Game Suite for Mate 20 Pro - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Questions & Answers

Anyone know where i can find the "Game Suite" for the Mate 20 pro? or Pie or EMUI 9 or whatever.
On the p20 pro it was great to silence the notifications and the calls during a game, like the Game Center for Samsung ... But i just can't find it!
Thanks beforehand

Its called App Assistant now. On my M20X it's under Apps/Appgalley assistant. If you want a home screen short cut go to settings in app assistant. You may have to give it permission to create short cut

Thanks, was wondering where it went myself

Guitar Pro for the Android

Hi,
I found only one tab reader (Tabdroid Lite)for the Android but its not up to par to 'Tab ToolKit' (iphone os).
I am currently in HK and thus only have a limited access to the market store. Are there paid guitar tabulator apps for Android (besides Tabdroid)?
Cheers,
AndyGuitar
Doesnt seem to be anything in the market other then the pro version of the app you found. Sorry.
Guitar pro android
No news about android version.
They're ignoring android?
Guitar Partner Pro allows you to read, edit, create and play GP files on your Android phone.

Seems to crash with a lot of guitar pro files though...
Guitar Pro's facebook page says it should be out really soon. (Last posted 12/11)
Guitar Partner Pro dindt crash on my devices one time.
Its based on the Tuxguitar source, so i think its reliable.
The only thing, that annoys me about it is the side-scrolling: It only scrolls whole bars. I wish there was a smooth scrolling.
And i wish they had a feature to select tracks. You can only choose beetween the first and all-at-the-same-time.
But until Guitar Pro is released, its a good alternative.
I really think, it is just a matter of time till they make GP for android. They can get a lot money out of it, so just join their FB page for further info and news.
It's coming soon!
"Soon: we're working hard to fix all the issues that remains. We hope to release GP on Android in a very near future. The application is almost done!

Great!!! looking forward for that
Pretty awesome, can't wait till it's released

Ok Google Thoughts and Theory

Hi everyone.
First of all, I am new and this is my first post so please do not bite my head off... I didn't know where to put this... Be nice
I've been fighting the pesky 'OK Google' not unlocking our phones conundrum tonight and I have a thought that maybe someone with much more knowledge than I can follow up on. I wrote a lengthy note explaining it to google but now I can't copy paste from app store. /Facepalm
Anyways.... It goes a little something like this. On my LG V30+ with Android 8, the newest Google app breaks the ability to unlock the phone with voice... It will wake up however. Rolling back Google app and disabling auto updates in store makes it function again. The same cannot be said for my Mate 20 Pro and my Gfs P20 both running Pie. It will wake the phone but not bypass the lock and goes straight to PIN.
For some reason I was on my V30+ looking at Package Disabler App and while scanning through it found an entry called LG Voice Recognition. One of the permissions there is Android.permission.TRUST_LISTENER. and then I remember seeing on my Mate 20 with Pie that there is a section in settings called Trusted Agents. Under trusted agents I see Huawei's Smart Unlock, which is the only thing that will unlock the phone with a voice command.
I looked at the permissions in the Google app and nowhere do I see the line Android.permission.TRUST_LISTENER....
So now I'm thinking if we could somehow get Google app or Assistant into this Trusted Agents, shouldn't it, then, be able to unlock our phones?
Make any sense or am I just being a spaceman?
I just have this feeling that someone at Google didn't get the memo about the new security layers implementation and totally forgot to code something mundane into the app.
Edit: I am in Canada on Rogers network, phone LYA-L0C. Pie 9.0.0.146
So... Like... No one can look .. or tell me I'm full of ****. I really do believe there is a solution here.

How to customize Hiboard

Can't find any option to customize Hiboard. Like I want to make it look like a Google feed.

Anyone?
Think it is regional locked. In EU you get news. However in other region, you only get alarms and calendars.

If you disable HiBoard with adb (package name is com.huawei.intelligent), you'll get the Google Feed option in the Huawei launcher. So rather than customising HiBoard to look like the Google Feed, why not use the actual Google Feed?

