Using the FM with Bluetooth headphones - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

Dear community,
I bought a pocophone f1 and I also have headphones Bose QC 30. I would like to use these headphones with the Bluetooth to listen to the FM. I connect earphones to the phone to get the FM plus then the speaker through the Bluetooth but it doesn't work.
Any help?

As far as I know, the FM radio will only work with wired headphones as it uses the wire going to the ear bugs as an aerial. You should download a radio streaming app if you wish to use wireless headphone.

Most of the mobile phones use the wired headphone as antenna. If you want a similar phone to use FM wirelessly then you have to use either an FM streaming app. (this will use your mobile data) alternatively you can use a wire cut headphone jack as antenna and transfer the speaker sound to Bluetooth headphones.

It worked to listen to FM Radio wirelessly in MIUI 10 by plug the wired headphone as antenna, open the FM app then connect the Bluetooth speaker/earbuds BUT it's stop working after update to Android 11.
I need help too.

Android 11 still in development

->>>non reliable (like in my case fails some time) no root require
--install apk from play store : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nordskog.LesserAudioSwitch
---than change to headset after that fm start working(than turn on speaker)
---to route on blutooth just change output(android 11+ or some custom roms) to Bluetooth
->>>reliable means always works root requires
--Just flash magisk module lsposed(zygisk version preferred) :- https://github.com/LSPosed/LSPosed/releases/tag/v1.8.3
--Than after reboot install Xposed module(apk) : https://dl-xda.xposed.info/modules/...xoverrideheadphonejackdetection_v5_547951.apk
---Than activate module choose system framwork , now you can manually change to
headset than fm start working
---and if you want to route fm to blutooth just change(for android 11+ or some custom rom) output to Bluetooth.

Sat Nav over Bluetooth

Hi
Can anyone confirm that Sat Nav commands are streamed to a blue tooth speaker ?
I would like to use the Sat Nav on my phone but the in-built speaker isn't upto the job. A simple blue tooth speaker would be fine, if it works. . . .or are there any other alternatives.
Any help or recommendations would be most welcome.
Ta
Hi
I will test this at work today for you as i have bluetooth speakers there can also check an fm transmitter if you want to go down that route
I use a Venturi mini (http://www.myventuri.com/home.aspx ) and it stream BT sat commands, phone calls and even my .mp3 music to my car radio, separate or even together.....it's excellent, especially as it's powered from cigarette lighter socket
Thanks for this - I do like the look of the Venturi mini, and the usb charging function would be ideal, but I would prefer an independent speaker so that I can still use my cars radio/media player. What it does prove is that I can stream commands using A2DP to a bluetooth device.
I can confirm BT speaker output for two navigation softwares:
IGO8 and ALK Copilot.
Using a Blaupunkt car audio unit named "Hamburg MP68" with A2DP streaming.
Working quite well, the same as my BT stereo headphone, a Plantronics 590E.
If you connect a bluetooth headset/ a2dp device, all sounds should play over bluetooth, so it should work without any problems

Yes, but some devices, such as the Jabra BT3030 go into standby between commands and by the time it has come to life again, and received the audio half of the audio is missing, or you don't get any of it.
Well I'm going to try a Jabra SP700 and see if it works - I'll let you know.
My Jabra SP700 works fine with TomTom & streams music. I'd certainly recommend it.

[Q] Radio via bluetooth

Hello everyone,
I'd like to know if there is an app or some setting that will let me listen to the standard radio via a bluetooth stereo headset.
I'm perfectly aware i need to plug in the headphones...well unless there is a workaround. I Just want to redirect the sound output from the obligatory headset to the bluetooth one.
Any kind of internet radio is not an option. We got some bad "Edge" only speed here...
Thx in advance
You could use a headset like this one: Sony Ericsson MW600. The radio is built-in directly to the headset.
I'm currently playing with some radio stuff
it will not require headset for FMradio.
I will make a new thread when ready.
but expect to hook some metal wire to the plug, or FM quality will be bad.

Radio FM (no streaming) via Bluetooth

One more time I ask my question that I see in other forums still unanswered, since 2007.
Is it possible to listen to FM radio bringing some mobiles (eg S3) using bluetooth headset?
I know it takes physical headphone cable antenna to do. I have no problem to plug some wire if that is necessary.
But I want to listen to the radio (not streaming with apps like tunein) via bluetooth.
Does anyone know if this is possible? I do not think it's something SO difficult. With the application of native MP3 music player on my S3 I have a choice if I want to output to the external speaker or bluetooth.
How hard is it to do something similar to the radio?
Is there no cooked ROM to do it?
thank you very much
No it is not possible because the earphone wire acts as an external antennae for the radio. If you don't believe me, grab an old pair of earphones that don't work and chop off 2/3rds of the cable. Plug it in and go on FM radio app and output sound to speaker. It will work fine.
Kind Regards
Dave

I know that the wire is necessary as antenna. I wrote that in my text.
The thing that I want is to connect a wire in the jack, and to have the possibility of redirecting the output thru bluetooth.
Hi,
it is possible, check if your device is supported by Spirit fm. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059296
Using a digital audio method enables output over bt-headset.

