I've been using Facebook Messenger for a long time and I am sick of dismissing its own notifications on the notification panel. This is because when you open a chat head and you actually see and read the message the notification is not getting automatically dismissed!
So here is my question:
Is there any application or any possible way I could remove its notifications but only in the notification panel? I would like to keep receiving them on the lock screen...

I am trying to see if there is way to stop my IM messages (Whatsapp,skype, google talk) from displaying the message content in the notification bar.
When I receive sensitive information I don’t want any part of the message to be displayed in the notification bar. I only want to notified that I have a new message
I have tried turning off the notifications on the notification bar but then I never know when I have a new message.
Handcent does this brilliantly with text message but I can’t seem to find a way to turn it off for Instant messages

Guess there isn't an app for everything
If there isn't a setting in the individual app then I am not sure its possible...at least in a simple way.
Contact the app developers.....for SMS I know handcent has the option to turn off the text in the notification bar.

A wee annoyance, nothing more, but whenever a new text message is recieved it shows a notification on the lockscreen until I open default app, even though notifications are off so they dont appear in status bar. I use chompsms as default and have no reason to open messaging except to get rid of the notification.
Same thing happens with facebook notifications, I do occasionally use that app at least so no biggy.
Any way to disable the lockscreen notifications for text messages altogether? They serve no purpose when "real" notification is in the status bar and clears itself with the chompsms fine.

Is there no way from the lock screen or home screen to see the text notification and simply dismiss it because I have no need to reply. Everything I try still keeps the message active with more reminders. If only android especially LG could just simply make messaging as simple as an iPhone.

I'm searching an app to convert a simple push notification into a full screen notification (like an alarm), but I can't find any app that do that.
For instance, my home camera notify me when it detects motion, but the notification is normal, like when you receive a WhatsApp message, I have so many notifications...
I want to be able to select what notifications (really important ones) should be converted into alarm type notifications
Don you know any app that could do something like that?

Could it be accomplished with Tasker?
Something like... when this notification is received set an alarm 5 seconds after actual time
Or... when this notification is received launch this app (a custom app only displaying a message and playing an alert sound)