This would take a while if you have never used adb before.
Try this guide on using adb to disable/uninstall packages and this thread on uninstalling packages for the Mate 20 series for starters. The package name for HiBoard is com.huawei.intelligent.
The short version is that Huawei enables/disables a variety of features dynamically for different regions (in some cases based on the SIM card inserted), but keeps the core software the same, so forcibly disabling some features you don't like can enable other ones - e.g. disabling HiVision removes the icon from the camera app, disabling HiBoard enables the Google Feed. I was searching for a way to enable Google Feed integration as I'd discovered the same version of the Huawei launcher had the Feed instead of HiBoard on different devices/regions - turns out the system just checks whether HiBoard is present and offers the Google Feed instead if it's not. A very welcome discovery that folks in the thread linked above noticed when installing Google apps manually on a Chinese variant after disabling various Huawei apps.
UnInstalling HiBoard via ADB. Does it affect any other functions? I don't think reinstalling the HiBoard is available.
I have successfully done this to mate 20 pro and mate 10 pro. So far no negative impact. Just ADB uninstall com.huawei.intelligent and restart phone. Then go to your home screen settings and enable the Google Discover page.

I'll try this later, does that mean there is no way to customize Hiboard itself?
I don't even heard about "HiBoard". Mate 20 Pro, Romania.

Having Problmes with Notification Delays

Hi Guys, i'm coming straight from Huawei, now to OnePlus 7T Pro. I expierenced a poor Performance on Notifications. I was a long term iPhone user and i can say on iOS i don't had this problems. Now with my second android device in a row.
It's kind of confusing why Google can't handle this problem.
Anyone has a Pixel Device and can share his experiance with it? It's really kind of anoying that you won't get any notifications until you unlock your Screen / Device.
For example if you sell something on ebay you won't get notification about the Auction till you manually open the app. Then the notifications rush in with the bids on the item.
Also i expierenced the same issue with the Calender App. On iPhone you will get a notification exactly as planed. On Android Devices i really have to manually unlock the phone, just to experience that i missed an appointment.
I will not say that iOS is better, but it looks like Apple can handle they'r Power Management way better than Google.
I have the same problem now with OnePlus as i had with Huawei the Huawei was the Mate 20 Pro with Android 9 and the OnePlus 7T Pro comes with Android 10.
Do i have to change something inside the Device / Power Management to get my Notifications back ? What do i wrong?

I just ditched my ticwatch c2 for a pair of Samsuck Watch 4 classic.. I'll outline what worked for me as a repository for watch 4 (I dunno if it will work with watch 5)..
1. Install Chinese version of wear os.. 2.6.2 is the latest version if I'm not wrong.. it's ok to install older 2.5.5 version from apkmirror.
2. Give wear os auto launch permissions, background running permissions and nearby devices permission.
3. Install older version of Samsuck wearable app (I used 2.2.54.22112861, Dec 2022).. install older version of Samsuck watch4 manager plugin (I used 2.2.11.22012751).. u might wanna try earlier versions of watch5 plugin not from the app store to test what works..
4. U can take this chance to give some auto run permission to wearable n plugin app..
5. Install Samsung Health..
6. Open Samsung health app, do whatever necessary setup to get to main screen..
7. Select 3 dot menu > settings > accessories.. power on ur watch..
8. Click scan for accessory at the bottom of the page n wait for the watch name to pop up.. clicking on it will start pairing process..
9. Once paired, wearable app will open up and start irritating u with all the terms n conditions plus approval to spy on u.. select what is necessary to get through..
10. Wearable will download 2.6.2 wear os (china) and install.. it's a prerequisite, or else it will not finish pairing.. wear os seems to be needed for communication with watch..
11. After wear os is updated, u will see a page with Google's TOS.. uncheck the diagnostics and location and click next.. I never manage to proceed further if I left either diag or location enabled, so just switch both off..
12. Sit and wait for the setup to complete.. once completed, u can go to play store and update the watch plugin to the latest version..
