Hi,
Me and some of my friends bought the ceros revolution, a tablet, on chinavision. Is there anyway to get root permissions?

Our problem is the setting of the CPU, that even if is a 1.6 quad core it stays mainly at 312-816 mhz. In a day it uses the 1.6 frequenze only for 30 seconds more or less.

Any luck with finding ways to root this device? Just got one myself and it seems good but it would be nice to get it rooted. Can't really find anything on Google when it comes to rooting this one.

Thats great news! Have just browsed it yet but is it the same device or close enough to make it work with the CERO's? Did you try? Any benefits with it rooted? Love my rooted sgs2 with tons of custom ROMs. Would be nice to upgrade the CERO's to 4.3 or 4.4. Thanks mate!

The tablet with root is a little better if you set higher frequencies for the CPU, but there isn't any rom for it, you can use only the stock rom.

I want to root my Ceros AS IT WON'T RUN THE huawei e353 or huawei e3131 usb dongles.....it will only run the huawei e1750 which is to slow on my service.

I guess there will be hardly any/no updates, no custom roms, bad customer service??

Finally rooted my device , thanks for the link. Have you guys tried to install xposed
framework? Would be nice to somehow get cwm so one could make a nandroid and test. If anybody manages to find cwm and/or custom ROM/kernel would you be so kind and post on this thread.

Xposed working fine with rooted ceros . Installed gravitybox and xtheme. Evertything seems to work.
Edit. Bootlooping after flashing fonts. Any idea where to get stock rom? Already factory reset but no go.

No, I can't help you. Did you solve your problem?
Had to re-install fw but now is ok. Xposed works and is quite useful for some functions like back to kill , xthemes and stuff. My mistake was trying to much at the same time i guess. Now just reroot and business as usual.

How did you reinstall fw? This morning I broke my tablet, it doesn't charge. It shows the charge animation and after 5 seconds reboots.

Can you get into recovery? Reset device to turn it off. Hold power+back until you are in recovery. There you can try factory reset. I sent you pm how to get official fw with instructions. Thanks granny1

Be aware
Bought two of the Ceros Revolution tablets. One works great the other is terrible with lag running the same application. Appears the processor is running significantly slower than it should. I run AnTutu and the bad one runs at 1/3 the speed of the good one. They obviously have a glitch in their rom build that effects some units and not others. Tried to contact Chinavision but get absolutely no replies from them. So unless I can find some sort of software solution to this problem I then just may use it for target practice.

yes its possible i will made later a flashable zip ..but try firts my rom so u dont need to flash the the feature manually to other roms :silly:

Hi, going to download and install you ROM. I currently have a 5.1.1 based ROM with COI bootloader and modem, do I need to change this?
Is your ROM also based on 5.1.1 ?

Works great at 580 dpi. A few things, like the dialler labels fit on the screen better now.

Maybe I spoke a little too soon. Two things....
The Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting then re-connecting. I've tried on two different routers, so it's definitely the ROM.
The max sound volumes are set a little too high, the sounds are slightly distorted. Reducing the volumes manually sorts this out though.

I got no WiFi disconects you are the First Person with this Problem ...maybe try the zancum Kernel from 2nd Post. ...greets

Does anybody know of a good todo list or task list app for Marshmallow that allows backup/restore from the device memory, sd card etc.?
I just started playing around with AndroMoney and it has this feature which is great because you can backup your data and move it around without google or some third party cloud host. I'm interested in useful apps that have this option but most of all right now I want to find a todo list or task list app that does that. Thank you.

3rd app seems incompatible with front camera hardware in Redmi 3 Pro/Prime (ido). But, some of them works just fine, such as Snapchat. Camera can't expose light for video calling on LINE, Instagram, OpenCamera, and another 3rd camera apps. That problem only occurs on Q-Tech camera model that some files named libcromatix***.so are responsible with this problem.
I've attached flashable zip to help you fix that problem.
Flash with TWRP, and your front camera will works on 3rd camera apps
I hope can help anybody who face the same issue on their Redmi 3 phone

Sorry, actually is not working, i said that was working because I opened the camera in WhatsApp and it was OK, but if I take the photo it doesn't work.

oh sorry, have you checked your vendor ID of your front camera? you can find out inside Engineering Mode, and enter Device View. make sure if your front camera is from q-tech. I've tried to take picture from whatsapp in my phone and works.

tap few times on Kernel version in About Phone inside Setting.
Do we have some news about this? I come back to mokee after switching to miui, and checked lib folder in system/vendor , i have these files but my front camera does not work properly

its not working bro,, i have check device info, and camera info is the same with what you share, my phone is redmi 3, and currently using newest miui 8 stable version, please help

Ada solusi nggak gan? Penyakit hapeku sama nih. Begitu buka whatsapp, messenger, imo kamera langsung nggak detect.
Has anybody found or made a good ambient display option for the always on display?
I miss my noLED option and the apps I have tried to emulate that suck
I wish always on display gave more info than just the icon notify
Well I use Glimpse Notification. Unfortunately there is no application that would give the functions of an ambient display. There is AC Display app but I don't like it ;/
