Nano Memory card available for pre-order - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Accessories

Looks like Amazon have the Huawei 128gb Nano Memory card up for pre order. It's quite expensive £54.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Huawei-Nan...d=1540543546&sr=8-6&keywords=nano+memory+card
I can't seem to find much other information about it, and it also seems odd that it just popped up on Amazon before anywhere else.
What do we think? Will other card manufacturers start making generics?

Hmmm... Usually sold by Huawei on Amazon US
Thank you for finding that! I'm very interested in getting one of these despite the high price. But I'm concerned about the seller on the Amazon UK sure in that link. Usually always sells their products themselves on the Amazon US site, I agree this sounds a bit odd. Has anyone heard of this seller or use them before?
Any other links to alternative sources that might be a bit more legitimate would be welcome as well
[I'm new so xda dev form is not letting me post a link to the seller's profile, but it's Tienda Siglo XXI]

49 euros in Amazon DE, seller is Amazon.

Thanks! No US delivery tho :-/

Aaaaargh! So close and yet so far. Thank you very much for the link, best price I've seen.
Unfortunately they won't deliver that item to US. Following your lead, I saw one other (non Amazon) seller there on Amazon.DE but they won't ship to US either. It will let me add to cart but I get errors when trying to check out that there is no US delivery.
I really appreciate the help... The search continues, and unfortunately may need to resort to a third party eBay thing when that becomes a viable option.

If the seller is Amazon they will ship to the US regardless of what the site says. Ordered the super car charger last week and it shipped today to the US from the UK even though the site says won't ship to the US.

Thanks for heads up and sharing your experience, perhaps it only works for Amazon UK (which unfortunately does not seem to list the NanoMemory card at all), but it doesn't seem to be true for Amazon DE.
Even though the 49EUR NanoMemory card for Mate 20 Pro is sold by Amazon it will not let me check out with a US shipping address (I tried several different US address).
I hey there following message and only the option to delete it from my cart, not purchase:
Huawei NanoMemory 128G Memory Card for Mate20/Mate20 Pro
There was a problem with some of the items in your order (see below for more information):
Sorry, this item can't be sent to your selected address. Learn more. You may either change the delivery address or delete the item from your order.
The quest continues... I messaged all the Mate 20 Pro sellers I could find on eBay and all except one said unambiguously that they will not sell any Mate 20 Pro accessories. That one seller may offer accessories, time will tell if they follow through.

These were in stock a few days ago on Amazon UK.

Currently on backorder with expected stock date of 9th Nov
And the price has dropped a little (well actually % wise quite a bit)

Still twice the price of a regular 128gb micro sd card

who's going to be the first person to try "adapting" a standard SD card to fit ;o)

Available at China:

Mines out for delivery today. Ordered from DE Amazon to UK.

I also ordered from Amazon DE, original delivery date was 14 November, then last week it changed to 6-8 November. But not yet shipped...
EDIT: now says shipped, delivery on 8 November

Received today form Amazon.co.uk. Fits fine however doesn't come with any kind of adapter to plug into a computer so the only way to put existing stuff onto it is connecting phone to PC via USB lead

Card just received today. Will try and see how it works.

[Q] Importing experience

Hi there
Has anyone who has imported a galaxy tab 10.1 from the states to Europe/UK comment on their experience please, ie how much was duty, tax, VAT, where from etc.
Its just that Im planning on buying one from ebay US since the tab isnt probably going to arrive here in France till after september and I've already been waiting to buy a tab since the original 7 inch tab came out and cant wait anymore!
cheers
You will pay a hefty premium on eBay, sellers look like they are charging way over retail, plus tax when it arrives with you.
It's a bit early for anyone to have any experiences yet, unless they got one from Best Buy in NY last week, but then they'd have probably brought it back in person and may have avoided taxes.
I ordered mine from Amazon via a mail forwarder, should be with me by the middle of next week. Expecting to pay around ~25% of the value in taxes and duty, so anything less than that is a bonus. Still works out to about the same price as the wifi Xoom over here, so I'm happy.
You will need to do research for your country as to what is charged if you want to have any hope of an exact price.
Great I found this thread !!
Amazon isn't having issues shipping to mail forwarders right? Because best buy is, also amazon selling white or metallic grey?
thanks in advance
Cheers
Sent from my Galaxy Tab 7" using XDA App
There is no import duty on the tablet in the UK, but you will pay VAT at 20%. A guy on these forums posted about www.bundlebox.com which is a forwarder. Apparently they offer warranty cover as well. We are discussing it over here:

