as well.

Also this is a cm kernel. Expect some general battery drain
That being said, I've really worked hard on wakelocks and doze
Hi got your quote on bens kernel page @anupritaisno1, could you explain me more about this kernel. I guess it will break the focus of my camera due to some new commits, etc as bens kernel v5 had done the same to me. Also, as im using bens RR Rom, will this have any bugs or side affects with that rom (i had flashed boeffla kernel and had to face a lot of problems on his rom such as the xposed modules becoming inactive or not performing after some time, etc.) and last main thing, idle battery drain

Just a note on kernels
I've tested many many kernels on many devices. When they are configured the same, performance/battery is about the same. Any difference was slight enough to be considered noise in the test methods. I always suggest to learn about kernel parameters then tweak it to the way you want. Any kernel will give more performance, or battery life, or anything between - all depends on how you configure it.
Ps - same device, same twrp, supersu instead of magisc, no problems. Except seems not compatible with ex kernel manager - it doesn't apply settings. I believe it doesn't set proper permissions to be able to write. But hey, it's young and a stockish kernel, hope to see more.

Here's a link to GeneticEngineer's AFH-hosted original kernel from the TWRP thread. I don't think he'll mind it being reposted in this thread. This should tide people over until you can iron out the bugs in your build.

A stock based kernel isn't gonna play well with custom ROMs, unless your secondary ROM is a stock ROM? I plan on creating one for cm-14.1+ based ROMs too.

Slight OT is fine, but when users decide to act stupid they should be dealt with with the appropriate means - its really annoying for me when OT turns crazy. Please put the warning/ban hammer anytime any of you think there's lack of respect and/or too much unwanted OT crap - but if it doesn't meet this criteria let the OT posts alone. Thank you.
Cheers!
My FK Kernel Manager app now fully supports this device. You don't have to, but if you purchase it it supports my work and helps pay the bills.
FK Kernel Manager: http://get.franciscofranco.xyz
wow! just in time I've bought a Pocophone, Franco in the house!!!
I miss franco kernels... Now its on poco. Well done
Damn,, finally..
Just a sidenote, this has been tested successfully with both Stock MIUI 10.0.6.0 and LineageOS 16.0. Also tested IR Face Unlock on both and it works flawlessly.
Also FK doesn't touch WiFi in any shape or form, doesn't replace the built-in WiFi module, or touches anything in /system. If you come from other Kernels who replace the WiFi module I would suggest you dirty flash your rom first because FK just tries to use whatever is already there.
The legend is here.. Mantap jiwaa.. ?
Nice! Can someone confirm if it works on Pixel Experience rom?
Yea, using Xiaomi EU Rom latest 8.11.29. Wifi is borked.

If it's LineageOS based it should work. Heck if it works on stock MIUI I'd say it runs on everything.

Same here man. WiFi and hotspot aren't working..
wifi no work and random restart in miui eu 11-29
Nothing I can do about it. What mattered to me is compatibility with stock MIUI and custom roms support without messing with WiFi in any shape or form. Betas aren't really my goal since things change everytime.
It's fine, we're just reporting. Just ignore the beta stuff.
I already updated the OP with a warning "Don't flash on MIUI Pie beta".
wifi doesn't work
just install it to latest xiaomi.eu wifi don't work

[Manning][Oreo][Kernel][Nethunter] Densetsu Kernel

Densetsu Kernel
Hello Guys..
Here I present my new kernel for manning(oreo).
I included some minor tweaks for improved battery life and performance..
Also I added kali Nethunter Support, but since its in beta so some features might not work.
(Dont worry I'll fix them in next build )
/**************************************************************************************************************************************
If you don't know what Kali NetHunter is, well, it's the entire Kali Linux operating system in a chroot on your phone, plus a
bunch of awesome apps for executing exploits, fixing things, doing cool things. It goes on, I suppose.
Find much more information here: https://github.com/offensive-securit...nethunter/wiki
***************************************************************************************************************************************
Installation
Reboot to twrp
Flash the Zip file
Reboot
This will install the Kernel, but you still need to install the chroot if you want to use nethunter.
For that you can follow https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/kali-nethunter-magisk-t3676681
