Huawei Mediapad m5 - desktop view and scale/dpi settings - Huawei MediaPad M5 Questions & Answers

Hey,
I've got a Huawei Mediapad M5 10.8 Inch. The standard scale settings are to big for me. It looks like it was made for People with low eyesight. Luckily you can set the size in the settings menu.
But in Desktop Mode the size is still to big. And when in Desktop Mode, the Settings for the scale are deactivated. You can also check the scale in the developers options by setting the smallest width. By default it is set 606, but I would like to set it to 800 or something like that. But when I change the settings from 606 to 800, the settings won't apply and change back to 606.
Is there any possibility to change the scale in Desktop Mode? Because with this big scale, for example Chrome doesn't show any tabs.
Thanks a lot and greetings,
Jannik

Same here, im trying to do the same, Huawei should put more settings for desktop mode

Nobody able to help? Or is there no possibility to solve this Problem?

[Q] Increase Lite Tile Columns?

First off, loving the Titan so far. Upgraded from the Focus and there have been very few issues.
With a screen the size of the Titan's, is there a way to programmatically increase the number of columns on the home screen? Two is fine but three columns would be even better on this phone.
Ideas?

There is not and it seems unlikly to change, at least while the horizontal resolution of all screens is 480. (Adding a third column would require shrinking tiles, somehting that every app would need to acomodate. Tiles are 173 pixels square and three of them would be 519 even without space beteen them.
Might it be possible that extra columns could come in the future? No one knows, but there may be some reasonably solid usability arguments for not doing so. Personally, I'd like to see a "tweakers" settings that frees up more of the phone to users who want it while leaving the current "basic" features for those who don't want to control everything.

[Q] Screen resolution and contacts

Not doing, but screen resolution.
When I change the resolution to 600x1024 I lose the option to set a custom ringtones for a specific contact. Changing back to default and I get the option back. Dpi changes doesn't affect the options.
Is this a known thing? Any other way to allow me custom ringtones per contacts?
Thanks

What's the native DPI

I changed the DPI trying to see if it'll make a few things look better and didn't write down the original settings. Can someone let me know what's the stock DPI in the developer options. I have it set to 700 right now but some menus don't look sharp including the fingerprint icon on the lock screen. Thanks in advance.
800 dp is the default value, if your Screen zoom (in the display settings) is set to minimum. And by the way if you turn off the developer options, all changed settings will be reset to its default options.

Monochromatic problem

Hey there,
I tried to turn my display color range to monochromatic in devveloper options and with app "Monochromatic". But everytime i turn display off, color range is back to all colors but monochromatic setting is checked.
Any idea how to fix that?
Thanks
edit: I have Huawei Y6 Prime 2018 (ATU-L31) with Android 8 (EMUI ATU-L31 8.0.0.151 (C432))
It's a Two-Switch Job

In developer options, the option you select (Simulate Color Space or SCS) overrides the choice in the Accessibility Menu option. I use this option a lot, especially at night. It's a two-step process.
Go to Accessibility, scroll down to Color Filter, and toggle it. You won't be able to see options, and a note that says "Overriden by Simulate Color Space" should show. It should stay mono even after wake.
Color Space only affects your perception of the phone. It does not alter the phone's perception of its surroundings. If you take a photo using SCS, it will still be a color photo when you take it.

Apps not in full-screen settings

After the Android 12 upgrade, there are no apps (just some random 4 and 5) in the list to change the setting for full-screen display.
I have couple of IPTV players that I do not want in full screen and there is no place to change the behaviour. Or I am blind?
Does anyone know?
thx