Many thanks Chillmann. I have just installed SpiritFM in my Samsung S3 and it works. But I have only two alternatives in Settings/Audio/Output: headset or speaker. I don´t have alternative "bluetooth".
Yes, because there is none such alternative ^^
U need to change Settings/Audio/Method (select a digital method for ur device and all the sound will go throu BT as long as a BT-Device is paired with ur Phone. U cant even force sound back throu wired Headset unless u disconnect from BT)
Maybe the Free Version doesnt provide this option
I have bought the paid version and it works perfectly!!! Finnally I can listen to the radio thru my bluetooth intercom when I am riding my motorcycle, and without streaming. Many thanks.
My FM Radio and madiatek fans in 2021 Lol, you may be able to listen to FM Radio, using the stock fm radio app, through bluetooth.
My case is the Blu G9 Pro on Android 10 mtk6771. I also tried my old Blu R1 HD and also works.
Simply:
1. Connect wired headset, (still required) for antennae,
2. Launch fm radio app, pick a station and play as usual.
3. While fm is playing through wired headset, connect bluetooth headset.
Fm radio audio is redirected to bluetooth headset automatically.
This will need to be done each time you want to use fm radio with bluetooth.
Why is this important to me? I am rooted with magisk and Viper4Android installed. Now I can enjoy free FM Radio through Bluetooth headset with the best audio quality using Viper4Android.
What'd y'all think?

Cannot play Fm radio on Bluetooth speaker

When I plug in my headphones and switch to stereo, it does not play music through the connected Bluetooth speaker.
Any solutions?
I guess it's because you need ear phones with cable that acts as an antenna

I have mentioned above that I plugged them in but then when I connect to my Bluetooth speaker it does not work; either plays through headphones or the phone's speaker.
You are correct it only plays music through headset or phone speakers, but doesnt through bluetooth

There has to be a way since it is possible on other phones
That's strange, it's possible for my "Z3 and my z3 tab to play fm in Bluetooth speakers. Maybe try switching to loudspeaker first then switch back to headset on the fm app

When I connect to Bluetooth speakers, they play music on everything, but then I open radio and it plays on headphones by default and when I switch to speaker, it does not play through the Bluetooth speakers
bump
I often get a Bluetooth crash when I use fm radio, without Bluetooth even turned on. Maybe in z5 the chip is shared between Bluetooth and radio.
Or maybe the firmware is bugged, because I never receive an error on z3 compact.
I will open a case at Sony's support.

Seems Sony messed up the apk with latest update in MM. Lets wait for a fix.
Hey Sony, how about an upgrade to the FM radio stock app that does not appear to have a Bluetooth redirect functionality. By the way my headphone jack went bad on the Z3 compact long ago but it still works as an "antenna" with headphones plugged in. I just need a way to redirect / override the headphone jack and redirect to Bluetooth. I have not found any other system tools type app to overrode and redirect to Bluetooth. Sony help! And the headphone jack on the Z3 sucks as the part fails (wears out) to quickly.
Z5 compact Bluetooth doesn't work for radio
Can only play radio thru internal speakers or wired speakers. Bluetooth doesn't transmit radio audio. Disappointing Sony!!!

Teclast P80X Tablet: FM Radio App Not Routing Sound to Bluetooth

Hi. My Teclast P80X Android tablet is unable to play the sound of its FM Radio tuner app to Bluetooth, being either bluetooth connected headphones or external speakers. The device naturally requires wired headphones to be plugged in to the 3.5mm socket when running the FM Radio app, so it can use the headphone cable as radio antenna, and it plays the radio sound through the wired headphones by default. The app provides a speaker icon which can be pressed to switch the sound output to the tablet's internal speakers. However this does not route the sound to a connected bluetooth device, and there is no option to make it so!!
The FM Radio app offers recording option, and plays recorded sound parts through bluetooth if a device is connected, but again there is no way to hear the live radio sound through Bluetooth.
My older tablets, Vodafone Speed Tab 6, or another Alcatel one managed to do this correctly with ease.
Could anyone please offer another generic FM Radio app that can be installed, that manages to deliver sound output to Bluetooth on this device? I am specifically looking to play radio stations received through antenna, and definately not those received by web streaming.
Many thanks for any help
