Ooooh - which case is that? That looks like a Spigen but I can't see it on their website...

I thought the 6t comes with a screen protector pre-installed. But I do like a glass protector rather than film. Im planning on getting one this Thursday. Should I remove the pre-installed film before applying the glass one or just install the glass on top?

The 6T comes with a pre-applied plastic screenprotector like previous models.
You should remove the plastic screenprotector when installing a tempered glass protector.

Does removing the pre-installed screen protector voided your warranty? I thought I heard it somewhere. Sorry I have been out of the OnePlus game for awhile. My last OnePlus was the OnePlus 2.

No, not at all. And it is still allowed to unlock the bootloader if you want to root the phone or use another ROM, without loosing your warranty. Though if you are from the US and buy from T-mobile there are some other rules I believe.

Can anybody in Europe see OnePlus tempered glass for the 6T? It's not present on their site for me.

I don't think oneplus is providing any tempered glass for 6T yet. I don't even see otterbox case for 6t as well

The worst thing about 3rd party screen protectors right now is that you don't really have a way of knowing how good of a fit they're going to have. I mean this one looks really good and all, but if it's off by even 0,5mm that's something you're going to notice (even if it doesn't seem like that much).

Anyone that has the phone already, how curved are the edges? I'm still waiting for my OP6T and using a GS8+ and the Galaxy is so curved I can't put on a tempered glass safely.

Check for oppo r17 pro screen protectors. Same dimensions. I just ordered a tempered glass privacy screen for it

Since the non-Edge model device seems to have the 2.5D curved edge glass (which is increasingly difficult to manufacturer full-coverage tempered glass protectors for), I've decided to create a thread so we could post any brands we find out there that will be selling this "curved edge" full-coverage type tempered glass protector.

There is one for both s7 and s7e. And both have curved edges.
I ordered the bodyguards one. Even if it isn't on the edge, I think anything I've ever gotten from them has even top notch so I assume this will be too.

Hopefully they don't end up being like the S6 edge where they all that that horrible dot matrix embedded that seriously messed up the view
Ordered the LUVVITT TEMPERED GLASS Screen Protector. I had one on my note 4 and got almost edge to edge protection. Enough so that my otterbox covered it. Waiting for it to ship to see how it works out on the S7.

The Zagg tempered glass are available at Best Buy, I was they had recently sold out on them(small shipment) when I was there though.
In the mean time I bought the Zagg HDX and it clung to the edges(on the reg S7) for maybe 30min at a time before it would lift up, so I don't think those will hold up too long.

KingWolf TGSP?
Searching Amazon, I ran across a tempered glass screen protector by KingWolf, a company I'd never heard of before. It claims:

Have not had any experience with this brand in the past and that cost for a curved glass SP definitely is suspicious but I'll add it to the OP since they explicitly claim it is full coverage. Let's see if anyone tries it out.

from my point of view it would make no sense to produce the glass with ugly black bezels if they would have completely invisible adhesive for application on the screen.
I've brought this one.
It's got huge bezels (the same as the official). If you can live with that great.
It lasted 5 minutes on mine before losing part of my screen annoyed me too much.

Out of interest are you using a screen protector at all? If so which one? I've tried the Orzly (rainbow effect and dust) and also the Nilkin (full adhesion but big gaps) trying to find a happy medium really. I'm currently without a protector but using the Otterbox casing.

I'm not sure how you applied yours but I'm now into 3+ weeks with a Orzly and have had neither of the issues you mention, never did. I couldn't be more please with the Orzly protector especially at that price and still having a second one when the first eventually degrades. I used the application recommendation posted in that protectors thread. I personally could not tolerate a protector that reduced the visible screen for what ever reason.
Update: A spec of dust has gotten under the cover. Too bad as I still like the protector for its feel and protection but the spec of dust is dam annoying.

Try to find a company in Poland that provides "virtual" address in UK and after that delivers the goods in your country. I receive goods from UK in Bulgaria for only 1 EUR (when under 1 kg.) - it is very convinient.

Best of a bad bunch
This doesn't look very case compatible. Is anyone able to comment on this?
Very good tempered glass!
Sorry my english isnt perfect. Mine is come yesterday. I used a lot of others, but they where all disappointing in some way. (black turned into dark grey because of bad transparency and "sharp" edges) This one isnt case friendly I guess, because it protects the complete front.
+ true black colors
+ 2.5D (is quite cool for edge-smoothness)
+ easy to clean
- it isnt the thinnest glass
- makes bigger edges left/right
When you buy it make sure you buy the right one. It must be "Automatic Adsorption" version. They also sell another product where you get 2pcs of screen protectors (without automatic adsorption!).

It's full glue. The main drawback is the bezel. But I'm used to it.

When you say the main drawback is the bezel, do you mean the bezel cuts off a small portion of the screen at the edges? Like if you were to boot into the bootloader, you can immediately see if the text is being cut off at the sides.

