100% Original Smart Window View Leather Flip Case Cover For Huawei Mate 20 Pro X - Huawei Mate 20 X Accessories

I purchased the subject case (search ebay on that title and can see what comes up). It is the Huawei specific huawei labeled case. It was 34.95 and arrived faster than I yought it would (2 weeks). I know there are other cover and flip threads(s) but this one is different (for me at least)
I have had many larger phones from the original the old mini-tablets. I went "small" on the OnePlus6, but it is pretty good size and a good company (for mod'ding etc.), but have bounced betweem Huawei (Matre 9) to Xiaomi (many Mix's and Max's). My one real requirement is a good cover case so I can drop in my front pocket and keep it covered and preferrably not pull too much crap out when I remove it. That and I need to get to the figerprint sensor without diving through thick layers of pseudo-pleather.
I have typically been happy with the Niilkin cheapest cover case (thin, thin, thin) and if it wears our in 6 months, oh well.
We'll the mate 20x hasn't been in circulation that Niilkin even had a case, so I actually cut out a Xiaomi Max 3 case for the right cut outs as a temp.
Then the Huawei Flip Cover Window case came in. Like I said thin and cheap is good enough for me, but .... wow.
I have never really been this happy about a case. perfect fit of course. Nice smart cover (time and foot count, better than my typical no window cases), and amazingly easy to hit the finget print sensor. It looks good and just works. And despite being thin it still has a kickstand. Does it cover the beautiful blue phone. Yes, but I always had and liked black phones .
Yes $35 is more than my typical $15 but worth the extra $20 easy. I already ordered a second if/when I wear this out.
I'm a Happy Camper

Does the case have any magnets anywhere? I know the other kickstand case has a magnet on the back, which makes me hesitate to use it. Magnets and electronics don't mix imo

Unfortunately for your concern, it does have a magnet to keep the kickstand back attached when using as a typical cover case.
Since it works with the smart cover setting, I assumed it has another magnet also.
Sent from my HWEVR using XDA Labs

All this covers here also have the wake and sleep function.
Really, really good quality to [emoji1303]

Matty mo's review: Seidio convert case (combo)

So when I first received the new Seidio Convert Case, I was pretty excited. I thought it couldnt get any better then the Active case Seidio makes but I was wrong, dead wrong. The Convert case is practically two cases in one. It’s a Seidio Surface, with an add on silicone inlay that goes over that, and then an exoskeleton that goes over that. O and if that isn’t enough, you’re getting a waist clip, which your phone goes into for easy access, and a Seidio Screen Guard. Providing the maximum in protection, this case makes the Otterbox weep in shame. I used the case as a the Surface case first for a day, and it is great, its light weight, easily removed and provides just the right amount of protection for the light weight and little size it adds to your phone.
The silicone overlay, covers all the ports to the phone, headphone jack, speakerphone, and volume rocker. The only access that is open to the elements is the screen and camera toggle switch. Even the back cameras are protected by a silicone cover, that covers the cameras while not using and while in use, can be clipped into the case, keeping it from moving around. Now I know most people have problems accessing the ports, while the are covered, but these port covers have little grips on the outside so you can easily pull them up from covering the ports themselves, this makes access extremely easy and quick. Now my biggest gripe with the Otterbox is that the covers for the ports always ripped or tore off within the first week, but with Seidios silicone there is no sign of ripping or tearing in sight, which is a major plus! This only confirms in my mind the quality of Seidio’s products.
The waist clip/holster is another bonus, once the phone is clipped into the holster, you can lock it in, so no matter what you cant unlock it, providing you with the comfort that the phone isn’t going to pop out, like so many of my phones have down before. This clip, on top of the surface, silicone and convert skeleton makes this case the most rugged and provides the most protection, the best of both worlds.
The screen guard on the phone, which no matter what, I always buy for my phones, is amazing as well. Clear and smooth as glass. Covers the whole screen including the four home buttons on the bottom, which the Sprint OEM guards don’t do. I really like how the screen guard covers the whole screen, because unlike most cases, the whole screen is open for use, none of it is covered from the case itself.
Since using this case, I have dropped my phone twice and unlike other people’s reviews on the Convert case for other phones, the exoskeleton is still in tack with no sign of abuse. My phone is completely scratch free, like I expected it to be.
However, after that, I used it as the Convert, and have been for the past week, and I will never use another case. Although, the only two down sides that I have with this case is that it adds a little bit of size and weight to the phone. But for the amount of protection you’re getting in return, it’s a fair and well worth trade. The second downside, which isn’t even that big, but, should be noted is that the silicone inlay does attract a little bit of lent, while in the pocket. besides that, I really see no downside to this case.
I would have to say after using this case; I would give it a 9.9/10. And would highly recommend it to anyone I know!

