Samsung Galaxy SM-C7018 - Galaxy C7 Pro - Can I get Google apps suite for it? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello there,
I own this phone for about a year. I bought it with Android 6.0.1 and Google suite working - I was able to sync my google account on it and use Google apps with no issue.
Since I did not receive any updates, I upgraded to Android 8.0.0 using Odin and a stock image from samsung-firmware.org namely C7018CHM1CRH2/,
which immediately updated OTA to C7018ZMU2CRI1.
All because I did not wanted to root my device.
Unfortunately this version is for CHM only, and I am stuck with a really nice phone, and a really unpleasant situation:
NO google services available
add Google account impossible
Google store not existing.
I tried
some apps for installing the google suite (one of them for Xiaomi, one "universal")
apks for google services (framework service, play service, authentication framework, contact sync, calendar sync, etc.) and for Google Play Store, some were installed, some not(auth & contact sync), with versions for Android 8.0.0
The visible result was that in the "Add Account" in settings, google appeared as an option - not working, though.
Can you advise on an alternative solution?
Would C7010 / 701F stock images work on C7018?
Thanks,

You can try installing a custom recovery and flashing an OpenGapps image to fix that... or try sideloading the apps onto the device.

Downgrade from Oreo to Nougat - failed. Odin <Auth> error, sw rev check fail
I did try to downgrade the Oreo update to nougat in order to avoid the original issue of this thread - No Google suite on Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro SM-C7018.
And the result was very disappointing: soft bricked it.
Stuck on loading loop. Entered bootloader from recovery mode.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

[Solved] - installed sammobile image of OREO - Still no Google applications

I wanted to avoid rooting ... I tried side loading, did not work.

Case closed
I returned the C7018 and got a C7010 instead.

And to others who are stuck with this variant -
C7010 and c7018 are literally 99.99% same the only difference is c7010 has tgy csc and has google services while c7018 has no google play service and has chc....
If you don't want to stick around with c7018 with no play services and stuff ... then you can install a custom rom for your variant (Sudo Rom , Eulah rom , etc which support c7018 natively )
But if you don't want to void your Knox/warranty then you can flash this official firmware via Odin-https://firmware.gem-flash.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=folder&id=18703
So problem solved ....

Years later, I am writing an answer to the subject so that it is necessary for my old phone to get a solution. I have a samsung C7 Pro SM-7018 Android 6.0.1 phone. Since an application that I use very often does not work with Android 13, I took my old phone back to use it. I thought I'd do an update while I was ready. I downloaded the latest version Android OFW 8.0 Chinese Oreo software and installed it with odin. But I saw that Google play services are not available. I installed google play services and store. But didn't worked. I downloaded Android 7.0 but Odin didn't installed it. I tried to install OFW 6.0.1 but no way. After all I tried to instal custom fw but there is no OEM Unlock option in developer mode. so TWRP Recovery installation didn't work. At last I downloaded Hong Kong version SM-7010 OFW and installed it to SM-7018 now I have google services and store. also firmware includes my region language Turkish. No need to patch language or else. Now my Phone is OFW SM-7010 and 8.0 Oreo.

You can use SM-7010 Hong Kong OFW in SM-7018 c7 pro.

[Q] Help: can't add a google account on the phone

Hi everyone
My friend bought this phone, i guess it's a chinese version of an Samsung Galaxy S5. He was testing it and the phone doesn't even bring the Google Play Store. I tried to installed manually but as soon as it opens it closes itself. I then proceed to check his android account but found that there was none on the phone and it didn't even asked for one. We factory reseted the phone and it still didn't asked for a google account.
I went to the settings to try and upgrade its android version but found no upgrade button.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance

That's because it doesn't have any Google Apps package installed. It's common with chinese devices (clones). You need to install a gapps package and probably spoof the phone as another one. There's tutorials on the net if you Google it. You'll need root.

"Device not compatible with this version" on Play Store (but it was just before!!!)

