Hey folks, forgive me if there is a repost on this. But I have not been able to locate it. So i have an at&t SM-G930a with android version 8.0. I can see in some of the other threads the root instructions that work for 7.0. I was wondering if there was one for 8.0. My phone just came off of warrenty and is acting buggy as of late. So I figure I can risk rooting at this point. Bare with me as im pretty new to rooting. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm looking to root my really old galaxy S2, but I'm not sure how to do that even after reading this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1505172). I read through most of it, but because I don't know where to go after looking for the kernel that my phone has.
When I look under "about phone" my phone says Android Version 2.3.6, Kernel Version 2.6.35.11-1209942. My kernel version didn't have a "XXK#" so I didn't know what to do, and I'm not tech-savvy enough to know what to do if I mess up. As such, I'd appreciate any, and all help about rooting my phone. Hello everyone i have a rooted sgh-1337m, it is currently on 4.2.2, what steps do i need to take to get to 4.4.2, do i unroot first and then ota update then root again, or is there a more efficient way. Sorry if this comes across as a "dumb" question im new to this android stuff. thank you very much please be as detailed as possible. Thanks!

I understand there is no straight forward procedure on how to root 5.0.2 currently and we would have to revert back to 4.4.4 and flash the stock Lollipop.
I guess my question would be is has anyone already tried to use the guide in this link?
I found it posted here in xda somewhere but I can't seem to find it again.

I am in need of root since I am hating on how Lollipop sounds in my earphones and would like to use V4A.
I'm new to rooting and phones in general, I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy SIII (SGH-T999L) off the streets I wanted to root it however I keep finding different firmwares and I'm afraid I might flash the wrong one and brick the device, I wanted to see if anyone could point me in the right direction here.
Model: SGH-T999L
Android version is 4.3
Baseband version is T999LUVUBNF4
I keep checking around but not a specific "LUVUBNF4" root firmware is available I wanted to know what is the equivalent of this firmware and where can it with root access already in it, thanks in advance.
