Small sidenote: If you flash the bootloader, it seems you cant go back to android 7.0!!!
How-To flash
Place the Zip on the internal memory.
Boot into recovery
--> Fullwipe if coming from another ROM
Then on install in TWRP
Find the folder where you put the Zip.
And now flash it by clicking on the zip and pulling the slider of the TWRP to the right.
Subsequently reboot
The reboot with a fullwipe usually takes a while - can take up to 10 minutes. So keep calm.:winki:
Bugs
For those who need GPS on a WiFi device, stay away from the CSL1 Beta atm.

Thanks. from very fast and smooth work perfect all?

You should make a note, if you flash to the new Oreo bootloader, you can no longer flash back to a stock 6.01 rom via odin, it will have to be a stock 8.1 rom via odin. It's not a big deal for most, I just wanted to point that out.
Thank you for the rom. :good:

Did you tried it? Ive read in german forum that somebody flashed back to 7.0 after installing oreo. Maybe ive missread something, didnt find it anymore. Ill make a hint in op.

Custom rom or stock rom?

Stock, but didnt find it anymore. Maybe i misinterpreted when i was flying over the posts.

is flashing the bootloader/modem mandatory?
I installed the rom without bootloader/modem. Everything works but It doesn't recognize the sim card and in "information about the tablet" also IMEI is UNKNOWN...am i [email protected]@@@?
i flashed the bootloader/modem still no luck. No Imei and no Baseband show up (sadly i didn't do any backup, my Micro sd got broken 2 days ago).

Try to flash stock fw via odin or try CP via odin, it contains the modem. As ive written in op, LTE version is completley untestested. So nobody confirms here if ot works or not.
And please, before you start flashing, make a backup (EFS too).

Bad part about having the P58x line is that not many people make nice modded roms like this.

I just flashed the rom for my SM-T580, no issues, works great. :good: Based on that, the modem and bootloader are not required for the Wi-Fi variant.

Se puede poner la sd como memoria interna en esta room???GRACIAS

Please use english language and/or an translator. Thx.:good:
For your question: I can't. It has been removed since Marsmallow or Nougat. Maybe there are some mods for that, i dont really care about it. Sorry.

You can roll back to 7.0 btw. I did just that prior to installing this snappy wonderful rom (thanks a lot again).
I went back to 7.0 DBT from the official 8.1 DBT by flashing 7.0 T580XXS4BRI1 DBT through odin. (tried another variant, didn't work)
Anyway here's a mega.nz mirror if anyone wants it.

Hi. I used root essential to use adoptable storage. It requires root and a custom recovery. Also after using adoptable storage the memory show in storage wont be exact but dont worry you get to use the sd card as internal storage.

yes i did so today, with patched odin 3.13.1_3B but now i'll try the moded 8.1 from hanspampel, hopefully root will work 100% TB allways says no root... ????? Thanxx on this way to all Developers and Crack's

TiBu works with Magisk 17.3 Beta. Had the same probs with 17.1 stable. TiBu always says i had no root, other apps are working. 17.3 fixxed it. That is why i use it in my ROMs.
And it seems the t585 version not to work. There are more guys who is the SIM card not detected. Ill try to solve it when i had some time and find the bug. Its hard to find something if you dont own the device.

Great rom

New update G850F

Just downloaded a 358mo update on G850F unbranded France
So?
& info
any improvements?
Any changes..??
Just had the update too. I didn't notice anything going better or wrong since this morning.
The Samsung app 'Smart Manager' appeared on my home screen.
I also had the update notification today. Here's the changelog on the installation screen :
- Security breach fix
- Smart Manager function
- General performance improvement
- Battery life optimisation
- Device security improvement
Update also available in Portugal (358,35MB)
Still Android v5.0.2.
The Smart Manager has a device security function provided by Intel Security (a kind of anti-virus that searches for potential threats). Also a new function "Samsung My Knox" that allows to create secure workspaces (I don't know what it does, didn't installed).
Tried to root it?
Can it be rooted with KingRoot?

Where can i download and install it with my pc ?
I rarely update. I'm still on 5.0.2 and the kernal is from august....that was the last update I did. I never see any point in it. And everything runs fine.
The new update is orobably a security update that fixes StageFright exploit.

20160118 PHN Update
Bringing my cents to the table.
Last night i updated to this latest version:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/64361/G850FXXU2COL1_G850FPHN2COL1_PHN/
Got it rooted with CF-Autoroot.
When i tried to restore the backup taken with Titanium backup it got hung for several hours at 0%.
Should someone encounter similar behavior the solution is to disable "Mount namespace separation" in SuperSU.
Hope this helps to someone. I have spent 2 very nervous hours fuguring this one out
You managed to root it with CF-Autoroot? It's a pretty new firmware I see, that is great news! I only managed to root the new roms by using an older kernel!

the trick is to use the zip file from chainfire's web site. it contains Odin and more importantly the .ini file especially modified for it's root package.
basically there is absolutely no reason why it should not work regardless the kernell
// sorry for my English, I have the mother of all hangovers today
Believe me I've tried that with COI3 variant and at that moment in time it didn't worked, 2-3 months ago.
Later edit: The process involved flashing an older kernel then simply flashing SuperSU. I've put a link in my signature.

