hey there i want to know whether it is possible to add stock mi faceunlock in other custom ROM because the dependence required for stock faceunlock can be installed and also the kernel sources are available so what do you guys think can we do it
Kernel source doesn't include face unlock imho.

Can anyone give me a link for stable version of firmware that can be used with Nougat roms. ?
I have tried CM 14 firmware by Strix and by abhishek, both lock my bootloader.
Tried firmware by Saurav but the WiFi and RIL breaks.

Update to latest MIUI 8 dev or stable is okay. I prefer dev. Use MiFlash for this.
Unlock bootloader officially via MI Unlocker.
Flash whatever you want (LOS 14.1, NOS, RR, etc.). No firmware needed anymore.

I know IR camera sources are closed with xiaomi hence we cannot have IR camera(Face Detection)to work with AOSP/LOS roms. My question is is it possible for us to request xiaomi or anyone incharge so that we could get that source code and get IR cam to work with custom roms!!

I'm thinking about buying a Poco F1 for doing some tests. I need to be able to install xprivacylua, so I'm thinking about staying in OREO with some custom rom based on AOSP.
Has anyone tried install xprivacylua on any custom rom?
If so, which ROM? Was it Oreo, or did you use edXposed?

Rooted my poco recently and installed Lineage OS 16 along with Franco kernel and micro Gapps. It's running on Andriod 9. There's no option for face unlock in smart lock. Could really use some help in bringing it back.

Afaik Xiaomi does not allow community ROMs to use their face unlock technology. Therefore it's not available in any custom ROMs

Its working in any bank . U have issue if u root it. Just use magisk hide feature. Custom rom is free from bloatware