How much was this case ?
This case is retailing for $69.99 with the holster, without the holster it costs $49.99. For the protection your giving your phone its totally worth it.
Isn't this case similar to the platinum series case from bestbuy ?

Just an FYI, it is $49.99 for the case with a holster for the convert case, the $69.99 is if you want a holster for the smaller case too.

It's the same thing. I bought mine at BB but it didn't come with a screen protector which was fine with me since I'm a fan of InvisiShield. I wish that it did come with a holster for the surface case though.
Good review!
That case is worth every penny.
Best prices I've seen
This is for the convert combo like the review above:
http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-BD4-HK...9LR0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1311006177&sr=8-1
and this is for the convert combo value pack:
http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-BD5-HK...9LPC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1311006177&sr=8-1
What makes the value pack different is that it comes with an extra surface holster so if you wanted to, you can rock the covert/holster for max protection or roll with the surface/holster for less bulk. Depending on what protection or mood you are in for the day.
For a couple of bucks more I went with the value pack. Oh and this bundle also includes 1 screen protector.
btw, nice review.

Nillkin Fresh Case (Short Review)

** I will post some pictures later today - I'm at work currently **
The Nillkin Fresh case came about 2-3 days ago and I was quite excited. But that was short lived. The case is a faux-leather flip cover case with a thin plastic shell on that clips to the phone. It looks decent enough, but I have some problems with mine (possibly QC problems):
The case though didn't completely fit!! Along the right side (near the SD/SIM) it is a bit warped - not bad or noticeable unless your looking right at it and for it.
The case is held closed by a magnet, but the magnet on the flip cover is quite small which then requires it to be precisely over the other pole or it does nothing. Not a big deal, but I wish this was thought out better.
Additionally, one of the main features of the case is (link below) how the case being used as a stand. The flip cover is a tri-fold design which should act as a stand but I haven't had much luck with it. The inside of the seemingly leather flip cover is a soft touch, almost suede, material that is quite slippery. This plus the fact that the case seems to be needing to be broken in makes for the "stand" feature unusable... it falls right over currently. (I have tried multiple configurations).
Over all, I bought the case on eBay for $9.99 with no shipping cost (ships from china - companies home country) and it took about 15 days to get here (in the US). Not bad, but I am already looking for a replacement that will make my device feel premium again rather then cheap.
Would I recommend this case? Yes, but only as a temporary case until more come out - like the official Sony cases or a case from Incipio (link below).
** Complete side note: I had a Nillkin case for my old Nexus 4 which only lasted a few short months because the leather started to peel away from the flip cover! I knew this would be a temporary case when I bought it, so keep that in mind!
http://www.nillkin.com/english/proshow.asp?mid=2&sid=0&tid=0&cid=1&scid=13&id=3526&page=1
http://www.incipio.com/cases/smartphone-cases/sony-smartphones/sony-xperia-z-ultra-cases.html
I was fortunate to get to try that case out and many others (being in hk and china) - and I posted about this case. It's unfortunate you didn't read my post and what case eventually went with in the big Z ultra case thread.
This case is definitely not recommended if you want one to work well with desk stand, and want to use the trifold ipad style cover as a stand.
The snap-in style plastic mounts doesn't make it easy to pop in and out of to use the desk stand, and the plastic mounts are shiny thus looks and feels cheap.
Finally, the cover doesn't even come close to the quality and feel of the ipad cover, even the vinyl kind. The material is stiff and plasticky and most importantly doesn't fold together to function as a working stand at all. It will unfold/collapse and fall over.
In addition, there's an issue with the the magnet. With the magnet closed, there is a gap between the last third of the tri-fold cover and the phone's screen. This gap exists because the case (mold or design) is not the right fit - the wider flap makes it essentially unable to align with the opposing magnet. If you try to push the flap down to get rid of the gap, you inadvertently push/slide the magnet off and the cover comes loose. In practice, the magnet will never be engaged because you'll always push the cover down somehow (pocket, bag, stacking something on top).
The only Nillkin I recommend is the http://www.nillkin.com/english/proshow.asp?mid=2&sid=0&tid=0&cid=1&scid=13&id=3516&page=1 shield case. I ended up buying the black one for scenarios where I don't want a flip cover. The fit is good, texture is good (good grippy backside), and it doesn't look too cheap (no shiny plastic). It's decent protection for rougher than usual situations. There are sections where there's a thin piece of plastic on the edge of the phone (like over the usb flap) where it feels weak, cheap and easily breakable. Besides that only issue, I like this case as a back-up.
For a flip cover case that works well with a desk stand, actually stands up, and feels decent quality - I recommend Kaso and Krussell. I went with Kaso as a cheaper alternative for now.
So I guess it's not just me... which is kind of a bummer, but I have already found a replacement. Now if only October 22 was here (my Birthday) I could get a new case!
Thanks for the replay, some good thoughts there!