[Solved] Updating from stock 6.0.1 (32.2.A.0.305)

Hey guys, I'm actually running official 32.2.A.0.305 build, downloaded using XperiFirm. I use my carrier build (Orange FR).
My phone is a big mess (old systemless root, old magisk build, ...), so I plan to update to make a little cleaning.
For now, my carrier (Orange F) only provides 32.2.A.5.11-R14C ( https://xpericheck.com/device/E5823 ).
There is another french build, called "Customized FR", with firmware 32.3.A.0.376-R3D.
So, my questions are:
- Is it better to wait an update from my carrier, or the Customized FR build will be fine?
- If I update to Android N, is this tutorial usable to grant root access? (I know there is no xposed for Android N yet, but I can live without it, as GravityBox is the only module I really need)
Thanks
Bump
I found this and this.
Is it better to use last Androplus kernel or stock "modified" kernel?
Thanks
Hi, I've updated to 32.3.A.0.376-R3D Customized FR, and it's working like a charm. Installed AndroPlus Kernel, and a TWRP build found on XDA.
Solved.

LeTV LeEco Le Max 2 X829 ROMs/TWRP

I am getting the LeTV LeEco Le Max 2 X829 US version soon. There are versions of TWRP/ROMs posted for the other LeTV LeEco Le Max 2 variants, so I am not 100% sure that they are compatible.
In particular for the x829 I would like:
-Link to working TWRP recovery
-Link to Proper SuperUser Zip
-AOKP based ROM (Lineage, CM...)
I found this TWRP link, but I do not know for 100% that is is compatible.
https://dl.twrp.me/x2/
Read the forum. All roms works on any max 2.

Every ROM from X820, X821, X822... work in X829 and same with the recoveries.
To get root you can flash latest SuperSU flashable zip or you can flash Magisk (with this you can run some apps that doesn't work with root).
Lineage and CM are now the same (Lineage) and they aren't based on AOKP (Android Open Kang Project), they are similar to AOSP (Android Open Source Project) but with some additions.
I hope this will help you, regards

Do you have the X829? What ROM do you have running? What version of TWRP? At the very least, is that the correct TWRP?
https://dl.twrp.me/x2/
A lot of the comments I read on the ROM threads was "should work with the X829". That's why I'm asking.
My biggest concern is bricking it, or even IMEI getting wiped. On my Elephone P8000, the stock rom has an internal IMEI writer tool. The X829 doesn't look to be as straight forward to restore IMEI. As long as I can full backup ROM/nvram, and safely store it somewhere I should be ok. Just trying to cover all my basis
Any rom will work. I have x829 and used this guide and links for twrp. Tried most of custom roms and none as as stable imo as the Indian official rom. I use nova launcher on every phone anyhow so always looks same anyhow. I get around 5 hours sot and play games quite a lot.
Finger sensor is a bit poor but if I use the fingerprint calibration it seems to be much better.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-max-2/how-to/protocol-backup-stock-rom-flash-stock-t3517151
I rooted 2 x829 4/64gb phones using 3.1.0 so your link is correct
For super su I used the latest version zip (2.79) download from their website http://www.supersu.com/download
For roms I ended up going back to stock us 16s because it's by far the most stable in my case atleast. Using xposed and some modules to get customizations.
I'll add that x829 folks shouldn't even bother trying other ROMS at the moment, if WiFi calling is important. I've tried a few of the most popular ones on my x820, and none of the other ROMs seem to work properly for this feature, even though it shows up as an option in some.
Root it, get rid of the LeBloat, put a different launcher on it and call it a day.

Randy, I want to follow your advise with my new x829. Not having any luck identifying how to root this phone staying on stock EUI with stock recovery. Do I need TWRP recovery for root only? I haven't touched the bootloader. Thanks much!

There's no point in staying with stock recovery. You'll never see an OTA update with the x829 ROM anyway.
Install TWRP and root with SU through that. If you ever change your mind down the road and want to install something else, at least you'll be ready for it.

Done. EUI isn't the end of the world, with a descent launcher it's not bad. I was able to flash xposed and got gravity box for better nav bar control (long press home to sleep + keep lit when screen is on) and xhangouts for dark/color themes.
Amazing phone for the $. Not just the internal specs, processor, RAM, fp sensor, gyro, etc, but a solid external build as well.

