On the ofiicial Miui download page https://en.miui.com/download-346.html they publish one rom for all Mi 8 versions.
Is it safe to flash that rom to Mi 8 Lite?
I want to flash global to chinese.
I'm replying to myself with a reply I got on MIUI forum:
On the link that you published, there are firmware only for MI8. MI8light will have firmware with letters - ODTMIFD or ODTMIFH.

Sorry to reply back to this "old" thread.. As @holomouse was saying the page linked above doesn't provide a rom for the Mi 8 Lite anymore.
So my question is: where can I download a global stable MIUI rom for the Mi 8 Lite??
The device (as well as the Mi 8 SE and EE) is not even listed anymore in the download page.... https://en.miui.com/download.html
I have seen somewhere on the MIUI forum that they are about to roll out next update for global at the end of November, so I'm hoping they will make it available for download.

I have Xiaomi.eu 7.9.7, work perfectly. Only Hardware Test not work and one bug when swapping sound for music, alarm, and notification.

Yes, it's Miui 9. They confirmed a long time ago that the last release of Miui 9 will have android 8 and then it will appear Miui 10

Hey Guys,
I got the phone from my Brother,
He asked me to help to sort his phone a bit.
So i installed that MI PC Suite which told me to update Miui.
So i grabed the phone and checked for updates : No Updates available.
MIUI 12.5.7.0 Stable - Global
Android 11 RKQ1.200826.002
which doesnt really look actual.
So how to save all his Files and update this Device ?