Funny how the 2 Nillkin cases the OP talks about are the exact 2 I bought online.
I bought the white Fresh, and Yellow leather.
Anyway, after having used both, now I know that flip covers, despite the protection it gives, tend to get in the way of general use. Answering calls involve one extra hassle step.
Taking pictures, you have to roll the flip cover up into the triangle as if you are going to use it as a stand and hold it in your left hand, because simply flipping it and folding it over will obstruct the camera.
Nothing wrong with the build quality...I am sure it is better than most cheapos out there. All the useful ports are left uncovered (one of the reasons why I chose Nillkin...there is actual thought process that has gone into the design). If you want to use the magnetic charging port, not many other manufacturers apart from Nillkin make them uncovered.
The yellow I chose is less vibrant in colour (than what it seemed on screen), and does not go so well with the white ZU I have, so that got retired until the day I get SBH-52 and leave my phone in the bag.
For the Nillkin Fresh, I got in white, and am very happy with it, and currently in use.
It has a nice tight fit, seems to be made of good tough plastic, and the texture on the back helps with general grip.
I did make one modification to it, because even though the magnetic charging port is left open by design, it was impossible to get a good connection while the pone was still in the case. So I cut off the thin strip that runs along the screen side of the mag port. Filed it down with nail clipper file, and now it is perfect. It has not lost structural rigidity.
The number of times that i thought that I had closed the USB port properly, but was still slightly open (thus not making it fully waterproof) has prompted me to get the magnetic charging cable. I knew it was something I wanted while I was out choosing the case, so for those who are still looking for cases, I won't say go Nillkin, but make sure you go for one that has the magnetic charging port uncovered.
Whether you buy DK-30 is a different debate. Some like it, but some find it expensive for what it is. There are not many covers out there tat allow you to dock with it on.
But the USB magnetic charging cable is something I believe every ZU owner should have. For that reason get a cover with the port uncovered.

I came back to post a quick update about the case I got and this caught my eye... actually the build quality is the reason as well!!
The case is broken ><. On the top left hand side (near the charging port) the case has snapped. A piece is broken clean off and only after about 2 weeks. I know the case was $10, but I also had build quality issues with a Nexus 4 case, so I am going to say the quality is rather low.
With this new information, I am going to say stay away from this case. The long import time (from HK to US), and poor quality aren't worth it. Spend the few extra bucks and get a quality case you will have for more than a few weeks.
Just my 2 cents though...

GMYLE Nexus 6 Wallet Case Review (with pics!!!)

