No Notifications (Pace) MIUI 10 Beta - Amazfit

Hey together,
please Help me. I dont receive notifications on my Amazfit Pace. Phone calls Work fine. I use MIUI 10 beta and a MiMix2S. It works the hole year. But now No Notifications.
I think the Problem is MIUI. I make factory reset at the watch and Phone. I pair with an iPhone. Everything works perfekt.
Permissions all on. Notifications settings all on. And Autostart for Amazfit App is on.

You must test it with another phone to see if the miui 10 is the problem(or the beta with android P?)

I had the same problem on miui 10 with mix 2s. No notifications at all. I've found a work around for the problem. I've installed notify & fitness for amazfit. Setup the app and everything is working as before.

Amazfit pace - notifications issue

Hello,
Guys i have a problem with the notifications on my Amazfit Pace (international version).
This happens very but very often. Whenever i receive a notification my amazfit app disconnects and reconnects immediately therefore the notification is not pushed to the watch. I tried all of the following:
1. I have tried every single version of Amazfit App and nothing seems to work.
2. I have unlocked the bootloader and installed Pacefied v2.6.4.1 (stable) and the problem still occurs.
3. I have Huawei Mate 10 Lite with EMUI 8.0 . I have tried EVERYTHING (ignore battery optimisation and manual launch of background processes etc..). Nothing seems to work.
This problem doesnt allow Amazmod to work fine on my watch and i am restricted. The problem also occurs with WatchDroid.
HOWEVER, i tried the AMF Notification system for my Pace and works perfectly. I get all notifications on my watch, no disconnections at all, however , i just dont like the interface of it!
Any ideas?
It is an issue with firmware/Amazfit app. You have to wait for new versions, or only use "standard notifications" (either in AmazMod or use Amazfit for notifications).

I have tried to use only Amazfit without amazmod or any other service and the problem occurs. I have also tried to use amazmod only with the amazfit application to be off and again I experience the same issue. This happens for over a year now since I bought the watch
Try stock firmware with latest Amazfit from PlayStore, or stock CN firmware with latest Amazfit from Mi.com: I have Pace running AmazeROM (which is basically stock CN) connected to a phone with EMUI 8.0 too, and it much better since a few versions of Amazfit ago...

Do you have any problems with it? I had pacefied and and now I am using AmazIT which I still have the same problem... Do you have the same problem that I have as well? Disconnecting for no reason?

No problems here using EMUI 8.0 and latest CN Amazfit and firmware (2.6.5.0). You must use only one kind of notifications: either standard (no replies) or custom (with replies). Do not try to use AmazMod when Amazfit app is syncing with phone or it may make the service freeze.
AmazMod only is supported in stock firmware, if you use a custom ROM then you are on your own trying to fix any problems...
I have this exact issue and it's driving me nuts.

It's not a problem with the watch, but with the phone: some phones have interferences between WiFi and BT, notably some Huawei and Samsung phones. Or you didn't configure it correctly and Amazfit is being killed while in the background, this usually happens with Android 8.0+, MIUI and EMUI.
It's a Huawei phone. What is the best way to go about this? Disabling WiFi is not really an option, for obvious data cost reasons.
Also, I used this same phone without any issues with a Pebble 2 SE. Never any disconnects.

First, disable WiFi for a while to test if it's the problem. If you confirm it is, try connecting to a 5GHz WiFi network. If it doesn't happen, your only choice it to write to Huawei and Huami about the issue, Huami is aware of the problem (it is plaguing a lot of Samsung users, it is not their fault but they may be able to add a workaround in Amazfit app).
Guys in my opinion its not a wifi issue since i have an amazfit bip and it works perfectly with the mifit app and Notify. It happens only with amazfit app and pace. I believe (without being a programmer) it has to do with the notification system of the watch. Maybe its because we own mid range phones. If you use AMF notification system on pace it works perfectly. I have tried WatchDroid as well and it has the same problems with the amazfit app as well.

Notification issue with Pie and bluetooth

Since the Pie update if I have bluetooth on and connected, my s9+ has no notifications sound. It will vibrate but no sound. I have checked what I think it could be and tried the device in safe mode to eliminate an app issue. Seems Pie has a notification bug. How do I submit issue to Google or get help?
Any ideas on the issue?
So I did a network settings reset on the device. Seems to have fixed the issue.

