So, wallpaper scrolling works fine on the default launcher, but with all the custom launchers I have tried (Nova, Apex, Evie, Appollo, Microsoft) it doesn't work. Has anyone else come across this issue? Is there any solution?
Try to set the wallpaper with Google photos or similar app.

Tried that, doesn't make a difference, neither does like force stop and clearing cache on the launcher
Nova launcher supports force wallpaper scrolling. If you're in beta, this option has been removed (I tried finding it but to no avail) but if youre in stable, it should be on Nova Settings > Deskop > Wallpaper Scrolling and then choose Force. This solved my issue.
A lot of Huawei devices have this issue. So far i havent been able to find a fix for detecting background scrolling in live wallpapers.

I recently installed the new Vegan gingerbread rom. I cant for the life of me, get any wallpaper to end up in the center of the screen even the stock ones.
Any fix for this.

I had to switch to Go Launcher from Launcher Pro on Calukins ROM. That fixed it. I really like the Go Launcher.
I noticed that too. Except for me it was that the apps weren't centered in the app drawer. I just disabled the "side" docks. This seemed to fix it. Not sure if that works for the wallpaper though. I use the "multi live wallpaper" app from the market. That seems to fix the low-res wallpaper issue and also centers the wallpaper.
I can't seem to get any wallpaper updated.
I'm on CM7 and ADW... I select an image from the gallery, click menu, click more, click wallpaper. Resize the wallpaper, it says saving picture, then goes to a black screen that just says gallery at the top.
Please help!

I have weirdness changing wallpaper as well, it always stays the same until I restart the launcher, and sometimes get weird glitchy graphics after. I had to stop trying.
ADW EX.
Set & Save wallpaper worked for me as long as the wallpapers were saved as png format.
I just had some serious problems with trying to set a wallpaper on CM7 using perfect viewer. I'm paranoid about setting wallpapers in CM7 now. Seems very glitchy in that area.
I've never had an issue using Walpeper Set and Save on CM7. As long as your graphics file was appropriate resolution (I am running three screens and using images 1280x1024). Using jpgs.

I know this is an older post, but I just had a similar issue so I wanted to post the solution in case anyone else runs into it too. What was happening to me is I would go to select a new wallpaper, click to save it in either Gallery or Quickpic, and when done it would revert back to the stock CM wallpaper. I found I had to restart ADW by going to Settings -> ADW Launcher -> Restart ADW in order for the new wallpaper to show. This just started happening since I installed to emmc, so not sure why, but this works reliably now.

Yeah, of course that works but it's annoying. I switched to Launcher Pro and that problem went away, so there's something weird with wallpaper and ADW.
To begin, I am very picky about wallpapers. I have an entire folder full of wallpapers at 540x960. These wallpapers all look great in Sense. I also have a collection of wallpapers at 1080x960 for use with launchers (Go Launcher, ADW, Launcher Pro) that allow the background to be scrolled. Now, here is my problem...
When I install and use a replacement launcher and then go back to Sense I can no longer properly select my 540x960 wallpaper. It wants to treat everything as though it's in the scrollable ratio. The only way I can find to solve this is to reboot the phone into recovery and delete the cache. This is hardly practical. Has anyone else come across this problem and perhaps, even, a solution.
What I'd like to be able to do is switch between the various launchers without all the wallpaper hassle.
did u try 'home switcher' from market? it works in my case (I do use both sense and ADW EX).
Using Home Switcher still causes the same conflict when choosing a wallpaper.
A hot restart will solve the problem... it's not ideal but at least it does the trick.
I wanted to give LauncherPro a try again which worked really well on my Evo 4g. My problem is that pictures that I've taken with my front camera wont display fullscreen and require me to crop them directly in the middle in order to use them which makes the image much bigger. When using Sense it does not do this and allows me to use the image fullscreen. I really do not like my background being stretched through tabs . Any solutions?? Any info would be great!
I've been googling for a good hour or so and have come up with absolutely nothing.
Just realized that it has nothing to do with LP in general, but any other launcher. They try to force me to crop the image and while cropping I can't select the whole image, but the image is already in proportion to the fullscreen.
Go Launcher does this for me too. I don't know how to correct it either.
I believe you are talking about wallpaper scrolling. In go launcher it's under screen settings-disable wallpaper scrolling. Launcher pro its appearance settings-disable wallpaper scrolling. I'm trying to decide between the two right now

Unfortunately, while you can disable wallpaper scrolling in the various launcher apps, you cannot disable the way in which it wants to crop the image. Even if you go from Launcher Pro back to Sense it will still try to crop images for the wider, scrolling format. A hot restart after switching back to Sense was the only way to solve this for me. I didn't try that after switching off the wallpaper scrolling option in Launcher Pro so it's worth a shot.
Ultimately, I just gave in and found or made a bunch of wallpapers of a 1080x960 dimension that look great scrolling in Launcher Pro.
I found a solution. Wallpaper Wizardrii allows you to set the wallpaper correctly! It's free on the android market and worked flawlessly.

Hi. I have a strange problem with Nova Launcher. My wallpapers just stopped scrolling with Nova Launcher without changing any settings, and its just with Nova Launcher. If try any other launcher even stock its scrolls without any problems. I tried checking settings and the scrolling i on, I even tried force on but same thing. If I reinstall nova its starts to work again but until I do launcher backup. I don't understand whats wrong with it... Does anyone have ideas what could be wrong? It pisses me off...

Nova wallpaper scrolling problem
A simple cure works for me. I use ES File Explorer (free on Play Store) to select the image via the Nova wallpaper option from the menu button. Hope this helps.
For rhkendrick56, how would you do this? I have ES File Explorer downloaded but I am not sure how to select an image via Nova Wallpaper.