I couldn't find much information on this case, so I went ahead and bought one. It was only $6.99 on Amazon so if I hated it I wouldn't be out much money. Please excuse the quality of the pictures. They were taken with my Note 3....
Here's a link to the case on Amazon if you want one:
http://www.amazon.com/Google-Nexus-...1442870153&sr=8-3&keywords=GMYLE+nexus+6+case
PLEASE NOTE:
I am NOT affiliated with GMYLE at all!!! I'm just trying to post some useful info for my fellow Nexus 6 owners that may be on the fence about this case.
First impressions:
The packaging was pretty uninspiring. It was in a cheap plastic bag with some GMYLE branding. Upon removal it felt very cheap and low quality, but what do you expect for $7? The piece that holds the phone felt pretty thin and flimsy and I was worried about cracking it when inserting my phone. After getting my phone in safely, I realized how much bulk this added to the phone. It feels twice as big and requires two hands to use safely. The cutouts in the case lined up properly for the buttons, headphone jack, microphone, USB port, etc.
Looks:
This case looks classy as hell. The world map design looks a lot cooler and than the plain brown design in my opinion.
Features:
The ID, credit card, and money slots are very handy, but after transferring the contents of my wallet (ID, three cards, and a five dollar bill) the case was about twice as thick as before and barely fit in my pocket. I watch a lot of movies on my phone so the stand feature is very handy.
Phone protection:
This case feels like it'll protect my phone from short drops onto carpet or the rubber floor at the gym. For drops onto concrete, hardwood, or tile I don't think it'l perform as well as my Ringke Max and may result in a cracked screen or dents/scratches.
Complaints:
There was a glue like substance on the "spine" of the case that wouldn't come off. Rubbing on it just discolored the fake leather and didn't phase the glue at all. The plastic bit that holds my phone feels very thin and like it will break if I try to remove my phone. If I use the flash while taking a picture it "bounces" off of the cutout in the case and causes a blur around the edges of the picture.
Conclusion:
This is a VERY nice wallet case for the money. It even comes with a one year warranty! I've only had it for a few days, but I like it a lot so far. I'll update this thread when/if this case falls apart. If you have any questions post them and I'll do my best to answer them.
Pictures:
The % of people that gave it a 3 or less is 43%. Not exactly confidence inspiring.
For those with $45 to spend on a wallet case, here's the real deal: http://www.ebay.com/itm/genuine-rea...ury-premium-/381110007692?hash=item58bbed378c

This is by no means a long term or high quality case, so the low ratings are understandable. I bought it just because the world map design looks boss and the stand feature is handy for watching movies.
To be honest I'm thinking about ditching this case. The flap is annoying, it barely fits in my pocket, and I have to remove my phone from the case if I want to take a picture with the flash.
The map pattern looks good for the low price, is it heavy? I don't want to add too much weight to the phone

I have no idea of the exact weight, but it's definitely not light. It adds a noticeable amount of weight to the phone.
I got this one:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00STQD9PU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00
While I like the idea of having everything in one piece, it does add a significant amount of heft and weight to it, especially since it's a bi-fold wallet. I still use it occasionally.
I had the GMYLE case for a few weeks (plain brown, before worldmap was released), and I loved it. Combining the phone with wallet was pretty awesome. My main gripe with the case was that over time, small parts of the phone case part (plastic) would chip off, eventually to the point where the case would no longer hold my phone. Before this, I had the Spigen wallet case, which wasn't bad, just the magnet strap thing was getting a lot of wear (always hitting my pocket on the way in).
Now I am using the Vena that jbr05ki posted. I like it a lot. The magnet seems more durable than the Spigen one, and the tri-fold design is nice to have. Overall, I would prefer the GMYLE due to the strapless design, if only the phone case part of it was made of TPU.
*EDIT* Also, forgot to mention that I have had two glass screen protectors, and using the wallet cases seemed to crack both of them...not sure why though, since I put the phone in my front pocket and not my back...

I wanted a REALLY slim wallet case, so I went for the Nilkin sparkle black on Amazon. At $15 USD, it was cheaper than the $40 leather alternative that caught my eye...

Rugged/tough protection case

Has anyone tried any of the cheap tough/tank/rugged cases of ebay or from any of the chinese sites like the ones below? I know they're basically knock offs of more expensive cases, but wanted to see if anyone is using them and if they're decent enough quality. I have a thin clear gel case at the moment which is fine for me as I am generally careful with my devices but fancied the option of having something with more sturdy protection.

Ended up ordering one of these, great fit and quality, feels solid and quick and easy to put on/take off. Delivered really quickly and came with one of those small stylus that clip into the headphone jack and a film screen protector(I didn't fit it), which unfortunately like a lot of them doesn't fit the full screen.

I had two of those cases for my Nexus 5. Came with the same stylus and everything. One of them had the flip cover, but it ended up breaking off.
It's a pretty good case. I generally just use my nexus 5 around the house these days, using those cases, my phone has no visible damage. Though, bear in mind that the Nexus 5 had a lot less glass built into it.

