Experimental Treble ROM Arm64 for Redmi2. For limited time!
This rom is just a test done by someone with little experience. So do not have a dedicated Thread, who should create are the creators of the project.
It was build using as base the source code from wt88047-treble github project from @karthik km and @mkfslsxbin.
Note:
This ROM can be installed on a system partition with 1GB of space.
But other GSI ROMs Arm64 usually have 1.5GB, 2GB or more.
Requirements:
Use Treble Twrp 64bits oem-Cache:
[02/november/2018]https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410932744536993167
Install the LinkerFix when using other GSI images (currently support oreo only):
[22/october/2018]https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410932744536985475

Very good rom but Volte not working

Will it lag on 1/8?

- GPS not working, or take too long to position fix. I've waited 10mins and nothing
- Mobile data not working
Otherwise ROM is very fast and stable, good work!

Good to see another custom ROM for Che2.
This is great, I am going to try both of these (Slim and RR). What is the main difference between EMUI and SlimROM except for it's smaller? Reviews?

-Newer android version
-Some(most) people like slim/RR/some other custom rom overlay better.
-If you had some problems in EMUI with background user apps stopping (like whatsapp message notifications arriving too late or google photo doesn't sync) you won't have those problems any more.
For me battery in deepsleep goes bit faster on RR than it went on EMUI.
EMUI ~3-8% in 10h
RR ~10-14% in 10h
But maybe it's because the background apps work like you would expect them to work. Or maybe it's something else.

Thanks. I get only about ~10% per 10h on my EMUI, and I'm running modaco rom, which is a slimmed down version of stock EMUI. I haven't had any problems with background apps or other things on modaco, but I like the idea of finally advancing to Nougat on kirin with a functional dual sim.
What about Apps2SD or adoptable storage? Maybe it's not necessary on Slim or RR? Honor 4x is almost useless without adding some internal storage via some such solution.

I think System will always take ~4GB (unless you do some re-partitioning) so you would still need Apps2SD or adoptable.

Is adoptable storage improved in nougat? It was not good enough in MM to really expand storage, so Apps2SD was needed back then.

is it possible to make a custom rom for cherryplus that will utilize the storage being used by the system?!? like from 3.6 GB usable internal storage to 5-6 GB?!? I mean that would be a great help!

I think you could try to re-partitioning your device. Though it might be a bit risky if you are not sure what you are doing. It's safer to just use adopted storage or apps2sd to get more space and performance lost in that is unnoticeable in most cases (and I think it only affects to loadingtimes)

Agreed. There are only a few apps that load significantly slower if you link them with Apps2SD, and you can put those apps on /system partition. (For example "HereWeGo" navigation app takes very long time to load, like ~25 sec.)
It have the same battery consomming like RROS?
I think you should compare with Che2-ul00 B580 last build, only 1~2% in 12hours at deepsleep.

Is this only for SM-T585? Does it work for SM-T580?
LineageOS for SM-T580
@jimmyzyx In some way a good question, however it seems to me: SM-T585 only. Valera1978is well aware about the existence of the SM-T580 of course.
Question now is: will there be a Lineage version for SM-T580 as well ? I thought J0SH1X was looking into that, but now I see he opened a thread for NexusOS (had never heard of that one ever before). So as yet there is some unclearity about this. At least I guess it would take quite a bit of time to work on 2 different ROMS at the same time....

I know it is meant for the T585 but I installed it on my T580 before I noticed that. It wasn't until it told me to insert my Sim card that I realized it was for the T585. But it seems to be working fine anyway. Same problems as the 15.0 for the t580, so I'm going to try it for now.
I think you should definitely add support for SM-T350. There's no active devs for our poor device?

Not going to happen. The T350 doesn't even use the same SoC as the T585, which is the device the dev has. He couldn't even test it on the T580, which is exactly the same as the T585 but without LTE. It just happened to work but that was pure serendipity.

It works on 580 as only difference seems to be a modem and of course SIM slot. That's a good thing, as this means that devs can do 1 ROM and just add few kB build.prop patch for 580 model

the T560 uses the same SoC as the T350. The only difference between the T350 and T560 is a 1.6 inch screen difference. And the 560 already has LineageOS worked out to a degree. I think we just need a Good Device Tree for the MSM8916.
I've been hoping to get a build environment setup here soon.

First of all, the SM-T560 is a Tab E and doesn't use the same SoC as the T350 but what does it have to with the T580 and T585? The T580 and T585 use the Exynos 7870 which is NOT used in either the T350 (Snapdragon 410) or T560 (Spreadtrum SC8830A). Your information is wrong all the way around.

Even if both the T350 and T560 DID use the same SoC, and everything I find on the T560 says otherwise, neither one uses the same one as the T580. They don't even have the same number of cores. The T580 has eight while the other two have four.