I have the same issue on Samsung S9 with Pie.
Because of your post I reset my network settings but the issue is still there. (all the wifi and Blutooth settings are gone).
So, that doesn't seem to fix it.
You just need to reconnect to your wifi and Bluetooth connections. Mine worked until I restarted the S9 back to no notification sound.
Same problem here. If my bluetooth device is connected, but not in my ear, I don't hear the regular notification sound as I did before the upgrade to Pie.

Sorry, but in my eyes that is not a fix if it doesn't survive a reboot.
It's probably a workaround hack with nasty side effects of loosing all connection info.
Someone tried with a factory reset? I'm thinking about doing it, but if someone did it and it did not work...

I have done the factory reset and nothing has been changed, still same issue
I believe Samsung can solve this issue, but as usual they are lazy as their monthly update
Notification Problems in Android 9.0
I don't know whether this is the correct forum, but I am having problems with repeating notifications that worked perfectly well in 8.0 before the update.
I use an app "Prof Reminder or Missed Call Reminder" that allows repeating notifications with a specified notification sound and repeat period.
With this app, I have been unable to get repeat notifications with WhatsApp, the first comes through, but then after nothing (it seems the signal is dismissed).
When using BlueMail (email app) repeat notifications work perfectly.
Have checked app the settings, permissions etc., and everything looks correct, been through it so many times and double checked everything.
Cannot understand why one app works perfectly, yet another will not work!
Would appreciate any advice or experience, if this is the wrong forum please let me know.
Were are the Notification being stored since Pie?
It looks like to me they are in the system and not reachable unless rooted. Since Pie, I've lost needed sounds that no longer are available.
Is there a way to add back some of the lost sounds that existed prior to Pie?
Notifications for indiviual apps do not sound. I have an app sound for messages but it does not work nor do anyother app sounds work even the Settings Sound does not sound for any app that is requestiing an individual sound. Is this just mine or are others having the same problem???
My notification sound is reset to zero about every day or other day since the upgrade to Pie (no bluetooth involved). No idea what causes this but I am pretty sure it's up to Samsung to fix.
It's occurring on Pie based ROM's. Verified in LineageOS 16 & crDroid 5.4. When connected to Bluetooth , phone is not ringing in speaker but vibrates. So you'll miss calls if you not wearing the Bluetooth headset.
Reported at https://github.com/crdroidandroid/android_frameworks_base/issues/245 , but they mentioned this needs to fixed by core team.

Amazfit Stratos 3 cannot find new firmware 4.2.2.1

My Stratos 3 is currently running 4.2.2.0 firmware.
Today Amazfit app has notified me a new firmware available: 4.2.2.1, but when I choose to upgrade, the watch looks for latest version and says it's on the latest.
Is there any way to force the discovery? I'm currently facing problems to sync sport activities between the watch and the Amazfit App and I'd like to test the new firmware to see it solves those problems.

Hi Johny, did you do anything else? I have done already like 10 factory resets, and the only thing I get after the incredibly fast firmware download is "Coudn't download updates, try again", and if try again, "Current version is up to date", once and once again
I'm losing my nerves with this watch, it works really bad
I'm in the same problem... I did 3 favtiry resets without any result. After a factory reset wath download firmware but appears a download error and stops... My watch version is A1929.
Another stranger thing is inthe amazfit app apeears a message to download the lastest version everytime.:crying:
Make sure watch can connect to Wi-Fi properly, otherwise it won't download the update. You can connect it in the settings on watch (of course).

The download finishes to 100% but when it try to install appear the download fail message... The wifi connection is on, and it seems to download all the firmware.
It can be a servet fail or similar. But it download to the 100%, I don't understand... I try 4 times factory reset and delete amazfit app to in mobile with same result.
If you know how to use adb, you can try this:
1. Connect the watch to the computer using USB
2. Make sure you have a file named "update.zip" on watch's internal storage after it reaches 100% downloading
3. Check if adb is working with:

4. If it does, try to start the update with this other command:

adb reboot update
It was very very weird.
When I was at home, my watch always told me it was on the latest version, but when I tried again far from home, it detected the new version (but I didn't have a Wifi around to download).
I then used my mobile Wifi tethering but I received an error on OTAUpdate module.
I did a Factory reset and I downloaded and installed it perfectly.
Really weird indeed... I was able to update also by tethering, wifi at home or office didn't work, so thanks for your help

Finally I can update, I explain the steps I have done.
1-factory reset
2-pair the phone with amazfit app.
3- select the update in the amazfit app ( not the stratos, because if you select in ther fails)
4- put password wifi and update.
The most extrange thing is because the same steps I done 6 or 7 times before, with the same wifi connection.

no need in factory reset, there was a bad file pushed to the OTA. it was replaced, everything should work out of the box.
I'm still not able to update but that looks like different issue.
When I try to enter wifi password in Amazfit app, press tick mark on keyboard it does nothing. On phone keyboard closing, window to enter password still there with password entered (no ok or other button) and Stratos 3 still waiting for password.
Maybe that is some incompatibility with Android 10 in Nokia 8.1?