The only phone I know of that had a serious problem with the oleophobic coating wearing off was the Pixel 2XL where it wore off for many owners after 6 months of normal use. Certain types of heavy use probably does wear out the coating eventually--I hadn't really thought about that.. Thanks for the response.
I am currently using this TG and it fits well and is very case friendly. I've been changing cases from time to time between Fusion X, Rugged Armor and Liquid Crystal and never had any issues with the glass.

I just reapplied the ni-shen liquid and glass to my mate 20 pro. The first time I had a bubble that bothered me. Just a very small one at the bottom edge, don't think it was even in the screen area. But I applied it just a hair low and it started to pull off on the corner from the case.
Anyway, this time it seems to be perfect. I did have to lift it back off and remove a bubble or two with a paper towel that I had laying under to catch all the tons of extra glue that flooded the buttons and bottom the last time.
The other thing I would mention is that I don't think it's actually glass. I think it may actually be a plastic or similar. It's very smooth to the touch. So feels great on use. It is a bit bendable before applying, that's why I think it may not be glass.

Galaxy S20 Series Screen Protectors.

What screen protectors options are available for the S20 series? Not a fan of cases as the devices are already huge and would want something thin profile and easier to hold. Tempered glass, gadget shieldz, Zagg invisible shield?
tempered glass i've tried 2 so far. the encased uhd glass protector and the olixar tempered glass. both are terrible and have the exact same flaw. for some reason they decide to put an adhesive glue on the fingerprint sensor area. it basically creates a cloudy circle in the sensor area that is horrible to look at and renders the sensor unusable. you get "dirty sensor" errors all the time. i gave up on tempered glass for the moment and went with the spigen neo film. works great, but of course it's not tempered glass...

Whitestone Dome Glass is still the best due to Ultrasonic Finger Print scanner, will likely be better with reduced curved edges this time around.

For the quality of it, the built in screen protector is already great. Tempered glass protectors are almost literally never work worth what they cost, especially for curved screen phones.
Does the S20 plus come preinstalled with a screen protector like the S10 plus?

Yes
I went for a no name brand film screen protector that I also did with my S10 where you peel one side and smooth and peel another side, I saw a different company (most likely from China) with similar installation video so I went with it again. I use to go tempered glass with Nexus 6P, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 3a but this time around I went back to the film one and its been really good, don't even have to increase touch sensitivity and its hardly noticeable that I even had a screen protector outside the camera cutout. With tempered glass you can kind of tell that there is one.
Any feedback on Whitestone Dome Glass being compatible with spigen cases?
Especially rugged armor.

yup.. i have been using the WAY CHEAPER UV-adhesive stuff similar to whitestone dome glass.. works perfect..
except.. it can be a bit messy during installation..
I've had the Whitestone dome on my last 4 phones, and they're the best, bar none. Even on my s20+, there's no mushyness, rainbow effect, the fingerprint sensor works flawlessly, and it still fits my case. Theres a reason they're more expensive- its because they're legitimately good.

It looks like the protector doesn't cover the curved edge or is it just the picture playing tricks?
Has anyone tried the Whitestone tempered glass yet? How is case compatibility with the less curved screens? I am looking to use a quadlock case.

Installed gadgetshieldz full body screen protector on my S20+. The quality is good and the main highlight I like in this protector it protects my camera lens from scratches and it works well with fingerprint without any issues.

Looks nice :good:
How does it feel? Is it smooth, or rough/tacky?
I used Zagg back when there weren't a lot of other choices, but they had an orange peel effect. I prefer tempered glass, but have't found anything for S20+ that seems worth buying.

Accessories Any Good Screen Protectors

Got a deep scratch on the pre-installed protector. Tried this one off Amazon but its not good. Has weird halo bubbles all around the edges.

Bought this pack on amazon (fr) for 10€ there is no hole for selfie camera (I don't selfie so can't tell if it changes any).
There is guide for applying the glass and it fits nicely with the transparent back cover that come with the phone as glass is slimmer that cover edge.
smartphone have been daily in my pocket with keys for 1month+ no visible scratch so far on the front, the back camera one do have a scratch on the macro lens side but doesn't show when I take pics.
the extra mini panels for back is what seems truly protective for me as camera block slitghly stick out of tpu cover
I have installed this one from nilkin and I'm very setisfied

I bought it from your recommendation.
The product is perfect and very easy to install.
It improves the screen quality compared to the cheap stock one.
Thanks you
I know that this thread is a little old but has anyone bought any screen protectors for this phone recently?
cheers

My shipment of Nillkin Amazing CP+ Pro protectors just arrived this week. Besides the usual fussy-ness of installing glass screen protectors, the glass is almost the full size of the screen, just about 1mm smaller on all sides. The glass is fairly thick, but that meant when I had to try to pull it off and reposition the glass, it didn't break and seems fairly robust. The H+ is extra thin, and lots of people complained it cracked very easily, so I went for the CP+. So far I'm happy with the quality. Ended up costing around $10 CAD including shipping from AliExpress.
Thanks for the info...will look into them...
cheers

I recently bought a screen protector for my 11 Lite NE from Gadgetshieldz and it is pretty good. Been using it for a month and I don't see any scratches and also it protects the display.
Thanks for the reply...might have a look at it after I get some that I ordered from Aliexpress...
cheers