How are you friend Valera! ?? First of all I appreciate this new port of samsung oreo. It is much better than the previous one due to the fact that it is from tablet to tablet. I installed it 2 hours ago and everything is wonderful, I'm probably my daily driver from now on. I will comment on bugs that I have found, some already mentioned in the OP. Camera does not work
- processing error when starting samsung account session
- blue filter
- gps seems to work
- I have a book cover and the screen does not turn on or off with the magnet
this is all for the moment, while I will continue watching a series in netflix with chromecast that works well in this rom, also the smart view. Thank you! It is a huge job!
Great ... I'm waiting port for t585 version. Good day!
which branch do you use ?? the TouchWiz-8.0? also if the book cover feature isn't working, i saw that the feature isn't enabled in your defcon.
Good morning!
I continue with this rom and it goes very well, but I have found one more problem and that is that the bluetooth is not activated.
Thank you very much for your great work!
Thanks man!!! Btw, can you add navbar? I reqlly would like to see ìt on a touchwizz rom for the tab a??
Nice work Valera. Waiting for t585 version hope you will fix camera also :good:
Hi all
Added port for lte version too.
Also I added small patch - I had remove encrypt data\sdcard, it's really annoying for me - I need backup\restore firmware, because I often back to los 15\16 and then back to port.

Today there was a new stock 8.1 firmware for the P580 (same as our but with s-pen). This is our related tablet with same hardware. As result now we have ideal fully worked port. Right now for T580 only, soon I'll finish it for T585.
This is good, and I hope soon we will get original stock firmware too.
Another great news... btw spen futures can be removed? Because it is unuseful for T585.
On Sammobile you can download original 8.1 FW for p580, p585.

And apparently the official rom oreo for our Tab A T580 / 585 will be launched soon, or so we hope. Maybe this will help future development.
Thank you very much Valera!

OFFICIAL LINK - GLOBAL ROM STABLE V10.1.1.0 (PIE)
http://bigota.d.miui.com/V10.1.1.0.PEAMIFI/miui_MI8Global_V10.1.1.0.PEAMIFI_60a2522efd_9.0.zip
Unlocked bootloader folks can flash with TWRP like normal
Bootloader locked folks that want to update:
*You MUST be on 10.0.2.0 Stable to use the built-in updater app.
*If you are on 10.0.3.0 Stable, since it was officially revoked, so you must downgrade to 10.0.2.0 (a data wipe is required) then can updgrade to the 10.1.1.0
NOTE:This STABLE ROM still missing a few of the functions of the latest GLOBAL BETA 8.11.29
Changelog:
System:
Restore Updated Android Security Patch To October 1, 2018
Restore Updated Android Security Patch To November 1, 2018
Camera:
Add Studio Lighting For The Front Camera
Optimize Camera's Stability
Settings:
Optimize Screen Brightness In Reading Mode
Optimize The 'Tap To Wake' Feature Works Faster Now
-I'm sure there is more, they never mention all of the changes -even in the Beta's they don't mention important fixes (like Android Auto was fixed).
Enjoy

Users have reported you can downgrade with the built-in updater to 10.0.2.0 but they needed to wipe data to get it to boot-up. Then once booted allowed the upgrade. (this is also written in the OP you quoted )

Thanks a lot dude, my final dumb question, the data wipe must be done with the Miui recovery or can i select the wipe data option from the built-in updater ?

I believe they do the same thing (telling it to wipe should reboot you to the recovery), so it shouldn't matter. I did not have the 10.0.3.0 so i'm relying on what was reported to work.
Hi! Is it possible to install the update from TWRP if you are on 10.0.3.0 safely or is it mandatory go back to 10.0.2.0 first?

With TWRP, i haven't seen any issues flashing any Global ROMS, it should work without issues. Worst case scenario maybe have to format data if it doesn't boot.

Bootloop I am trying to flash 10.0.2 because I do not want format data...
I have just had a heart attack. I was reflashing 10.0.2 when I realized all the matter about antirollback... I was in panic so I stopped the flash (I was doing it through ADB) and I checked the fastboot getvar anti, and I got "1" so now I am trying to reflash 10.0.3 and I will not touch anything else... I will let you know if something goes wrong.
Bootloop again :/ I supposed I will try to install the 10.0.2 with miflash. Does anybody know how I could avoid format data in order to have magisk and 10.0.2?
I had to format data but I am still stuck on bootloop
I'm on 8.11.29 any concerns about ARB, and what about battery life is it any better than on global beta ?

Okey, I am getting nervous. I have tried with miflash and I am still stuck on bootloop (could I have bricked the phone? I mean, this looks like softbrick but I am not sure...). I am going to try with a full format... but if anybody can help I will be grateful
Oh no..
I am on 10.0.3....
Does this mean Xiaomi will not release a Update for this version because it was revoked?
I dont want to loose all my Data...

Me too, many people are on 10.0.3 so I don’t think that will be a issue for us, they will release it maybe in few days.
This new version FIX THE NOTIFICATION?
Is the optin ti hide the notch available?
any 10.0.30.0 user with unlocked bootloader success update via twrp?? like other user, im concern to not lose my data..
If you are already on 10.0.3.0, probably it would be better to wait for a few days in order to get an OTA, rather than risk yourself downgrading to 10.0.2.0 and lose all your data.
