Pixel Dust ROM is an Android 9.x ROM especially built with Google Pixel features and apps.
The code is based off directly from AOSP. We strive to keep the Pixel Dust Experience as close as possible to Android as Google intended. We add a decent selection of the coolest custom ROM features that would've been missed if they hadn't been included. Thanks to all development teams, e.g. ABC ROM, AICP, AOKP, AOSPA, BenzoROM, CarbonROM, crDroid, DirtyUnicorns, LOS, OmniROM and PureNexus, we borrowed a few features and tweaks from.
The Pixel Dust Crew would highly appreciate if you would take a little of your time and leave your valuable feedback, your honest opinion or just say hello. If you should encounter a bug, or some kind of glitch that seems to be abnormal and you are pretty sure that it is related to the ROM (and not related to any special apps or mods you flashed on top), then please give as many details as possible.

1. How to logcat like a pro
In order to quickly generate a logcat from your device, you require the Android Debug Bridge command-line tool (ADB) which can be downloaded as standalone Platform-Tools package: https://developer.android.com/studio/command-line/adb.html
Once you have established a USB-connection to your device, first check whether you are authorized to use ADB.
Within your command prompt/terminal window the output of this command might look like this:

In case that you will see an error similar to this one (no permissions), then you need to do the following steps.

Do you mean Smartbar? Like, the ability to create a customized Navbar with more functions and the like? If yes, then I do believe the answer is no. I'll let you know when it's done downloading for sure though.

In my Pixel XL fingerprint security is available. So, my guess is that something is missing or didn't work as expected. Currently the angler build is beta, things tend to be broken...

That's a bummer! I really like your approach to the rom.
Still gonna try it out when I get home. But I use the smartbar because I find the phone to big and putting statusbar functionality in the navbar saves me a lot of trouble.

Same here, and I feel the phone overheating.
Looking forward to giving this a try once fingerprint is fixed. I can't imagine being without it since I got this phone
It's faster than other roms.. the only deal breaker is the absence of fingerprint...
I downloaded and installed this along with elementalx kernel and the magnum opus viper4arise open sound system. so far this rom is flawless.........except for missing the fingerprint in security, i have the pixel dust rom on my wifes lg nexus 5x and it has the finger print and works just as well as this does for angler. Great job OP. i dont typically post on rom's, but this reminds me of the functionality and ease of use for all the bells and whistles that i fell in love with back when i owned the original nexus. So, that is to say, other than needing the fingerprint, which if memory serves me right, most people on pixel and nexus were having the same or similar issue even with the stock ota's. so lets go easy on OP, he/she might not have even noticed. especially if he/she dirty flashed it may have kept some of the previous api levels from a previous flash. XP

Groovy! I'm ROM hopping because I can never seem to find all of the features I want in one ROM so I'm hoping this is the one. So far, the ROM will have everything but I can't xposed to work with it, or xposed will work but magisk modules like v4a won't work. Or substratum stuff doesn't work right, like boot animation changing, etc. I really hope this is the one that gives it all to me until moto drops official oreo so all the oreo ROMs get a huge stability boost

Sigh. As badly as I wanted this ROM to be the one, it's not. Xposed Framework installs fine, activates fine, but modules do nothing.

I'll give it another go after the holidays. Right now I'm just sticking with stock + Xposed, and substratum works enough to change my navbar icons to the ones I like so it'll get me through Xmas until I have more free time to tinker with my phone without risking missing important calls or texts from family and friends.
Why is this fantastic Rom sitting all the way in the corner. I love it. It's fast. It has exposed elements embedded without exposed installed. And it has all the settings anyone needs for Nougat Rom. I tried RR 7.1.1. and ColtOS beat it hands down. Bump this up and thanks the auther. Damn good work here. I'm keeping it.

This rom is just too good. It's got every feature you can imagine. And almost all of it is customizable. I have tried a lot of roms and this has to be the most customizable rom ever, period. Also I'd like to add that this rom has the best implementation of dark mode.
Here's a few things to note
1. By default the lockscreen comes with a weirdly styled font for clock and date, but the great thing is you can easily change it in xtended options/lockscreen/decor
2. Stock cam is Gcam and it works great but I found that we need to turn off hdr to make front cam work. back cam is great and the shots are kinda too soft on the front cam, .( I'm not complaining though. I know it's a pain for the developers to get the camera to even work properly in custom roms) hal1 with Moto cam would have been nice.
3. As stated, se Linux is permissive.
4. Passes safety net
5. Cam works on whatsapp(edit: sometimes)
What else can I say, it's been very stable so far(used only for half a day) and this has to be the best rom out there.

