I have asked about it and waiting for the reply. But from my own perspective, I believe they will support that. With twrp or with official recovery.

I wish it s true and we can flash the official international rom in the chinese variant! In an question i ve made at oppo support center for flashing the international rom they asked me for the imei of the device which means that they didn t reject or deny to flash it having my language! Since i have no imei yet cause i orderd from geekbuying and probably have it in this week i did not answer back! After all that, i understand that they are fixing a solution for regions probably by unlocking the phone with the way we red on the weibo article which means that they will give thw option to flash the rom for eaxh region! I think we are to close for official solution!

Yes, if this is legit I suspect this person has a way to unlock the bootloader of the Oppo Find X.
maybe similar to Xiaomi devices? these can be unlocked by a requested unlock code, but also with a so called deep flash cable. (fastboot is also default disabled) google xiaomi fastboot cable for more info. (I used xiaomi note 3 pro and mi5s before)
A TWRP image would be pretty useless if he has bootloader still locked..

Haha and here I am waiting for the unlocking of the bootloader to get rid of the built in google stuff and replace it with opensource alternatives like MicroG. (not to be confused with the flashable google packages)

Hi,
You need an image(flash files) which came with RM8**_**w**_prod_generic_*****_flash.bat and then rename "VdsEmmcTool v1600.02.exe" to the right filename for the batch file.
eg. RM801_12w07_prod_generic_vdsemmctool.exe

This one as same as QPST let you flash only firmware into L710 in Qualcomm mode aka unlocked bootloader.

With QPST You can flash on few different ways. Main firmware, languages, user contents and bootloader but only in Qualcomm mode.

currently the single popular method it seem ... nss
guys still theres confusion in my mind..becuase i have got a lumia 800 with DLOAD on it..can i use this thing to do a full unlock& flash custom ROMs??
Got time to find out some links from their resource xml and have been able to extract a working link to download B192 update. Being a software developer I'm able to do this but not sure which one to install and do not want to brick !

I've read somewhere that Face Unlock is coming with Oreo ! So, I assume it was an Oreo update. Dont know if this is not the case.
I wouldn't recommend flashing this, but if anyone wants to try for the heck of it, try the first one. And you won't be able to update after flashing this.
This isn't oreo update, oreo will be released in May

That's for the Germany Variant ( I'm mean the International Variant ) Luckily, we in India have the Chinese Variant ( BND-AL10) which should receive updates far before the International Variant.Thats what even xda authors said in their post about Honor 7x Face Unlock Update .
I contacted Honor team on Twitter and they confirmed that face unlock update is a china exclusive update right now and will be released for remaining regions soon.
I hope they release It before the end of this month atleast

Brother go with the 200mb update, don't flash that 700mb file(coz its full rom without gaps). Just flash that 200 MB update n it will definitely work.

It's not oreo & How do the network radios function? maybe Brick?
As far as I know, there is no oreo update for Honor 7x irrespective of the region and variant but I heard that there is a recent update that enabled face unlock and some other improvements were made too. Although the indian variant carries the same BND AL 10 model number, there was no update at all so it was meant for the Chinese variant.
However, I don't know how the china and India phones are different except for the language. I'm curious to know if any honor 7x stock rom is compatible and can be flashed on to any honor 7x variant? Ex: Flashing Europe or china on to indian or vice versa, you get the idea!! I'm not sure how the network radios behave and who knows it bricks the device??

Brushing is equivalent of flashing, but for Chinese people. In other word, brushing means flashing, but in Chinese.

I have a some mixed news, good and also bad.
The good news is, the "system.new.dat.br" file is indeed Android P.
But the bad news is, the person who made the ZIP, doesn't know how to port Treble ROM.
He just copy-pasted the Full fastboot image of Pixel 2 XL, which contain the file of the fastboot & bootloader for Pixel 2 XL only to run those and also android on it. Which will brick our phone.
Also, he messed up with the scripts.
So, I recommend to ignore all of @IkerST's Android P releases.

I don't really it would be a brick, just error in TWRP or something similar but not a brick. Other than that, the mounting point of system is also wrong.
The rom is mine, I got a mess in my google cloud and used the taimen build instead of mido (wich isn't building), also the zip file isn't flasheable, it won't work on this device, and I recommend you to not try to install any builds I upload until I post them properly on xda.

There is no blank flash. Go back to where you bought the phone and tell them it was done by an update. Usually it is backed up by the warranty

For that you need RetEU Motorola one deen 1941-1. If you don't know how to get this info, you probably shouldn't flash.

Not if it's bricked, and the warranty is still gone even if you relock. They just need to check up IMEI to see that you're out of warranty.

You must active developer menue, activate this and go to Oem Unlock (allow unlocking of boot loader)
for the code you must have register to OPPO :silly: https://id.oppo.com/index.html

Did OPPO change its stance on rooting? I want to root an OPPO device. The f11 has no fastboot. How would I root it?

I think this is Google Account lock/unlock. When this is enabled. And you flash a firmware on it. And the device boots. It won't ask you about Google id pwd. And if this is disabled...and u flashes firmware and the next time your device boots. It won't allow u to use ur phone. Unless you give the correct id and password. It's just like iCloud but iCloud is very advanced and secure.
Does anyone with reliable knowledge of bootloader and rooting knowledge have information on a potential twrp port, or what such a port would require and entail?
I would also love to see twrp on my reno 10x some day, but, I doubt that. =(

I thought that since it's easy yo flash from default
Recovery so could be easy to flash a twrp image...

so yesterday i wrote to OPPO support to ask them how can i unlock the bootloader and this is what they answered to me :
"We understand that you want to unlock the bootloader to install the custom ROM...
In regard to your concern, we're unable to provide instructions on how to unlock the bootloader. Please be advised that this process is delicate,
will void the warranty and can only be done in our Service Center. Rest assured, we will take this as feedback for future product enhancement.
We appreciate your understanding."
At this point, i will give up to try to make a working twrp for this phone and even if i'm really sorry for that big display i will not buy an OPPO phone
anymore...
I hope that all phone producer will understand that since android is free software when someone buy a phone must be free to do anything he wants
with that phone, even losing any kind of software warranty!
