Tried a couple. Didn't work until i disabled call screening.

Is there a setting to disable it ?

I haven't used Bold Beast for awhile because I always had issues with it after updates. I use Call Recorder by SKvalex. His call recorder works perfectly with call screening enabled and he provides constant updates. I'm rooted and I think that some people on his thread have had success with unrooted devices also but I'm not sure. You can download the main app on the playstore but you have to get the root companion from his thread on XDA.

Didn't work for me. Had tried the same before. Nothing gets recorded for me. Call screening also breaks as transcription doesn't work when recording is on. Can you share your settings ?

Sure. I have Call recorder version 3.04 and Root addon companion version 2.03_1
I thought I had the Device setting as the Pixel XL 2 but it must have changed during an upgrade at some point. I just checked and the Device is set as
Qualcomm MSM89xx
Recording Method= Root
Root Settings
Audio source=CAF
Recording format=FLAC
Volume control= 200%
All other boxes are left unchecked.
For call screen make sure you have all these enabled unless you it has rolled out natively for you. The first one was added later and my call screen didn't work very well until I went back in and enabled it.
<boolean name="__data_rollout__SpeakEasy.CallScreenOnPixelOneAndTwoRollout__launched__" value="true" />
<boolean name="__data_rollout__SpeakEasy.OverrideUSLocaleCheckRollout__launched__" value="true" />
<boolean name="G__enable_speakeasy_details" value="true" />
<boolean name="G__speak_easy_bypass_locale_check" value="true" />
<boolean name="G__speak_easy_enabled" value="true" />

Nevermind

I was using the same things. Not working for me. Outgoing works but during incoming call, the transcript breaks and it doesn't record anything the other person says. Is it working perfectly for you ?

Yeah, both sides of the conversation record perfectly for me. There was a couple of versions prior to this release of call recorder that didn't work though. I would try the update but always reinstall the older version that worked. This latest update works the best so far.

I have my call recording back thanks to the skvalex call recording app. Call screening isn't transcribing the person's responses.

In a few countries Google enabled the call recording feature in Pixel / Pixel 2 / Pixel 3 Android 9 Pie, no root needed, most recorders in the market work great. For example Pixel 3 in China mainland has the feature enabled, so no root needed.
However in most countries Google disabled the call recording feature in Pixel / Pixel 2 / Pixel 3 Android 9 Pie, as a result all recorders in the market can only record your own voice, the caller's voice is very weak in recordings. No matter what recorder you are using the result is the same. You should root the phone then Boldbeast Recorder can fix the problem, recorded calls are crystal clear in both sides. After root the phone please use the Alsa settings in this link to record calls: Google Pixel 3 Call Recording
Pixel phones have a new feature named ""Call Screening", some users said the feature doesn't work well when the recorder is working. Please change following settings in Boldbeast Recorder to perfectly fix the problem:
Call Settings - Incoming Calls - Auto Detect Answered State: No
Call Settings - Incoming Calls - Answered State Delay (Seconds): 3

Confirmed that v11.8 is working on my Pixel 2 XL which has been rooted and is running the Liquid Remix custom ROM
Only issue is that the dialer key press tones are not recorded, but am not sure that they should be

Thanks !!!
Odp: Callrecorder 1.3.1 not work
It will not work until bootloader is locked and we can't use custom kernels. Callrecorder needs patched kernel.

im using call rec and work great at 4.04,now i have JB but does not work any more..Now i try total recall and call recorder and both not work,,so question is does must root my JB 4.1.2 to work this app, or exist chance without root, app work very bad now because record on at mic, so sound is teriball but voice link when going on write dont suport. So what you think?
"Record My Call" is FREE and does not need rooting. I always used it since a year without any issues. Crystal Clear voice recorded both sides. Many options.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.record.my.call&hl=en
Just Select "Phone Call" option in Trick settings for audio source to record both sides clearly.

First problem phone call not support, just mic
Second swow sumary after call
some other app?
some recommendation ?
Hello,
I have the exact same problem as you, I am currently on a P760 with JB V20C Europe (the problem also occurs for me on V20B), I tried tons of applications to record my calls (skvalex Call Recorder, Total Recall, Record My Calls, ...) without any success.
If I select a setting with "Mic" or "Default", I end up with a sound file which have the good duration but which is empty.
If I select "Phone call" or "Voice Up and Down" (or "Kernel" but no surprise for this one as there is no current 2WCR support), I end up with absolutly no file recorded : some applications seems to "crash" when the call starts.
Does someone have any idea ?
I read on one of those application description that LG integrates on his ROMs a protection against call recording. Is it true ?
Can someone which get it work on the P760 give his precise ROM (version and region) ?
Thank you very much for your answers
We need to wait for 2way call recording option enabled in kernel

This is not working at all on V20D HongKong. I am also looking for good call-recorder.
Btw, this one works but sometimes call recordings are dropped or noise is recorded.
EDIT: Just now re-downloaded latest 21-4-2013 build of "Record My Call" and hey. The calls recording are working fine. Except one or two calls are dropped from recording but now seems improved a lot. I have disabled preview after call end.