Same issue here. The updated worked for 4.2.2.0 after many attempts but not the 4.2.2.1. I tried using the watch directly or the app.
Also, the watch quality is poor. GPS doesn't work properly for running even if trying different GPS combinations (GLONASS, GALILEU,)
I had the Amazfit Pace and it was great comparing with this one.. Really disappointed.

Yes.. Just saw other pages about GTR / GTS. Exactly the same.
It takes a long time to get signal and I even had a run of app. 7 km that the watch recognized as about 13 km.
Doesn't seem like an easy and quick fix either..
I'm about to action the warranty..

just got mine i can definitly say there's nothing to do with GTR (sent it back)... accruacy is very good on this watch.

I'm 4.2.2.1 got it upgrade first time I boot.
Tried 2 or 3 times accuracy is good. GPS+Galileo (I'm french)
But I'm facing some bugs (due to early fw) the time of my workout it 1 hour sooner in amazfit app (if I do it at 15h00 it's displayed at 14h in amazfit app) in the watch it's ok.
I had also to disable "workout synced notification" because it was never stopping to send notification)
Last think I've noticed some notification are double sent: ex Gmail
But has I said the watch was first only in English French language came with latest fw. Some of you have those bugs?

Zepp App notification issues with Stratos 3

Hi all,
I have been experiencing issues with the notifications on my Stratos 3 for a couple of weeks. Very often there is a big delay from when I get the notifications on the phone to when the notifications are shown on the watch. Another problem is that I get the same notifications again on the watch some time after (even if the notifications are already gone on the phone). Also very often notifications stay on the watch after being cleared on the phone.
I have checked that Zepp app is not battery optimized and that it has access to notifications. Not sure if there is some other permission that needs to be granted which might have lost when changing from Amazfit to Zepp.
I didn't have any issues with amazfit app, I think this started when they changed the app to Zepp....
Anyone else encountered the same issues?
I'm having the same issues with Stratos 3.
However, I had them already with the amazfit app.
I'm using it with the Galaxy Note 10+. Also battery optimization is off and all other permissions given.
Notifications work normally in ultra mode!
Any help is highly appreciated.
Mmm then it could also be related to the 4.2.7 firmware update that I did recently.
I have enabled the phone anti-lost feature and I noticed that the watch is constantly loosing connection even if it is 10cm far from the phone.

My first firmware was 4.2.6.0 and I had the problem already.
I read it was better with 4.2.5.0... but I don't really understand how to downgrade.
I have a Galaxy note 10+ Deactivating "find my mobile" didn't have any effect for me.
After updating to 4.2.8 I have the same issues with the notifications and lost connection frequency.
I will raise a bug on the Zepp app and hope it is looked at

Hi! I have the same issue and I had battery optimization "ON" for Zepp, turned it off and..no result. I believe its either a bug on the firmware or some minor tweak required on the ROM( its a custom ROM, not stock). But with the Stratos 2, same phone, same ROM, no issues whatsoever...
Guys, massive improvement: tried with an older Zepp version (Amazfit 4.7.1) and even if I havent tested WhatsApp notifications all the others are super fast and I had zero connection lost warnings! Wish you all the best of luck!

The only way I could receive notifications properly was using Amazmod (sorry if you own an iPhone) and turning off everything related to graphics/images in notifications. They are some seconds late, but still usable though.

Dude, thanks a lot, the only thing I didn't tried, except for factory reset the phone, was an older version of the app. I could only find Amazfit Watch 2.7.2, but it's working flawlessly with it, watch is first Stratos

Hi,
I also have the same issue. I have a mi Band 4 and have issues with the notifications. After about 5-7 days, the bands permission to access the notifications is reset on it's own to no access. When I try to enable it, it is already set to allow. I have to revoke and grant permission again for it to work.
Had no issues with the Poco F1 and the same band for more than a year.
After tinkering right now, I got to this screen and I am doing it all. Just checked, but on the Poco, only auto start was enabled. Will see in a few days if this resolves the issue

Just an update. For me, the above settings solved the notification issues. Now everything works as it should.
In the meantime I installed a notification patch from a different thread so maybe it helped too...