White are BB exclusive so if it's from anywhere but BB they are metallic grey plasic made to look like metal.
Which mail forwarder do you use?
And which method did Amazon use to ship your item to the mail forwarder?
I have setup mail forwarder (BongoUS.com), but I don't sign the USPS form 1583. So, the mail forwarder cannot accept item shipped via USPS. Anything else, UPS or FedEx are OK.

I'm using Comgateway as the freight forwarder to ship my tab to Australia. I've used them several times and the service was great. They are based in Portland, Oregon..so you don't have to pay any state sales tax. They will ship your item through DHL.
Amazon used ONTRAC when they sent my order and it reached CGW on Friday morning.

Ok, so what will you do if the item is faulty?
You are asking about warranty
Of course this is the risk for people who import because as we all knew, the GT10.1 does not have international warranty.
It is a gamble, but it is not the end of the day.
You can return it, but you must pay the shipment your-self. More or less like this. Fried forwarder will handle return.
So, it is your choice.
It is a big gamble in terms of cost. If it is OK, then good! If it is not OK, it means you must spend more money (return processing).
NOTE: I checked comGateway.com, it seems OK, but I don't find any business address or customer support phone numbers. This makes me think to use their service, although it should be OK (I read some reviews). But, I want to be able to contact them quickly (by phone) if anything bad happens.

Electronics are late & overpriced here, so I guess it's a risk I'm willing to take when importing stuffs If, the product is faulty...most probably will try to contact samsung or return it to amazon.
Ive been looking into the forwarder Viaddress. Has anyone else used them or heard anything about them? They advertise themselves as being much better than the others. Also Im not keen on filling out the 1583 form so Im thinking about using Tigerdirect as they use UPS to ship items as opposed to Amazon where you cant choose your carrier.
update: from what Ive read, Viadress doesnt seem to be a very trustworthy service. I think Im going to go with one of the ones thats been mentioned here instead.
I am going to use TigerDirect as well for UPS shipment.
And for the forwarder, I use BongoUS.com. This is my first time experience.
So far they are ok, support responded my questions quickly, also checked their live chat. And they have phone number where you can contact, also the company address is clearly visible in their website.
https://bongous.com/contact.php
However, to use that, you must pay one time fee $5 (no monthly fee) and your credit card will be verified (by sending a small amount $0.1 - $1.0 and you need to tell them that).

Im looking at using Bundlebox now. They seem very good. All tax/duties are included. Its going to cost me 559euros all up for the 32GB model. I think thats pretty good. How much is it costing you? btw I think we're having the same conversation over 2 threads lol
I don't like the included tax with the forwarder.
Because there is chance their calculation is wrong? Or double charged by the tax office in our country?
So, I want the forwarder to not include the tax. The custom will charge the tax anyway.
Seems safer to me.
I have no idea how much in total because I don't know how to calculate the tax in NL.
I could assume VAT 20% though ... shipping cost to NL would be around $50. .... So, ($500 + 20% * $500) = $600 + $50 shipping = $650 USD = 454 euro ... not bad.
But again, I don't know the tax/duty, never done this before.

There is no duty in France but there is VAT/tax. Calculated on their site its 95euro, which is around the 18.6% VAT charged on goods+shipping costs etc. So its correct. And even if when it arrives I have to pay more, I can just refuse it (unless its only a couple of euros)
On the bundlebox site they show you the tax/duty by country
From their site for NL:
http://www.dutycalculator.com/help_center/Import-duty-taxes-when-importing-into-the-Netherlands/
Thanks for the calculator, I found there is no duty as well. So, it's good
I will order this evening at TigerDirect.

[POLL] [UK] Where did you get/order your TouchPad from?

Just a poll to see where people in the UK have got their TouchPad's from.
EDIT: If you choose Somewhere else please list it in the thread. Thanks!
I've voted under Play.com - but order went through at full price of £349
don't know whether they are now sold out at full price
and don't know whether I'd be able to argue them down to reduced price once it arrives, or whether I'll have to return it.

