Can't update to miui 10 from miui 9.6 - Xiaomi Redmi 6A Questions & Answers

I just bought a redmi 6a china rom device. It has the miui 9.6 china stable rom installed on it. I went to check for update it says no update available. Then i downloaded the stable china miui 10 and went to flash through recovery and it gives me a error like "Can't verify update. Rom is still in beta" although i downloaded the stable version twice. What do i do now?

Boot on recovery mode > mi assistance
Run Mi Flash Pro and wait to identifind the phone
From Mi Flash Pro tool > Select Recovery
and wait to identifind the phone (IMEI numbers)
Go at the 3 dots and select the recovery rom
Start flash
I hope the problem is solved

Well i tried and it still says the same

Yesterday I got the same message for MIUI 10.0.12 global and I didn't want to upgrade just yet but this morning it showed message "the system updated automatically" and now its running MIUI 10 instead of 9.6 global, so far no problems whatsoever.

I have also bought Chinese version and it gets miui 10 update after following day... Now can i flash global stable version after unlocking the bootloader using mi flash tools? Anyone did that? Does it work?

yup i did it myself, use the tgz file tho i.e. fastboot rom

rom 77.1 and malware

i've this rom on my redmi3 bougth from MI-Italia.
It worked fine from June until a few days ago when it starts automatically browser with strange pages of download or porno. If I press Home it works well, but after pages come back.
So I would install a good rom.
I've not yet requested unblock to xiaomi (how can i do it?) and i've seen some guide to install a global rom with italian.
But I'm afraid to make mistakes cause in this time i need phone, so i'm searching any other way to resolve issue.
If I make backup, then factory reset, then restore to my backup, maybe issue would be resolved?
Any other suggest?
thanks

You can install official Xiaomi Global rom with MiFlash. 77.1 rom is sellers modified rom, I recommend change it as fast as you can. Have you got Redmi 3 on Android 5.1? If yes download first rom.
.......
You only have to install rom in download rom, not in fastboot rom, becouse you have locked bootloader.

I had a similar issue with my Note 4 SD Global. I was on Global Stable 8.2.10.0 out of the box.
How I solved it...
Download the latest Developer Rom from HERE and make sure you transfer it to the DOWNLOAD folder on the phone.
It should now verify and install the Developer Rom. :good:

Thats what i was thinking, on previous versions updating to 7.2.16 works as i did on my note 4, but as you are saying updating to latest version ia working. Will try and update.
i also faced the same issue with my Redmi Note 4 SD, when I tried upgrading to global developer rom and first time when i selected the zip, it worked fine but gave warning that all my data will be deleted so I stopped the update to back up data. And when i tried to start update again from the updater app, it is giving me the same message: "Can't verify update package" error.
Anyone who can help?

Download again it will work for sure. One time downloaded file can only be used one time. Because the updater app is very sensitive.

thanks man! even though the file got decrypted after trying many times.
i successfully upgraded to developer ROM using the same file. So, the problem could be with Xiaomi servers.

Once you decrypt the update package and if it didn't install you cannot share it or install it again through MIUI updater or TWRP you will have to download it again

How to go from Stable to Developer rom?

I am currently running MIUI 10 China Stable and have a locked bootloader, I would like to install the official China Developer ROM, does anybody know how I should install it correctly?
well according to the information on MIUI forums you need an unlocked bootloader for the fastboot flash method.
https://en.miui.com/thread-4765806-1-1.html
Can't use local update to go from stable<>developer and vice versa.
You can just download the recovery rom from MIUI forum and use the updater option "Choose update package" to change to developer ROM without needing to unlock bootloader. The tablet however will need to be wiped upon flashing the new ROM.
I don't think there are any..
https://en.miui.com/thread-4765806-1-1.html
This is the latest China development rom
Right but then why would they state
Note: China Stable users, please upgrade via fastboot mode.

I got to the developer ROM, but now I want to go back to the stable ROM and I don't know if I can because of anti rollback. The developer roms anti rollback status is 1, does anyone know what the stable roms is!

Need 9.2.15+ dev firmware without flashing whole room.

So after checking the Xiaomi firmware site (didn't work, flashing the weekly firmware just appeared as stable) I haven't been able to get the developer firmware.
Does anybody know where I can get a hold of it without the MIUI ROM.
(It's needed for the latest Pixel Experience update and it isn't included with the update)
Title is meant to say MIUI ROM not room, autocorrect sorry.

Always go here for latest vendor firmwares
https://mirror.akhilnarang.me/MIUI/beryllium/
and never use beryllium-V10.1.3.0-9.0-vendor-firmware.zip - this is an older version, even though the version number is higher than 9.