Try configuring the ROM. Switch off gestures if you are not using, add play services to battery optimization, turn off NFC if not in use.

This is the first ROM I've tried on G5 plus and I don't think I'm switching to another ROM, it's so good!

Appears there's no haptic feedback at all in this version. Ambient settings works though.

So, I've trying this ROM since day 1 and here are my findings so far as of the latest build:
1. There's no lag and performance is good. There's a LOT of customization options.
2. Battery is draining faster than stock ROM (I've been using D2W, face unlock)
3. Magisk gets disabled & Gapps(nano) gives issues after every dirty-flash (new build or otherwise ). So, both of the have to be flashed every time when a new build is flashed.
Also, the setup wizard runs every time after dirty flashing a build, indicating as if it's a fresh start.

I just happened to do the chop gesture to turn on the flashlight and the phone buzzed and now haptic feedback is working. Thanks!

I did a clean flash, it's running quietly, I realized that the camera has problems with hdr + photos, the rest is very good :Boa:
Excellent Rom, but i realized some flaws. Clean flash, without kernel and xposed. (I was in the RR)
The stock launcher is consuming a lot of battery. I install Nova Launcher and removed the stock launcher and i realized that the battery lasts longer.
The fingerprint take a several seconds (likes 1,5sec) to unlock and wake the screen. More the other roms. (in the Itau APP, my fingerprint its recognized instantly)
Battery life its not so good. I'm getting arround 15% less than in the other roms.
Now i have install the extended kernel, to see if it improves, because this is a really great rom.
That rom is in the my top 3 custom rom for moto g5 plus. If the battery life was better, it would be the best rom, no doubt

Are you going to link the correct GApps? i tried using open gapps stock and it wouldnt boot. do you have to be decrypted?

First off, let me start by saying I flipping love this rom. easily my favorite for the 5t.
second, couple issues.
I did a complete wipe before installing and followed the instructions perfectly.
1. Skype won't stay open and I've no idea why. crashes constantly
2. I am having the same bug I've had on other pie roms for the 5t, where the screen is black, the LED is grey, and the phone won't respond. Only solution is to hold the power button and restart. I'm not sure what's causing this issue, I've had it while doing a number of activities actively or when the phone was sleeping. Any advice would be helpful. I'm using the stock kernel.
3. wearOS notifications seem delayed. Calls not coming through on my watch as is typical.
anyway, give me a holler if you want more details or logs or anything !

I used bitgapps-arm64-9.x.x-0.1-unsigned
yes, I used dmverity and decrypted prior to installing. That's likely your issue.

Do you by any chance have any Magisk modules installed?
I've experienced this with some Oreo roms. Not all modules are compatible with all roms/builds.

FAQs
If you're Coming from another ROM or device rebooted to recovery/fast-boot mod or getting bootloop,
You need Format userdata first (Mandatory) Here is How ? Backup all your internal data first, (Don't blame me you'll lost everything), Go to recovery, Select wipe,Select format data,Type "yes" ( Without quotes),Swipe.You're decrpted now, Now Flash ROM.
Update ROM version:: Just give semi dirty/semi clean flash by wiping Dalvik/ART Cache + Cache + System + Vendor & Flash > ROM + GApps + Magisk (If need Root) + No_verity_V4 ( If want Decrypted )
Encryption:: ROM supports encryption, So don't flash No_verity if want to stay Encrypted also Don't flash Magisk just after ROM & GApps
After Flashing latest build if getting app/settings FCs:: First Describe your procedure of flashing, Dirty, Semi-Dirty or clean. Flash clean if you're getting issue after flashing dirty/Semi-dirty. Provide logs if you're getting issue after clean flash.
Don't report any issue without logs:: How to take logs ? Ask to you're friend................GOOGLE
Feature request:: Please provide me commit/reference of that feature and this/that feature will be implemented if not breaking any other feature.
Kernel:: You can flash any custom kernel what you want, but I'm not going to add, also don't report any issue if you have flashed any custom kernel.
Better battery life:: It's depend on user pattern, Either you can get better battery cost of performance or better performance cost of battery.
Firmware:: Always flash firmware that has been recommended/provided in release post.

I love how smooth this is. The rom is perfect but there's on thing I couldn't live without. The guestures or switching the nav bar around. If this is implemented. Oh my it's amazing.