I'm a 'Somewhere Else'
Today I got my 32Gb for £115 inc VAT through work. Luckily for me I work for a Trade Only IT disti. It's coming on the lorry Thursday, with a hundred or so others for all the guys and gals here (at the office). TouchPad's will outnumber iPads here
Looking forward to this...

If its a legit retail store I dont think you got scammed. They're probably just unorganized. Just like the Fry's in California. I love that store but I cant trust them to get my orders straight.
I ordered immediately after seeing this post yesterday and chose the google checkout option. I received a Google order number but not an Electronics Express one immediately.
This morning, I called them to check if by some 'Christmas Miracle' I was lucky enough to order on time. They couldn't look my order up by number, so they asked the model number. My heart sank when he came back and said, " I'm very sorry sir, but it looks like we will be cancelling this order, we had more than 79 orders come in immediately and don't have that many in stock yada yada and so on."
So I replied, "Ok please cancel my order then."
He then said, "We will automatically sir, and we will send you an email to notify you when we do."
I already have a pre-order in at amazon from when they re-opened ordering on Monday, so I was expecting to have to wait 'till late Jan when I received this this evening:
Hello

Unfortunately for me though, I had my google checkout address set to my old house (moved across town in July), so I'll have to figure out how to reroute it or hold it.
So, I got lucky for once, Hope you all got in on time as well.
Yep. My tracking number from EE/Fed-Ex says 12/23.
I have an EE order number, but it says processing on their website. The funds are on hold in my bank account, so I'm hoping that they're just waiting for it to clear before shipping. I used amazon checkout btw.

I am in the US looking to buy one of these. Any recommended sellers?
From xperia blog they recommend Clove and Handtec from the UK. Handtec seems cheaper (vs ebay for perhaps better returns/warranty).
I'd appreciate any recommendations from people here who have purchased.
Handtec sells for $572. Ebay is closer to $540
If I do get it from ebay (from taiwan or HK), could I run into issues with languages?

I got one from clove. No issues.
Sent from my Nexus 5X
I purchased mines at Plemix for $520 + $28 shipping. Also purchased a Z1 compact there with no problems. Shipping was within 2 days so that's a plus. Currently, there's a free 32 GB memory card special until the end of the month. Haven't really had any issues with them and never really contacted customer service so I can't say anything about that. Not too sure about the returns/warranty but there's info about that on their website.
Thanks. Although from some quick research on Plemix I see some mixed reviews. I'm sure most of these places online are fine if everything goes smoothly. Its really when something goes wrong (ie. item arriving damanged, DOA) to see how it is handled.
I've also noticed that Amazon UK has it for cheaper than Clove and Handtec. The Xperiablog article said AmazonUK does not allow VAT to be excluded but it was excluded when I added it to the cart. Actually, I notice I can buy directly on Amazon US for around $540. I might just do that.

Isn't the one listed on amazon from third party retailers like expansys? I wonder how they handle returns just in case.. any idea??
I got mine from Amazon for $550 and received it next day thanks to Prime shipping. No issues.
I ended up ordering through amazon as well. I decided to save $10 and get the non-prime option. Although I ordered it Friday and it came today. I just wasnt at home to sign for it. (Missed the guy by 10min)
I think the only issue will be if I need to send it back for warranty. I'll have to pay shipping both ways to Hong Kong or Taiwan or wherever the phone originated from.

I live in Australia and have bought the z1 and z3 compact from Clove UK, have bought other tech from Handtek, had no problems or issues with using Australia cell provider, support or anything. I now have the z5 compact which I bought from ebay Quality Deals Store on Ebay when ebay had 20% off store wide recently, got it delivered for a bargain $600 AUD. The phone came quick, set it up in English easy and it works on Australian networks etc. Couldn't be happier ☺
Amazon was perfect for me. These past two weeks has it seldom carry the Z5c as Prime... usually a seller ships some 10 devices to Amazon's warehouses (to be categorized as Prime) but those fly off the shelves. In the past two weeks I have seem some 60 Z5c as Prime to disappear within hours, but if you look daily, they are there.
If you are in the US, at $550 Prime is worth it over ebay's $540 in my opinion; faster shipping and 30 days possibility to return it.
do you need amazon prime account for it? is this different from 3rd party sellers on amazon?
