hello...
ive noticed the z2 to be a bit on the quite side (both loudspeaker and headset) while playin music...
is there some kind of mod that perhaps make it a bit more audible (like samsung's mod that is available here in the forums)?
this issue is breaking the deal with me buying this phone...otherwire its a great phone !
so far the things that I have read on these forums that work well to make it louder are:
1) Turn on Dynamic normalizer in the sound settings
2) Go into sound enhancements and set all the equalizer sliders to 10
3) Proceed to the "settings" next to the equalizer and turn on xLoud and (personal taste) turn on S-force Surround
Clear phase lowers the volume although it does make it cleaner.
Which device are you coming from? Its the second loudest device there is, right after the M8!
No other device has dual front facing stereo speakers.

There's a new mod in the development forum which enables dual speakers for ringtones and loud speaker on calls. I think the guy is also making tweaks for volume.

i am coming from a galaxy note 3...and it definetely sounds abit louder ! I have applied a tweak also available here in the forums that made it sound SO EPIC on headphones

whoa...thanks !!
You can turn off Clear Audio as well to make it louder but the sound quality will go down. Just toggle it when you're listening to music or videos.

i couldnt post in the original thread because of the post limit i am forced to make a new thread here.
The mod doesnt raises the volume when using the noise cancelling headphones from sony that were shipped. When i diable the NC everything is fine and loud ...
Would be nice if i could directly reply to the thread .....

its a safety thing
the NC headphones are quiet because with volume past the limit you will do serious damage to your ears with NC on, its why they are louder with NC off

Single. But thank god it's front facing. The bottom grill houses the speaker. And it's plenty loud.
I hope it will have the stereo mod when it can root in the future.

Definitely. It's very simple. In the near future, a developer simply needs to add audio output via the earpiece to make it stereo dual loudspeaker.
I'm an ex owner of the Sony Xperia Z Ultra which also had a single speaker. There were several mods that were made to enable sound output via the earpiece and the dual stereo speakers were great!
Just need patience...

Well, do not believe all you listen/read on internet also if somehow they are right. The device has stereo speaker but software configuration doesn't allow to use it in "stereo mode". Hopefully SONY will release a "stereo" patch with the next Android Version (M) OR... some Xposed guys will release a mod to use it stereo, it shouldn't be that hard... it's just about mapping the bottom speaker as R and upper speaker as L...

Definitely. We'll get double the sound and true stereo left and right. It'll sound wicked when playing movies and games...
So anyone knows something about possibility to use two speakers?

I highly doubt it. Looks like we'll have to wait for a developer to make a custom sound mod in which we can flash via recovery to enable louder sound & stereo speakers...

Hello everyone !
I noticed that my Mate 10 (ALP-L29) does "white noise" when i hear voices at low volume with earbuds but it doesn't when i use my headphones. I read that there is some sound mods with magisk to solve this issue but i was wondering if there is an other way because i can't root my phone at the moment due to my firmware version [8.0.0.138(C636patch01)]. If the issue comes from my earbuds i can buy others but i'd like to have feedbacks from the community . :highfive:

Hello Everyone, has anyone found a solution to get proper bass and sound quality through headphone?
[Realme did not fix it in Andriod 10 , sound quality via headphones remains same ]
By proper i mean the sound production via headphone jack is not accurate there is literally no bass...
At the moment i have disabled "Dolby Atmos" because it makes audio quality unpleasant and inaccurate...
[I was really hoping that they will fix this issue in Andriod 10 update but sadly they didnt ]
Still hoping for fix from Realme but if anyone of you have found a way to make it sound normal please share with us Thanks

I dont know i guess all versions have bad sound also gsmarena review also mentions that the volume is below average and frequency response is bad which is true.