As part of this effort, I'm releasing GSIs of Resurrection Remix.
This is a GSI, and true to the GSI spirit. It aims at supporting a maximum number of devices, but only with AOSP-available hardware features.
All credits obviously goes to Resurrection Remix developers

Well, this RR hasn't been tested much, and even AOSP hasn't been tested on G965F as far as I know.
But it's supposed to work.
Feel free to report your results
does this include gapps for a/b devices
Feel free to PM me, and we'll test AOSP if you want to.
thanks for your work, A-only version running smooth on S9+. GAPPS and if possible root would be nice.
Great Work!
Thanks! Working fine in Xiaomi Mi5 but some small bugs
Ohhhh man @phhusson this ROM is pure love, was desperately waiting for this, thankyou so much
Any idea how to flash Gapps onto the rom?

Reboot Recovery after you flashed the Image, then install Opengapps of your choice. (Depends on free space on /System for some Devices, for Mido the Micro Gapps are to big)

Backlight buttons, VolTE and home fp button, well i mean they are not vital at all except maybe for VolTE (here in Chile at least VolTE isn't implemented yet, so no worries)
Just wondering tho, the GSI LOS and AOSP have backlight buttons since it has the options in the "buttons option", but not on RR GSI

Yeah the button backlight patches don't apply on RR, and patch fails are ignored at the moment (because ROMs might already include patches. For instance lineage already has this button backlight patch.
I'll try to fix it, but that's quite low on my product priority list.

Can I flash GSI by Phhusso:
I didn't try it yet, our device is ARM64 System A.
How to Flash GSI:
Download your favorite GSI rom.
Flash via TWRP or fastboot. BUT please keep attention to not wipe vendor or will not get booted, you are allowed to update vendor partition only if I release new build with fix things.
How Can I flash Android P Developer Preview 5:
Click on the following link.
Download ARM64 System A image. and 3 zips for post GSI.
Flash the system.img of Android via fastboot (recommend).
Reboot to TWRP.
Go to Mount-> check Vendor partition.
Flash the 3 zip as they arranged (1-2-3),
Reboot, enjoy Android P DP5.
NOTE:
This project has nothing to do with official updates, I did Project Treble by my initiative that will not affect with official roms. Might someone will reconsider supporting Treble even with official update tho?
Damn Congratulations!
I can't do it today. But, I will definitely try it this weekend. Thanks for sharing these test builds. I am definitely looking forward to checking it out!
Thanks again!
I will go ahead and download it and get started ASAP.

I just want to say again, that you are awesome for doing this, I didn't think it was possible with this phone. I am blown away! Nice job!
Hmmm can I shirk off my plans and install this right now? lol!

I have a question about Gapps, Magisk and firmware.
I assume Firmware is not an issue since it would still get flashed to the correct partition. With Magisk, I assume that you would prefer that we use 16.7?
What should we use for Gapps? Do you have a specific Gapps in mind?
Wonderful Work~
Its a great! Wonderful work, now wait to fix all bugs now.
I have a doubt. Is the known bug caused by the PT partition? If flash Android P, will those bug still exist?
what should i say , it is great job !!!!!

[ROM][Testing][PORT][P]Vivo Funtouch OS

Update 20180806:
There are many device-related bugs as we can see.
Different hardwares/softwares will cause different bugs on different devices, and there's probably no way to fix all of them just by modifying this port, but by porting it to devices respectively.
Anyone feel free to do it on your device and distribute your patches and ports based on this one.
Look into the P semi-GSI and system/vendor images from other P preview to get some idea.
WARNING:I‘m not responsible for any consequences at all. This is an OEM rom ported from Vivo X21 so it may cause wrong behaviors including partition overwritting and may brick your phone or break hardwares.I strongly recommend you take a completely full backup of your device and know how to recovery firmwares in case of any problems.
This is still in early stage and should be normal if some features are broken.
Only working on Qualcomm fully-Trebled deivces.[/B]
Known Bugs:
Keymaster not fully working on some platforms.(Lockscreen password may broken)
Features likely broken:
Advanced settings,fingerprint,SMS sending,ime
Almost Working in all deivces:
Boot
VoLTE
WLAN
BT
...
Install for A-only:
1.enable Treble ,flash a fully-trebled 8.1 rom
2.Extract FuntouchOS_P_port.7z to your TWRP backup folder (/.../TWRP/BACKUPS/$(yourserialnumber)/
3.Restore Funtouch OS /system with TWRP
4.flash patch zip
5.wipe data, flash fbe_disabler and Permissiver (from semiGSI thread) if needed for your device.
6.Reboot.
Normally it will boot to bootanimation. If it doessn't pass bootanim then take logs with
adb logcat > logcat.txt via PC.
NOTE: If you're stuck at logo , please make sure you can boot sGSI

Damn, that shows how ridiculously bloated some of OEM Roms are...
(my 5t has 2.9gb system, and it's rather clean out of the box)
NOT working on devices with /system smaller than 3.7G.
Slim-down Brother! so, everyone can use, remove all app which is available in playstore.
