Hi,
Sorry about it. My question is nothing related to your question. I have the same model lg-as993 as you. It is working with the APN settings without issues in a provider outside USA.
My question is, using this model I am not able to OTA update the device. Did you manually update the firmware to Android 8 ?
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Data only working in reframed areas

As the title states, my data is not working in areas that are not reframed. It will default to 2g or g in these areas where it was originally hspa+. This came after installing ARHD from the international htc one forums. I tried flashing other ROMS after and even restoring my nandroid from stock but that did not fix the problem. If anyone knows a fix to this it would help me a lot because most of where I live is not reframed.
That is very scary. Sad news, sorry to hear OP

I checked my apn and it appeared to be normal. It's seems like my radio is messed up.

You know, you might go ahead and try flashing the TMO radio from that thread. Since your model is TMO, it might work.

[Q] Touchwiz MMS.apk on AOSP rom

I'm on a Verizon Galaxy note 2 i605. MMS works great on the stock TouchWiz rom. but when using a AOSP rom I can't use MMS. It seems the MNC and MCC settings on my APNS are different. Is there a way to replace the AOSP MMS with the TW MMS? I am using the verizon phone on Bluegrass Cellular. NOOB
One word. No.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
Do you have any suggestions for me. I've tried thousands of different things. Like I said, its a verizon note 2 and I'm using it on Bluegrass celllular. On the stock rom I can change the APN's and get MMS to work, but with any AOSP, it will not (regardless of the APN settings). The AOSP roms are the only ones that let me change the roaming mode from home only to Automatic. So if I can't change that, I have no service when roaming. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I bought this $600 phone and was told by bluegrass that it was completely compatible(not the case).

You could go to whichever AOSP ROM you are usings thread and explain the situation and ask how to make it work.

No problem, each ROM is a bit different and sometimes they can have different ways of doing things that would work on others.

Metropcs Galaxy s5

Hey guys, I'm new to all this flashing roms stuff and I have a question . I have the MetroPCS Galaxy s5 and the model number is G900T1 but there are practically no roms for metropcs so I was wondering if I can flash the tmobile roms on my metropcs device due to the fact metropcs and tmobile are basically the same the Tmobile model number is G900T as you see there's only one difference between the model numbers and that's the 1 in metros model number so please HELP
I am running the T-Mobile Stock rom on my MetroPCS version GS5. The only difference is that I needed to change the APN from fast.tmobile.com to fast.metropcs.com. Everything works flawlessly.
Didn't wanna wanna make new thread since this is just a basic question. Is anyone on metro pcs using the galaxy s5? I'm using their basic 40 dollar plan which gives me 500 mb of 4g. My question is I turned off the lte service but even though I was using 3g it still used my 500 mb of lte data, does anyone know anything about this, or is turning of 4g not an option on this phone?

Whether your on LTE or HSPA, it is still considered 4G and will use your data. The only way to not use the data allotment is to be on WiFi.

I didn't. I went straight for the tar ball and used ODIN to flash. I then used the ODIN rooting method.
Sorry my quote is acting weird right now but thanks for the info!

MetroPCS is owned by T-Mobile. The 1 after the G900T is the only factor that makes them different. They both have the download booster feature as well as wifi calling and HD Voice. Flashing roms on the G900T1 will be compatible with G900T (T-Mobile) Roms as well as MOST G900F Roms, I have a T-Mobile S5 on an international Rom. Everything will be good.

Hey, Have a question.

firmwares and modems
I should be fine to flash modems and firmwares from tmobile on my meto gs5 right? same towers....?
G thanks lol
Incase anyone else was wondering you can. But you have to change apns
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-900TI for Metro PCS which I have unlocked. I am currently using this on T Mobile and want to change the apn settings to those for t mobile. When I add the settings and save then pick the t mobile settings the phone revert back to the metro pcs apn settings. How do I ensure that the t mobile are used? Should I be doing something else?
(I change the apn settings from the settings>more networks>apn names>add apn menu option)
Can someone please give me some suggestions?

[Q] Hotspot not working on Verizon G3 with T-Mobile SIM

Hi,
I was searching the forum and could not find the answer. I am rooted with hotspot hack, but it does not let me activate it. I have T-Mobile SIM. FoxWifi and Wifi tether both don't work. Is there any workaround? Thanks!
See attachment.

SOLVED!
I did not change the hotspot name like it was clearly said the instructions.
It's up and running perfectly!
Um I don't think the Verizon g3 works with a T-Mobile sim?

Weird! I know you can enable it by entering a code on the phone dialer to open a hidden menu, I'm not sure how to do it, just research for it on your model. Sorry.

Otherwise, you might want to try Grasso's WiFi Tether Router app on Play Store. Couple bucks, works well even on lollipop
Thanks all. Talking about Lollipop. My phone came with 4.4.2, how do I upgrade to Lollipop. When I go to System updates and check for update, it says I am on the latest.
If you are rooted, and have a custom recovery (e.g., twrp), simplest might be to install one of the lollipop Roms. I just installed skydragon, plus the SD 4.1 kernel, based on the 23c lollipop build, like it a lot. There are multiple other lollipop Roms, check the Verizon g3 android development forum area.
If you want to root, but haven't yet, check bweN diorD's reference thread in the stickies, Verizon lg g3 General forum region. The first two posts have lots of good info with links.

Is there some odd reason why you need to make a thread for this and can't just search google?