Seriously, I don't understand how it works. I just tried the last version of this application and I still have the same issue on my phone (L9 P760 with JB V20C Europe) :
- "Phone call" setting makes the application fail to record (no file generated)
- "Microphone" setting makes the application record an empty file
Maybe it is due to the ROM region (some Europe countries laws forbid calls recording). I should try your ROM version (V20D HongKong). Is a P765 ROM compatible with P760 ? (I will probably lost the NFC feature but I don't even know what usage I can do with it )

I just tried to install the same ROM as you (V20D Hong Kong for P765) on my P760. I installed "Record my calls" and disabled call review after record. The result is still the same :
- On "Microphone" audio source set, an empty sound file is recorded (with the good duration)
- On "Phone" audio source set, a message appears on a call and it says the call cannot be recorded
Is there a real hardware difference between our phones which impacts call recording ? That could maybe explain also why all the current custom kernels goes to panic on my phone .
I finally find a solution to my issue and I can record my calls ! Tested on a P760 with JB V20C Europe (root required).
By looking on Internet, I found a TI-OMAP device which has call recording officially supported : the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. So I decide to apply the call recording method for this device on my P760.
Here is the method
- Install ALSA Mixer (this application requires root)
- Check if ALSA Mixer is operational (when you start this application, you should see a low level I/O part names list)
- Install Skvalex Call Recorder (I used 1.3.5 version)
- In Call Recorder setting, select the device "Galaxy Nexus (GSM)" instead of "LG Optimus L9"
- Make a incoming call from an external phone
Your call should be recorded !
EDIT : Just to tell, I installed the 1.3.9 version and a reboot was required for valid call recording with this trick.
you saved me
tank you
make good
nooo
after 1 or 2 hours stops working registration
I only hear my voice
I have P760 with JB V20D vodafone
Does someone have any idea ?
P.S.
I disabled the task manager but it did not do anything
something stops working, if I restart the phone it works for 1 or 2 hours later...
I know that some recent ALSA Mixer update forces me to also update Call Recorder because it wasn't working anymore.
My current version of ALSA Mixer is now 1.1.3 and CallRecorder is 1.5.2. My ROM version is V20L.
It also seems that the author has fix the invalid parameters for LG Optimus L9 with JB. Now, you do not need to set "Galaxy Nexus (GSM)".
I tried to uninstall and delete all folders
now about 7 hours that works
hopefully good
however, use your own version
P.S.
thanks anyway for the help

Hi. Lenovo P780 has Recorder app build in. If you dont like this yu can try alot of recorders app from Google Magazin Play, just search for Recorder.

In theory, no phone has that. It's kind of a privacy thing. On an IPhone, it's not possible without doing God knows what. On Android, I'm sure there is an app for that, but by default it's not possible.
Just go to the Play store and search for it ? Googling for Android call recording came up with 3 high rated apps already, so you should be fine
Edit : just saw on S123 ROW that there is a button on the ongoing call screen to indeed record the call

What is the best way to record calls?

I'm still searching a valid way to record the calls, currently I have the H7 PLK-L01 B380.
First of all, i've tried to enable the stock call recorder of H7 (in EU is disabled due to the privacy policy), i've followed various thread on XDA on how to enable this feature, i've done all steps, but when i try to start a recording, this immediatly stop and giving me an "Unknown Error" message.
Then i've tested the following apps:
- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nll.acr
- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.toh.callrecord
- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.boldbeast.recorder (recommended for Huawei devices)
- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skvalex.callrecorder (paid app)
But all of these at maximum record only by internal device MIC (all other recording methods not working), then my voice is clear and loud, but the voice of others have a very very low volume, because that is recorded by MIC that come from ear's speaker.
So, someone know a valid way to record the calls in Both direction (Caller and Called)?

Call recording without rooting?

Call recording is important to me. In the past I've always rooted my phones and used @skvalex's app which is amazing.
For the first time, I'm considering not rooting because I want Google Pay and system updates to work smoothly. I know there are workarounds but they seem like a lot of trouble.
Has anyone found a good solution to record calls on the pixel without root?
I have the US version, unlocked.
Thanks!
Try this
OnePlus Call Recorder - Apps on Google Play
OnePlus Call Recorder lets you record Whatsapp, Skype, Zoom and Telegram calls.

Hi ameer, unfortunately that app doesn't record the internal uplink+downlink. Rather it records from the devices's mic. Several apps do this such as Call Recorder by @skvalex (the best). But they can't record bluetooth conversations.

It doesn't help without root. If you select uplink / downlink in the settings without root, the calls will not be recorded.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Up until this phone, I used JOnePlus Tools app to enable stock call recording in my previous phones, the 7 pro, 6t and 5t, unrooted. I have installed it and done so with my n10 5g but i dont see it working like it had in the past. I dont know if maybe its the dialer, or if the nord maybe didnt come with the ability to record calls like the phones before it. Either way, without root it seems your options might be limited.

This is because the Nord series comes with the Google dialer instead of the OnePlus dialer.
In Oxygen OS 11 it is reportedly possible to installthe oneplus dialer and enable recording. The Nord has an OOS update but the Nord n10 5G does not.
I have bought Nord n10 5G today for my wife, but I realized now that call recording is not allowed on this. Do you have any methods to make it possible?
I have tried the OCR mentioned above and it works well on Nord n10 5G even though file name doesn't have contact name. But voice is well recorded clearly.
Looks to me like that OCR is the same as the other noon root solutions that record from the speakers rather than the phone line.
This means it will not work for calls via Bluetooth.
It's not much different than just using the built in screen recorder and extracting the audio.

Question Call recording?

Anyone knows how to enable call recording on the new pro? Thanks!
There's a magisk module that works for it if you're rooted, linked below. I use this successfully. The only downside I have is no on/off in the dialer that I can find
axet / android-call-recorder · GitLab

Yeah it's a paid app and requires root to fully function, but it's the best call recorder I've used. You can set rules of when and who to record based on number, whether to autosave recordings or prompt you after the call.
I am glad that this APP, which I have bought for my Pixel 3, still works for Pixel 6

Using this one (root method): https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/mod-root-enable-call-recording-on-google-phone.4278659/
Works great with default dialer, only con is that I have to kill the phone app after every reboot (it will say 'not supported in your region' if I don't do it).
