local files don't play using VRTV or Skybox Pixel 2 XL - Google Daydream VR

I have a few local MP4 files that are for Gear VR. I installed both Skybox and VRTV. These apps do show up in Daydream and I am able to browse to the files in entering either app from Daydream. But when I click on the files both Skybox and VRTV exit and return to the Daydream menu.
Are these files not playable? For some reason I thought Gear VR MP4s could be played on Daydream. Are any of the common VR formats compatible with Daydream?

[Q] Play audio from network share

Hello everyone,
I need some help with an issue I have while using Android on my Xperia U (Rooted, CM 9.1). I have a very big music collection on two different Windows 7 computers, consisted of mp3, mpc, flac, ape, alac files - in many cases with a CUE sheet (flac/ape + cue). Structure is always Artist/Album/(CDXX)/Files. I have a high-res folder.jpg within every separate folder. Using Foobar2000 to play everything while on the PC.
I am looking for a way to play my music on Android. At the moment, I am using ES File Explorer to connect to the LAN share, and then play the music with the integrated ES player. But - no album art, no cue sheet support etc. I also use BubbleUPnP to stream video/audio from Universal Media Server installed on both computers. But I would like to use plain network sharing if possible, not DLNA.
I see that PowerAMP for example has all the file support I need, but I am not sure if it can read network shares. Is this possible? I also installed andLess as a player with lossless and cue support, but only for local files.
I am opened to any solution that will allow me to play my music with the format support same or similar to what Foobar2000 offers on Windows.
Please provide your insights/solutions to this problem.
Thank you and all best.

OldNoise - a VGM player!

OldNoise plays video game music from your ONEDrive.
This is the only app in the store that supports playing vgms instead of letting EmiGens, VGBS, or SNES8X run in the background to play the music of a specific part of your favorite game. Anyways, I've found some issues with the app that the author made that I'd like to see if anyone has an interest in attempting to create instructions for this app. The store description lacks them, and I have no clue how I'm supposed to download music from my OneDrive.

Decompiled Info:
It seems that the app is using several libraries/packages to play various music. That's about it at a quick glance. There is lots of parts that have only 15-20 lines of code only to call something else.
this is how the files will work and how to add tunes to play them
You must add all tunes to your onedrive root,
folders didnt work i tried.
then from the player log in to your onedrive from the settings tab
then select files tab (that read on the top of the screen what tab is open)
and you can see the reload button under the sreen push it and it will search all of your
tunes that are your onedrive then long touch the tune and popup will ask the add song to the playlist.
there you can select and play tunes
I got a pm from the author saying that you can also open stuff from the browser. I haven't had too much time to play with it. My problem is that I have way too many vgms just to keep it at root on onedrive.

suggest an app launcher and free media player that supports .avi .mp4 .mkv .flv

I have got a new Nokia Lumia 1320.
Is there an app launcher to install apps like there are launchers in Android devices?
Is a free media player that supports most formats like .avi .mp4 .mkv .flv? Or that which is free in some countries?
The built-in media player will handle some formats. For others, just do a search on the relevant extension and you should find apps that can play them (I haven't checked, myself).
Nokia has an "App Folders" app which organizes your apps can function as a launcher, but I'm not sure if that's what you mean. Generally speaking, apps aren't allowed to launch other apps directly

Playing Flac files and aptx support on Gear S

Two questions:
Playing flac files on the Gear S with stock Music Player, I am coming up with "unable to play, unsupported file type" error!
1. Is there a music player app that will play flac on the Gear S?
2. Does the Gear S have apt x coding?
I am thinking of buying the Galaxy Gear S and, with a growing number of aptX devices and flac players, I would like to know the answers also.
Anybody have an answer?
Thanks.

Amazon Music: Finding new mp4 Atmos download files, triggering Atmos playback

Hi, I have a question about suggestions for getting my music to play where Amazon isn't allowing me to play it. (Not specifically looking for cracks/encryption bypass.)
Amazon Music (Unlimited subscription tier) now includes an impressive number of Atmos-encoded music releases, including back-catalog remixes.
At this point, so far as I can tell, there are three ways the app will see/download/play these files:
On most mobile devices two-channel playback (e.g. my Pixel2XL)
but with some conditions (downloading, but not playing on Bluestack emulator)
On an Amazon Echo Studio standalone speaker
On a Sonos system
I want to play these files on a device with an HDMI output so I can hear them on my home theater system.
My device options with Amazon Music apps are:
Xbox One
Windows PC
Android TV (Hisense H8G from 2020) (over ARC, possibly the files will pass as EAC3...)
(I have an older phone with root, but it seems authorities isn't the issue.)
The old locations for file download (sdcard/android/ ... data/ or media/; /0/music seem empty of all downloads in the new lossless/Atmos format on my actual phone, though some of my older .MP3 downloads are still there. I'm assuming the new files are just hidden.
The .log file I can see in the filesystem for the instance running on the BlueStacks emulator (/data/.../music) suggests different playback profiles, all using mp4 files for encryption.
Amazon Music .log from bluestacks - Pastebin.com
Pastebin.com is the number one paste tool since 2002. Pastebin is a website where you can store text online for a set period of time.
pastebin.com
In the same folder on the emulated instance, divided among arbitrary-named folders [e.g. 00,01,02...; 0a,0b,0c...] are some mostly-arbitrarily-named files that are the right size and with a few naming hints that indicate they're the music files I'm looking for.
e.g.:
B089N5NK21.UHD96.0
B089N5NK21.UHD96.1
B089N5NK21.UHD96.2
B089N5NK21.UHD96.3
...
So...
I'm going to try exporting these files to another device and see if the Amazon Music apps will play them.
But I'm confused about why the emulated instance will download the files in "Atmos" but only plays them in "HD".
Any other ideas?
(Re: decryption/cracking, I have seen all sorts of advertising for Amazon Music downloaders/decrypters, but what I've tried isn't working due to the Amazon website not detecting a valid browser when the downloader app tries to use my login...)