Yea I had the same type for my Galaxy S4, always wanted the one with the flip/door ('Armour view' I think it was called) cover on it but never got it. I had read about the door hinge being a bit fragile and prone to breaking also.
This one for the S7 is great though, really nice sturdy fit and cheap as well. Its not quite as rugged as the ones in the links I look at but its handy as the case can be taken off and put back on quickly if needed, whereas the other ones are really intended to be put on and left on.
you can check my reviews , for now , i love my ottrbox and a cheaper product from amazon

I've got the Artech Little Rock. It's cheap ($29, and a 20% off coupon put it at about $24) and it's as rugged a case as I've ever had. The bezel is a bit hard to snap in, but that only makes it secure the phone that much more

Flip cases for the 6T

Hey everyone,
Since I typically use a flip case (a regular case with a protective cover for the screen that flips open) with all the phones I've owned, I thought I'd open a thread to start a discussion about people's experiences and recommendations with flip cases for the 6T.
Share something and help someone with what product to use!
Reserved
I'm currently using this one:
Foluu Compatible OnePlus 6T Case,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K2S5DFC?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
Pros:
+ magnetic edge on flip cover afixes the flip cover to the back, neatly preventing flapping
+ the sides of the phone are completely covered by a transparent bumper, with cutouts only for usb, alert slider, and speakers
+ relatively screen protector friendly
Cons:
- not a smart cover
- back cover is not a single piece with the sides, adding to bulk
Again, the pro/con list reflects my personal preferences and of course, may not apply at all to you.
Orzly Wallet Flip Case looks decent enough. I am currently using the oneplus 6t flip case with card slot, and its okay. Doesnt flap much, but it does not compare to my last otterbox strada case for the iphone 8 plus. Still looking for something similar.
I've also purchased some ringke 3m card slots, both the plastic and the nylon to add to the tpu cover that was included with the phone. Although not a flipcase, the downside with not having a solid magnet or full edge protection gives higher probability of the phone landing face down when dropped.

I second the motion -- the Otterbox Strada on my Samsung S7 Edge is the gold standard for me. Most expensive case I've bought but has lasted many multiples longer than any other case. It's still a tank and still in use nearly three years later.
Closest case for OnePlus to that standard was the Tech21 flip case for my 6. Don't think they make it for the 6T though.
I'm using the flip case that I got from OnePlus when it's working fine.I've had better and I've had worse but pretty good I'm happy. No issues,, thinking about getting a OtterBox when they come out just for safety. But they're so big and bulky and ugly.,,,,,,,, I guess we'll see

I think that this book one will be my favorite flip case.
Only the Cassette tape case has come in so far.
It's a bit larger then a real cassette tape and it's a big large for the phone.
Then I've purchased another half dozen or so hard cover cases/non flip.

Old brown leather bound book.
I think that this book one will be my favorite flip case.
Only the Cassette tape case has come in so far.
It's a bit larger then a real cassette tape and it's a big large for the phone.
Then I've purchased another half dozen or so hard cover cases/non flip.

Damn, your wife's probably right..!
But it could be worse: you could have a phone fetish instead of a phone case fetish, and that would be much more expensive.
The flip cases that I have ordered so far have come in.
Also, two of the hard cases have arrived as well. (As an aside, I don't like any of those yet. We will see if the rest of the hard cases are any better)
I like the oneplus oem flip case because it is the only one that has a magnetic feature that turns the screen on and off.
That is nice.
But I find it too small and it doesn't offer much protection.
And it only has one debit card slot.
Not useful as a wallet.
The oneplus, cassette tape and book flip cases do not have a magnetic clasp to keep them closed.
I kind of like that feature.
It gives me a fidget to play with.
And it makes it more noticeable if someone opens the case to take my debit card? Dunno.
Lol
Taking a look at the back side of these cases, some of them are not like the others.
Some of the cutouts look off.
I haven't checked them to see if it affects function or not.
Honestly I don't use the camera much anyways.
If anyone has any questions about these cases, let me know and I will do my best to answer them.
If anyone has a suggestion of another flip case for me to try out, then I am all ears!
P.S. And yes. The book is my favorite case so far. Followed by the Tardis.
Hi, I am looking for the same, but it is so hard... I know exactly what I want but all of the good looking cases are plastic inside and all the silicone ones are not-so-good looking.
Anyone found so far a sleek and elegand flip case with silicone inside?
