So I purchased an Honor 8x Max online. I'm trying to set the phone up. I inserted my sim and the phone reads it and my number but it is stuck on "no service." I looked it online it said the bands were supported. Does anyone know what the issue could be?

I asked this within another thread and got no response. Why wouldn't the honor 10 have the same bands active as the p20 pro even though they have the same soc? I guess they could decide just to do it that way. Is there a way to get the other bands activated? Previously on my nexus 4, lte was able to get activated by flashing a new base band even though it wasn't already approved.
That's would be nice provided the logic board indeed has the same radios
I just got a G9650 on ebay, but when I put my sim card in, it doesn't want to register on the network I'm using, MetroPCS in the USA. It recognizes the number on the sim, but it says emergency calls only, even after I did the apn settings. It doesn't ask for an unlock code or anything. it seems to be unlocked, just not registering. checked the imei blacklist status and it shows clear. any ideas?
UPDATE: Went to the metroPCS store and they made me pay $15 to change the IMEI of the device associated with the account. apparently it's blocked until they get their money smh it works now though
Hi guys, I need help figuring out what's wrong. Honor 8 X Max ARE - L22HN, it only sees the EDGE or 2g network, I only set LTE and it does not give me any signal, I have tried with other Sims, same result.

I'm constantly having to "reset network connections" on my new tmo s21. When I dial a # it rings 1-2x then silence while the call counter shows connected. Only way to fix the issue to reset the network.
Any solutions?
Been happening for the past month or so on T-Mobile for me, plus the network speed is ridiculously low, but ONLY on the S21. Moving my SIM to my Pixel 4a 5G, iPhone 12 Pro or Oneplus 9 Pro get normal speeds. Seeing about 300mb/s on those, and MAYBE 75mb/s on the S21. It's also not a fault model, because I have a T-Mobile branded S21 and an unlocked one as well. Both S21s have awful speeds.
Hello, I just received this phone yesterday. I am on Mint mobile but, when my IMEI is entered, it says the phone is compatible but, on the site on purchased the phone on, Giztop, they list the LTE bands as follows:
5G: Sub6G: n1/n3/n5/n8/n28/n41/n77/n78/n79
4G: FDD-LTE: B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B12/B17/B18/B19/B20/B26/B28
If anyone else is on Mint and got theirs to work please help me out or if youre on T-Mobile and got your device to work, please tell me your APN settings. T-Mobile is the parent company of Mint.
