LG Gpad X 8.0 connection speeds garbage - LG G Pad X 8.0 Questions & Answers

I've got a T-mobile LG G Pad X 8.0 that I just did a factory reset on and updated to Android 7.0. The connection speed is atrocious now. I'm getting no higher than .60mbps download speed on LTE, 4g, LTE Hotspot from my note 8 (which is reading over 30mbps), or home WiFi (around 4mbps normally). No matter which I try, I get between .2 and .6mbps. I've done all of the updates available... Slowly.... I've checked the apn (fast.t-mobile.com). Im totally stumped, and it makes this device practically useless.

Wi-Fi download speed mystery

Comcast wi-fi internet access : wife's s3, galaxy 8.0 tablet, and toshiba laptop all clocking around 30meg download speeds on speedtest.net, while my s4 will only clock 4-5megs. ALL four will upload same, about 6 meg. Verizon tech referred to Samsung tech who could only recommend a reset which did not help. The recent upgrade to android 4.3 also had no effect. Both s3 and s4 will clock similar 10-25 meg downloads on strong 4g lte connection. Any thoughts?

Poor signal

Do you guys have poor data coverage with your LG G3s? I don't know what it is with these new phones, my Thunderbolt used to have LTE almost everywhere I went, and when I lost it, 3G picked up instantly so I almost never lost mobile data. The phone I just switched from, a Samsung Note 3, and now the LG G3 seem to have terrible data. It barely picks up any LTE signal, and constantly drops to 3G and then loses data all together, then when I lose data, I need to turn off mobile data and turn it back on again. Is this a bug with lollipop? I am currently running Jasmine 8.0 on my G3 and was completely stock on the Note 3 no root nothing running Lollipop 5.0.
Same here. Better LTE with old HTC X8.

What ROM is best for sharing 4G LTE via Hotspot?

Just ordered the LTE variant of this phone to replace my work phone Moto E. I love the phone, but now since my roommates can't pay the internet bill, at home my router signs on to my phone Hotspot and becomes my home internet.
I'm not expecting a dramatic difference, but was wondering what ROM/Kernel might give me the most reliable unlimited hotspot?
If prefer to be on 7 unless there is some benefit to be gained.
I didn't get the last part "prefer to be on 7" ? If you have a Moto e 2015 version (otus or surnia), stock Nougat is not available for them.
For a hotspot, I think stock LP or MM should do the trick, although be aware that the battery will drain quite fast and continuous charging will impact battery life.

US998/LS998 Slow 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi performance

For some reason, my V30 gets about 30mbps on Wi-Fi and sometimes it even maxes out at 5mbps sometimes. In contrast, my crossflashed V40 and V20 get 100+mbps, which is the internet speed I am paying for. My old iPhone also gets 100+mbps. My phone appears to be a crossflashed LS998 running the us998 firmware but I am not sure if that matters. What could be causing these slow wireless speeds? Factory reset has also been tried.

Question Hotspot T-Mobile

Got my Pixel 6 and I'm getting awful hotspot speeds. My OP8T gets 200-300Mbps speeds and I'm getting under 1Mbps with my Pixel. Anybody else tested their hotspot on T-Moble? I'm not rooted using system hotspot.
I haven't checked yet. But try changing the DNS to private and use 1dot1dot1dot1.cloudflare-dns.com . That helped my data speeds a bit.
Got it fixed by unlocking and rooting. Speeds still not as fast as my OP8T but I like the phone better.
I noticed that there is now a new icon for data, which I have found to be interesting. T-Mobile recently released the new 5G UC (Ultra capacity), mid-range, and the device is getting 300+ Mbps. When it drops to 5G only, I see the difference down to 150 Mbps.
For hotspot, are you throttled by your plan? Well, somewhat moot now being that you rooted