"Device not compatible with this version" on Play Store (but it was just before!!!)
Hi everyone,
so, today I unlocked my Pocophone F1. Unlocking resulted on complete reset of the phone, so I use google backup to reinstall all my apps, texts, settings, etc. Now, I notice that one app which I use a lot does not install again on the phone as (sorry I translate from italian) "Your device is not compatible with this version". The app is a train company timetable\ticket one ("Italo Treno" app). I live in italy, region and language are right on phone settings, the same time and date. The weird thing is that that app was installed before unlocking the device (so until this afternoon!). I tried cleaning Play Store datas and cache but nothing, even uninstalling play store updates, nothing changed. I even flashed fastboot version of stock ROM but again, nothing. Anyone can tell me what to do?

google maps crashing on 4.4.4. kitkat

Hello, i have a problem with samsung alpha on 4.4.4. kitkat. When i try to use google maps, if i click on directions and select car, application will crash. If i select bus, it will sometimes crash. If i select walking, it will never crash and normaly show path. If i upgrade application, it doesnt crash but instead locks up and heats the mobile phone a lot.
What i tried so far:
1) gps on/off, tried using only wifi/mobile data
2) tried all 4 versions of 4.4.4 for my country, first and latest update
3) it works fine on 5.0.2, though i want to remain on 4.4.4
4) tried resetting gps
5) tried rooting phone, uninstalling app completely and reinstalling it, doesnt help
6) tried like a 100 different stock roms from different countries and couldnt get a single 1 to work, they all fail or go into infinite boot loop
Please help me with my problem. I really like this phone and would hate it to leave a bad taste because if this 1 problem. Btw, the only roms that work for my phone are on the link below. I tried other links from my country (branded ones, not opened ones) and nothing works. I want to remain on stock rom btw.

Google maps does the same for me. It hangs when I click on 'directions'. I have a Samsung Galaxy ACE4 SM-G357FZ with Android 4.4.4. It started happening to me a few months ago. I thought it was because my phone has only 1GB RAM, and I removed or disabled every app that I don't use regularly, but it didn't help. I switched to Sygic GPS. It is better than google for walking, and it works OK for driving, but I miss not having the bus and subway schedules on google maps. I don't have the option of updating to 5. As far as I know, the last update was a Jan 2017 security update of 4.4.4. I have a Nexus 7 tablet. Updating it from Android 4.4 to 5 made it so slow it is useless.
" though i want to remain on 4.4.4"
why?
Try the workaround posted 7/6/19 here: support.google.com/maps/thread/9075511
Or reverting to previous version of the app posted 2/17/20 here: support.google.com/maps/thread/3592231

problem with my new (second handed) nokia 7.1

I've got a nokia 7.1 and setting up now. I have three problems.
I cannot install netflix. It does not appear from the google play store. If I install it manually, only showed a message 'this phone is not supported.' what will be the problem?
I cannot use google pay. I can load the information of my credit card. When I try to authenticate the card for the actual use, it fails. The app says, this phone is unlocked or changed and for the security reason, the use of google pay is restricted. But in my knowledge, my phone is in mint condition.
It is android 9. with security patch for 1Aug2018. I found from your website that it is not the latest update so I tried to update but, the system update says this is the latest version.
I'd like to fix at least the security update problem. It is annoying to keep it August.
Any solutions?
Is there any way to install the security update manually?
Are you running the standard ROM? Sounds like you might be rooted and running a custom ROM.
I have also some problems on my phone nokia 7.1 TA-1085, when i opened the camera it says camera keeps stopping. My youtube, torch light and camera wont work. Some months ago it worked automatically and stoped working few days. It happende 2 times. Now its not. I did many things like clear storage, forced to stop still not.So today I updated android 10 still not. Any solution ? Please;

Are you bootloader unlocked? Netflix will not install if the phone is bootloader unlocked.
You can manually install the security patch OTAs. Go to the OTA DLL thread ...skip to page 6/7. Download the .zip package for the each monthly update and put them on an SD Card. Reboot to recovery and select "apply update from SD."
I'm on mobile so I can't link right now.
